Online congregation, I'm shaking my head at this, "Forty-eight percent of white evangelicals say that embattled Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh should be confirmed even if the allegations of sexual assault against him are true." Not a surprise whatsoever for me. White Evangelicals, for the most part, care infinitely more about patriotism, actually nationalism, than they do for what Jesus referred to as the "weightier matters of the law such as love, mercy and justice".

I thought this was interesting comment: Anyone claiming to be a Christian who supports Trump or the GOP simply isn’t. Trump and the GOP could not be more out of alignment with so called Christian values. To say the very least, Jesus would not have voted for Trump. "Christians should think of how God rescued them. Online congregation Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. implored conservatives and Christians to support “street fighters” over “nice guys” in order to defeat the Democratic Party’s agenda. Falwell, a staunch supporter of  45 , referred to current Republican lawmakers as a “bunch of wimps” in a tweet Friday night. “Conservatives & Christians need to stop electing ‘nice guys’. They might make great Christian leaders but the US needs street fighters like @realDonaldTrump at every level of government b/c the liberal fascists Dems are playing for keeps & many Repub leaders are a bunch of wimps!” he wrote. These so called church leaders have become disgusting. They're more like devils, than servants of God. The churches need to be cleansed of their evil. Many thanks and kudos to all my readers and commenters over the years.  For 10 years I’ve paid attention to what pleases me(NOT THE HATERS)annoys me, strikes me as odd and perplexes me. And I wrote about them as well as the news and church issues that related to the Black community.

It was the vision of Drs. Matthew & Kamilah Stevenson to have a place where people would gather for a time of refreshing, sharpening, and direction. In its 12 years, it has evolved into a nationally recognized conference where attendees are equipped in practical ministry, receive prophetic impartation, and most importantly are empowered to be World Changers. My only gripe with this conference lineup is that it doesn't have any women speakers. Dr. Stevenson you have to change that.

But a new analysis shows that black men defy this trend. A study by the Pew Research Center released Wednesday (Sept. 26) has found that while black men are less religious than black women, they are more religious than white women and white men. African-American men are equally as likely as Hispanic women to be what Pew considers “highly religious,” so they are tied as the second-most religious group. The findings are not entirely surprising, given earlier data on African-American faith. In general, Pew has found, African-Americans are more religious than whites and Latinos, and they are more likely to say they read the Bible regularly and consider it to be the Word of God.

Yesterday morning, Jerry Falwell Jr., the president of Liberty University, the country’s largest Christian university, announced that he plans on sending 300 Liberty students to counter protest. If this was a learning experience about politics, women's right, court proceedings, government or anything similar then I can understand. However, when you specifically frame it as "support Kavanaugh" well.... now I have a problem.

Haha, I tell you what, online congregation y 'all need to leave Dr. Matthew Stevenson along. In my humble opinion I think he's one of most prophetic voices in the world today.  I no, I no as of lately he has been catching a lot of pushback and hell online because of a 40 second soundbite that has gone viral. One thing I can say about the young apostle is that he can hold his own. Yes, Larry Reid Live did a whole segment last night about the viral video clip. For me personal, I'm in total disagreement with what most of the callers had to say about the young apostle. If Young Matthew Stevenson and his lovely wife had a church in Jacksonville FL area, hubby and I would no longer be consider  unchurch.

Good morning online congregation, in March 2018, Audrey Stevenson was assaulted at The Potter's House of Fort Worth campus during Sunday service. This week, after officers failed to charge parties involved, Ms. Stevenson has filed a lawsuit to recover damages from her attack. 22 years old  Stevenson has filed a lawsuit saying she was body-slammed and arrested by a security guard and Fort Worth police in March while volunteering at a T.D. Jakes Ministries church. Audrey Stevenson, says in the suit that she began volunteering at Potter’s House at 1270 Woodhaven Blvd. in March 2017. In March 2018, a security guard threw her to the floor and Fort Worth police handcuffed her during a dispute with employees, she says.. T.D. Jakes Ministries and Potter’s House in Fort Worth and Dallas did not respond to requests for comment. However, both issued statements on Facebook shortly after the incident. Sex trafficking is composed of two aspects: sexual slavery and human trafficking. These two aspects represent the supply and demand side of the sex trafficking industry, respectively. This exploitation is based on the interaction between the trafficker selling a victim (the individual being trafficked and sexually exploited) to customers to perform sexual services. These sex trafficking crimes are defined by three steps: acquisition, movement, and exploitation. The various types of sex trafficking are child sex tourism (CST), domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST) or commercial sexual exploitation of children, and prostitution.

