Special Announcement Pastor John Gray To Take Over Redemption Greenville Church Says Pastor Ron Carpenter!

Reader the pastor of Redemption Church in Greenville made a special announcement to his congregation today, that Pastor John Gray would be taking over Redemption Church this coming May.  Pastor Ron Carpenter Jr., the founder and senior pastor of Redemption Greenville, located near Haywood Road, made the announcement during the center's second service, which begins at 11 a.m. Rumor is that he's going to Bethel which is in Northern California.

Carpenter founded Redemption "in 1991 with three members and a passion for breaking down the walls of racism, crossing cultural lines, and changing poverty mindsets in their community as well as around the world," Redemption's website said. It's grown into a large multicultural church with satellite campuses across the world. The church made headlines in September after Hope Carpenter, co-founder and pastor at Redemption, faced backlash over comments she posted on Facebook speaking out against those who've chosen to kneel during the national anthem.

Ron Carpenter issued an apology on Facebook and from the pulpit regarding the comments made by his wife.  In his apology, Carpenter said his wife was very emotional in the aftermath of the comment. Carpenter said he and his wife "woefully underestimated how racially insensitive" the comments may have been to anyone who feels disenfranchised.

  8. WELP......Not a fan of Ron or his racist wife. Can't help but wonder if he now believes he was successful in tearing down those racial walls in light of what his wife believes about blacks???

So basically it seems to me like John is coming in to clean up the Carpenters' mess.
