Billy Porter is an award-winning actor & singer. Some are suggesting his appearance on the show will indoctrinate our kids, I haven't a clue about that. Sesame Street announced yesterday that actor Billy Porter was going to appear on an episode and the right is already outraged. Porter, who is known both for his portrayal of Pray Tell in the series Pose as well as for his extravagant red carpet outfits, was featured in some pictures that Sesame Street posted to social media.

An FBI investigation into human trafficking and immigration fraud culminated in Wednesday’s arrest of three U.S. leaders of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. This is the latest in a string of legal troubles for the Philippines-based church, led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy. After raiding KOJC’s Los Angeles-area offices, federal authorities arrested three administrators for allegedly forcing immigrants to participate in a fundraising scam. As far back as 2013, say investigators, KOJC secured visas under false pretenses for church members. Once these volunteers, often called “miracle workers,” arrived, their passports were confiscated and they were forced to solicit money on streets. Though donations supposedly were being collected for poor Filipino children, the FBI’s Laura Eimiller says, “In reality, we believe the money is going to fund the lavish lifestyles of the leaders of this scheme."

Do yall think that churches should allow registered sex offenders to attend their church? A Tennessee lawmaker has introduced a bill that would allow registered sex offenders to attend church with permission from the church leader. I want to know yall thoughts?

This is an interesting article, how Bishop Joseph Walker lll and his lovely wife Dr. Stephaine Hale Walker and their church, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, are helping to remove the stigma associated with getting mental health counseling. As we know mental illness is still a very taboo subject in the black community. Not only are many African Americans not willing to speak on it, but a lot find it to be a personal weakness. “Black people don’t go to therapy we pray about it” or “depression is a weakness, stop complaining about your life” is thrown out there a lot. Yesterday Morris Brown College Chairman Bishop Reginald Jackson and MBC President Advisory Board member, Dr. Jamal Bryant along with members of the 6th episcopal district, went to the Georgia Capitol to call on Govorner Kemp to pass legislation to prosecute hate crimes. In an hour where white supremacy is surging, there must be protection for minority communities. To take money away from defense attorneys to give to prosecutors is just HATE. MBC is not only educating, but also involved in social justice and politics!

Church I’m a church girl and love choir music. This tribute concert is going to be awesome, it will be held in Nashville, TN, April 25, 2020. I really miss a good church choir. The church choir's job was not just to sing beautifully, but rather it was to minister to the congregation and to each other in a variety of ways, helping to change the world into a more loving and peaceful place. Church what's yall reaction? Now, in my opinion, faith, or lack thereof is a personal matter and he is entitled to share his beliefs the same as any other person. Respect is a two-way street, and I feel no disrespect was given to those who believe differently than himself. I feel it is most disrespectful by anyone to hound, dog or otherwise push someone to convert to any faith system they do not share. I have found most Christians believe in freedom of religion, as long as it's their religion.

Church I had a “pastor” call me out in front of the whole church one time. I was a young mother, lost, & not in church regularly, 1st and 3rd Sundays. My daughter made a little peep....she did not even cry. I didn’t go to the nursery & leave her with people I had never even met, I left.  We didn’t go anywhere for years. I still remember going to church as a child we didn't have nurseries, mom and dad took care of children in the safety of the sanctuary, and I never heard a pastor complain about one. This pastor is enjoying himself a little too much in my opinion. I tell you what, Jesus is coming and it won't be long before HE split those Eastern Skies. What in the world is this world coming to? Now you have this church in one city asking all older folks to leave and now you have this church in Tennessee with the pastor kicking out a mother and small child. What's yall think was the pastor out of line?

Church on Sunday, January 19, 2020, congregants were left shocked after their pastor Reverend Bassie Jackals, passed away while delivering a sermon at African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kuruman, Northern Cape. A viral video that has been circulating online shows the pastor going to sit down in the middle of his powerful sermon, members of the church are seen applaud him, thinking it's all part of the sermon. However, the Northern Cape reverend then falls to the floor. He is survived by his wife Puleng Christina Jackals and four daughters. The video clip can be found on youtube.

The University Convocation is the assembling of the student body and staff leadership in order to inform and inspire. With over thousands in attendance and thousands more watching online and on television, Liberty University’s Convocation is the largest weekly gathering of college students in the world.

They better figure it out quickly. Bishop said in the interview that people want the true Gospel. They want to see God work. Addiction is real, and it hides in many forms, and it eventually leads to death. But there's always hope. Church, if I'm understanding this right Grove United Methodist Church in Cottage Grove Minnesota, is not allowing anyone with grey hair to attend their church after it closes in June and reopens in November because they want to attract young families. Members of Grove United Methodist Church is upset enough that their church is closing in June. What makes it worse is that their church is reopening in November — pretty much without them. The church wants to attract more young families. The present members, most of them over 60 years old, will be invited to worship somewhere else. A memo recommends that they stay away for two years, then consult the pastor about reapplying. Rumors has it that the Methodist Conference is paying them $250,000 to "restart" the church - but only if they kick all the previous older members out.