Online congregation one of the many shields for white supremacy and white nationalist Billy Graham’s son, Franklin Graham, who had the nerve to say that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s abuse allegation against Brett Kavanaugh is irrelevant: “Sexual abuse claims not relevant ...they were teenagers. She said ‘no’ and he respected it.’”  I wonder if the 15-year-old in this case was this racist daughter would he still feel this way? If the account is true, he didn’t respect her “no” she escaped. Online congregation this is wrong on so many levels. To deny a child loving parents while they languish in temporary homes is unconscionable. The GOP has become the party of Hatred, Bigotry, and Misogyny - their policies are indefensible, designed to denigrate, impoverish, and oppress anyone who isn’t a straight white male and rich. I cannot fathom how anyone who claims to be an American or a Christian can support their platform of hypocrisy and inhumanity. They are destroying democracy and leading this country into fascism - it will take years for this country to recover from the damage they are inflicting. The House Appropriations Committee in July passed an amendment allowing taxpayer-funded adoption agencies to deny LGBTQ families the ability to adopt a child based on religious objection.

Online congregation I've mentioned in this space maybe two months ago about the situation that has arisen within the Titus Harvest Dome Spectrum Church. A Duval County Court documents show April Washington has filed a complaint against Broderick Pettaway and Faye Refour for the unlawful removal of her position on behalf of Titus Harvest Dome Spectrum Church. It has been more than a year since Pastor Rodney Washington died after a fight with cancer. April Washington is in a legal battle to regain her rights to the church; she has been ousted. After his death, it was reported several members on the Board of Trustees tried to take power from his widow, April. ( You Can Read It Here) April and her husband, notable Pastor R.J. Washington started the church in Jacksonville more than 20 years ago. She claims fellow members started scheming against her days after her husband’s death.

Online congregation although I really can't say that I know exactly what Bishop Hines was being charged with which had caused him to be brought up before the General Board. But whatever the charged were he has proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's not guilty of said charges. Someone had commented in this space that those were trumped up charges and that the General  Board knew it, and they were trying to get Bishop Hines name muddy up so that he would be kicked-off the General Board, so he couldn't become the next presiding bishop. Online congregation I don't buy into the conspiracy theories at all.  I found the below post on the COGIC Facebook page which caught my attention, I know the page administrator doesn't know it's there and will remove it as soon as they do see it. I don't know why do people like this young lady believe this super foolishness. In defending the post she said that she's convinced the most sleep folks on this planet are the saints of God. We have this thing called a constitution that is upheld pretty good. She said that the text says a coup will occur which will cancel-out the Constitution. According to her Presidents are puppets (Trump, Obama, Clinton, Bush). America is mentioned in Rev. 17:10 and chapter. 18. America is a controlled country. Fake Jews control America. They're the people Jesus Christ mentioned in Rev. 2:9:/3:9. There can be a coup because they control this country.

Good morning online congregation does certain sin disqualify someone from leadership? What do Christians do when they learn the person they trusted to teach them about God actually is a predator?  What if the faith leader we've admired all our life turns out to be more a scoundrel than saint? Do we stop supporting them?  I agree there is no church leader who's perfect, I do believe certain sin can disqualify a leader, Moses is a good example. Moses had seriously disobeyed God and was told he would not be allowed to enter Canaan. Yet, he pleaded with God to change His mind and allow Him to cross the Jordan River and enter the promised land. God refused in order to teach that sin by a spiritual leader has very serious consequences and will bring a stricter judgment. Spiritual leaders of God's people can disqualify themselves from certain areas of ministry if they seriously fail to be examples of obedience.

