Since they sponsor dude church and even advertise dude worship, they have some responsibility in this situation. The SBC believes that men should provide for their families. They also claim to be pro-life and pro-family, but when the chips are down will they put their money where their mouth is? No one asked him to change his beliefs they only asked that he remove the post.  It doesn’t change his beliefs by refraining from posting them on social media or deleting a post to keep a $4 million dollar contract. Everyone who thinks this is unnecessary clearly needs a wake-up call. In the world today no matter the sport you cannot say those things. UFC, NFL, NBA, WWE, NRL, Soccer, Tennis all of it you will not keep your job after those comments, especially after already being warned.

I'm sorry Meagan but you can't have your cake and eat it too. I don’t think Meagan should have been “assaulted” as she puts it. However, I have heard about this movie and folks are saying that some of the scenes were a bit much. And they weren’t expecting that. But if her husband is comfortable with having another man lick on his wife, so be it. I would be concern with letting someone like that preach to me and pour into me spiritually. After all, you can’t expect the sheep to follow a shepherd who promotes something that is not holy in their personal life. I'm not saying these people have to be perfect but we hold leaders to a higher standard.  I think maybe she's too embarrassed to be seen in the church community after a movie like that.

Between May 6th and May 12th, organizers across the country will bail out as many mothers and caregivers as they can. The Mama’s Day Bail Out is an annual action that calls attention to the cruelties of pretrial detention, frees our people from cages so they can be home with their families for Mother’s Day, provides supportive services to those we bail out and supports local campaigns to end money bail and pretrial detention.

Good Thursday morning online congregation, in my opinion, molestations and rape are among the most heinous of offenses that one can encounter. Also, in my opinion, it's a doggone shame for it to be used by church leaders as a rallying tool to raise money. It got to be an especially difficult time to be a survivor of sexual abuse or assault while dealing with the daily struggle to stay safe and healthy, sexual abuse survivors also have to contend with an endlessly triggering news cycle. No victims of these kinds of abuse expect a trigger at a Christian event.  Anyhow one of my Facebook friends did a post last night about Bishop Greg Davis of The Word Network who did a live last night shaming the victims of these heinous acts by asking them to sow a shame seed. Good Wednesday morning online congregation burning sage is now the topic of discussion online. I'm seeing a lot of women posting about sage burning to cleanse their houses, but does this contradict the Christian beliefs?  Some think it's demonic, others think that it wards away bad spirits. There is no biblical basis for smudging/burning sage to rid the home of evil spirits, auras, energies or vibes or for spiritual protection. This Christian woman used her platform to educate, expose, uplift and confront racism within Christian theology, the American cultural underbelly of white supremacy. Rachel Held Evans was one of the only white women with a big platform doing the Christian work of fighting for Black, Brown, and LGBTQ people. She called out the patriarchal mindset, woman's issues as well as myriad contemporary issues including police brutality and the murders of black people. She left this realm too early after succumbing to an allergy to antibiotics. May her family and friends find peace in their faith and love of one another.