The media personality feels that if they would have gotten married, their relationship would not have worked out. A woman was accused by a Dayton church of altering a charitable check to be paid directly to her and changed the amount paid by hundreds of dollars, according to a Dayton police incident report. A member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in downtown Dayton reported a fraudulent check was cashed and electronically deposited from an account the church uses for charity, investigators said in the police report. The check was originally made out to the Ohio Treasurer BMV for $10, and the funds were intended to help a 41-year-old Dayton woman obtain a state-issued identification card, church officials told police. After receiving a notification from their bank, the church found the check has been completely altered. The church first accused the woman of changing the amount of the check to $632. In addition, the church said she changed who the check was made out to, from the Ohio BMV to herself and the date the check was issued from Dec. 6, 2019 to Jan. 6, 2020, the report states

Church this confirms what I've felt for some time. And I would argue there will never be such a thing as a multi-cultural congregation....except for maybe the catholic church. I would argue that a “multi-cultural” church is really a myth. As a black Christian, I used to think that multi-ethnic congregations were a good thing, but I no longer think that....white supremacy is so deep in most white churches and it's the ugly effect it has on the Church. I hate to advocate segregation for black Christians, but I think it might be a necessary one, to not have to deal with white supremacy, but two, to affirm our blackness. What do you think?

Church I'm thinking Pastor John Gray is in serious need of a new PR team, in my opinion, his present PR team sucks at representing him and his church. What yall think? Anyhow, 2020 has started badly for Relentless Church Senior Pastor John Gray. From his church facing eviction to being sued for $75K in unpaid wages to now having Oprah's network canceling his TV show.  The Oprah Winfrey Network has announced it's canceling Relentless Church pastor John Gray's television show, "The Book of John Gray," as he faces down two separate lawsuits including one that seeks to evict him from facilities owned by pastors Ron and Hope Carpenter.

Church what yall think about Pastor Fred Price Jr. Facebook post from last night? It's interesting, to say the least, and here's why. Church according to William McCray Bishop Richard John White was arrested on Thursday Night for assaulting his daughter. According to McCray's source that's close to the father said that the father and daughter had gotten into a heated argument when things took a turn for the worse.    The father is said to have taken a vase and smashed it over his daughter’s head that required her to go to the emergency room. It was added that this happened in front of his grandchildren, which added to the felony charges he is facing. The recent widower is being held in Fayette County without bond and most likely it will be Tuesday before he can go before a judge to be bond with Monday being the King Holiday! This could have been worse that what it is. Church talk about pandering, Trump held an Oval Office event today aimed at reminding public schools that students have constitutional rights to prayer – and that they could risk losing federal funds unless those rights are protected. Now I don't have a problem with anybody praying as long as everybody of every faith is giving the same rights to pray to their god. As a matter of fact, I would encourage ALL students of different faiths, other than Trump, to go all out to exercise their rights to their kind of prayers and worship. Trump and followers will not like it if it as it is not their brand of faith. It would be great to have reinforced protections AGAINST prayers in school for those who are not religious. It is a PUBLIC institution... if you want religion in school, send your child to a private school associated with their religion. We have to appease ALL people in public institutions. Get Religion out of Government. Period

Church a donation from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church has wiped out the debt of more than 1,200 south DeKalb residents, thanks to a partnership with RIP Medical Debt, a New York-based nonprofit organization. Senior Pastor Dr. Jamal Bryant directed the relief efforts to individuals residing in the 30038 ZIP code, which includes Stonecrest and Lithonia. Church officials said nearly $1.3 million in medical debt was erased through its partnership with RIP Medical Debt. The average resolved medical debt was $1,065.  “We are blessed to be a blessing and this effort has truly helped families start the New Year without the stress, worry, and concern that often accompanies looming medical bills and calls from debt collectors,” said Dr. Bryant. “When a medical issue occurs, the subsequent bills can wreak havoc on a family’s finances leading some down a path of bad credit or left with reservations about even seeking medical attention for fear of the costs for services.”

Church where do you stand? Is it appropriate to include Christian themes in military ceremonies, or should the Space Force remain secular? Those are some of the questions some are asking after a recent swearing-in ceremony for a commander of trump’s newly minted “Space Force” that included strong religious themes. During the ceremony, the commander was reportedly asked to place a hand on a Bible while an Episcopal bishop said a blessing. As news of the incident spread, many took issue with the decision to use the Bible to swear in a member of the military – a practice historically reserved only for members of congress and other public officeholders. But the wording of the blessing also caught people’s attention: "Accept this Bible which we dedicate here today for the United States Space Force, that all may so diligently search your holy word and find in it the wisdom that leads to peace and salvation, through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen."

Church West Angeles COGIC Cathedral is not only Presiding Bishop C.E. Blakes Church,, but it is also the biggest and most expensive church in the Church Of God In Christ. For almost 20 years monthly payments were almost $100,000 dollars and West Angeles COGIC never missed a monthly payment. Church the doctrine of the Trinity is the Christian belief that: There is One God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Other ways of referring to the Trinity are the Triune God and the Three-in-One. The Trinity is a controversial doctrine; many Christians will admit they don't understand it, while many more Christians don't understand it but think they do. In fact, although they'd be horrified to hear it, many Christians sometimes behave as if they believe in three Gods and at other times as if they believe in one. The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain.