Online congregation it's hard for me to understand how one can unbelieve in God.  I was raised in a Baptist family and most Baptists believe that the Bible is the literal, infallible word of God, and that God is who the Bible says HE is.  The dominant understandings of God in our world today are rooted in the three monotheistic Abrahamic faiths. Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It's when we step out of that space into something different and notice how other people live (sometimes to survive without weekly study or worship) - how others relate to God in the big world. It's eye opening and thought provoking.

Good morning online congregation in my humble opinion, racism in this country would be no more  if we had more white pastors who had the courage to say to their congregations what this pastor just said. I don't think his choir was feeling the message at all, but sometime the truth makes you feel uncomfortable.  It is so encouraging to know that there are some white pastors who are not blind to systematic oppression to people of color. I'm praying that God will forever bless Pastor George Mason and I pray for his safety and strength. Good morning online congregation it’s very sad that Christian conduct is something seldom taught within the four walls of the church....and we wonder why so many are out of order. We hear over and over again that you gotta live right...that you gotta be holy...but what does that look like? What exactly does holiness looks like?  What does that entail? What else can you tell me besides don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t have sex outside of marriage??? What is Christ’s instructions on how to live a holy life? Just my thoughts!

My friend has two bridesmaid that are Muslim that will be in the wedding. Someone told them they should remove their hijab during the service since their at a Christian wedding. My friend don't want them to remove anything because that's their culture , but a fellow Muslim told them they should because their in a Christian ceremony. My friend or me don't really understand the Muslim culture that well so can a fellow Muslim or someone who really knows clarify why women should remove their hijab in a Christian setting because I never heard that before. Gender equality is achieved when women and men enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and when the different behaviors, aspirations and needs of women and men are equally valued and favored. We can have equality of rights and responsibilities, but can we embrace equality of roles without stripping each gender of their  uniqueness? Today September 17 Pastor A.R. This past Thursday and Friday night Larry D Reid Live did a two part show about church folks in general.....and how they have children outside of their marriage, that they don't accept, own, admit to, or recognize.  Are children that are born outside of the marriage bed the same as children born in the marriage? Do they get treated the same? Online congregation, okay so what are you all thoughts on this clip?  Have any of you ever felt pressured growing up to pray, speak in tongues, "catch the Holy Spirit" or fall out?  I'm not talking about the kids praying in the clip necessarily, because I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that per-say. But check out the little boy on the side who kept peeking to see if it was over. It felt odd for me growing up in the old church whenever people would scream, run, jump, etc. It always made me feel like I wasn’t getting the message or missing the Holy Spirit because I never felt compelled to holler, run the aisles. Again for me the pressured feeling came based on observing others. Thinking back in my mind the other kids my  age didn’t typically run, scream, holler, either.  Anyhow, this young child is praying for his friend who has been bullied in school. 

Good morning online congregation, for the life of me, I just don't know how ANYONE can read Scripture and ascribe to this foolishness. There is a practice in some churches where people go up to the altar and lay money at the pastor's feet during the sermon, but in all honesty,  I've never seen it done for a pastor birthday.  The controversial practice has become popular in many African-American churches and a few Caucasian churches as well. I'm guessing maybe the 2019 Black Suburban the church bought the prophet for his birthday just wasn't enough, he had to collect a love offering as well.

Good morning online congregation, I was thinking to my self after reading the article, wonder how Bishop Jakes, daughter and son-in-law felt when they read that the "people bishop" believes many pastors today are focused more on preaching and being seen than they are on bringing people to Jesus? I agree, it do seems like pastors today are neglecting soul winning which is the heartbeat of God. Online congregation bad news for fans of the once great Praise and Worship Leader Israel Houghton.  It's being reported that the six-time GRAMMY® winning chart topper was planning a kick off tour in support of his upcoming album The Road to " DeMaskUs." The twelve-city tour was to begin in Chicago, IL beginning Thursday September 27th, has been cancelled, along with all other dates.
