Was Billy Graham A Celebrity Pastor?


What yall think? Ruslan asked a very interesting question on his Facebook page, was Billy Graham A CELEBRITY Pastor? Billy Graham never held a public office of any sort, he was an American evangelical Christian pastor who had a net worth of over $25 million at the time of his death in 2018. Billy Graham was also a Southern Baptist who rose to celebrity status as his sermons were broadcast on radio and television.  "With this new wave of celebrity pastors, could Billy be considered one of the FIRST celeb pastors? Or was the way he conducted himself more along the lines of a well-known servant?"   In my opinion, according to today's modern language Billy Graham was, an influencer, he was NOT a CELEBRITY. Most celebrities are self-absorbed. One could never accuse Billy Graham of that. People came because of the truth he imparted. He was an example for all to follow.... he lived his faith...

      Graham is still widely referenced in many Christian circles for many reasons. Discussing his legacy is very appropriate and will continue to take place.

    He admitted that he didn’t do enough to address racism and discrimination. He said he was on the wrong side of history in that regard. Talk about that part!

      If anyone claims he / she is didcrimated against, they should take the racist claim to the courts and vet it there. A ministers call is the Great Commission - go ye therefore and preach the gospel to all people. MR.Graham led many to the Lord, and all.led by him have treasures stored for them in the kingdom.

    I wouldn't say he was a celebrity pastor, and if he was alive today I don't think he would want to be considered in that regard. Pastor Billy Graham provided spiritual counsel to 12 sitting U.S. presidents—from Harry S. Truman to Barack Obama. He was more a praying pastor to the Presidents and even in that role, he still didn't get caught up in the politics of his role/support to the Presidents.

Yall the above picture has set off a firestorm online after Worship Leader Chandler Moore post a picture of him simulating doggy style as his wife “twerks” on him after their wedding. In my opinion, this is an inappropriate picture to post on social media, especially if you are claiming to work for the kingdom of GOD. The picture is distasteful and inappropriate for public consumption. They should’ve kept that to themselves. Don't get me wrong, they’re young and probably wouldn’t share this with the world as they grow and mature in Christ. Any believer who doesn’t see anything wrong with it is revealing where they are in Christ and how much they reverence the Lord. The spirit of the fear of the Lord is missing in the church today. After A Long Fight In Court - Today The Widow Of Archbishop Roy E Brown Will Be Forced Into Homelessness!!!.

I can't believe the church did this,  this is a travesty. The widow of Archbishop Brown will be evicted today. This should be an eyeopener for all Pastorwives/1st Ladies/Elect Ladies. They should obtain their OWN INSURANCE policy OUTSIDE the church on their husbands. Some of these churches will leave you up the creek without a paddle. Everyone has a different perception of what it is to financially care for someone after the death of their spouse. You better make sure you can take care of yourself.  Let us pray for Lady Paula Scarlett-Brown.
