Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Are People Poor Because They're Lazy? Almost Half Of White Christians In America Seems To Think So.

Good Saturday morning everyone, no real surprises here. Some white evangelical Christians in the US can't stand the poor. They blame them not for their own poverty and all the general ills of society. They choose to ignore the words of Jesus himself--"whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, that you do unto me."

Jesus would be ashamed at the so called Christians in the USA today. Jesus preached we should help the poor, the sick, the criminals and those different than us. Today Christians have no compassion to help others. They look down on the poor and look down on minorities. The Christians in the USA support greedy, corrupt businessmen who never have enough material wealth.
Jesus may have lived as a poor man and consistently been on the side of those with little material wealth, but a poll shows almost half of the Christians in the United States believe people who live in poverty do so because they’re lazy.

Indeed, Christians, particularly white evangelicals, are much more likely than non-Christians to associate a lack of wealth with a lack of effort, according to a poll from The Washington Post and the Kaiser Family Foundation published Thursday. The survey, conducted between April 13 and May 1 with a sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points, indicated that 46 percent of Christians believed that a lack of effort is generally to blame for a person’s poverty, compared with 29 percent of non-Christians.

  1. 1. Some are poor because they are lazy -

"Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, [and] thou shalt be satisfied with bread." Proverbs 20:13

    2. Some are poor because of "RICH people's RULE in THEIR own conceit".

"The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower [is] servant to the lender." Proverbs 22:7

"The rich man [is] wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out." Proverbs 28:11

The rich will usurp a dominion over them, and exercises it in a rigorous, oppressive, and tyrannical manner.

I BELIEVE this is the main reason many are POOR! The devil use so many of HIS RICH FAMED AND FORTUNED people TO KEEP people in SERVITUDE! I wonder WHY the survey did not slant to ASK a question along this line. We got to be careful whose behind all these MAGAZINE and NEWS stories and SURVEYS (rich white NEOCONS). Satan always throws his ROCKS, and HIDE his hands.

    3. Some are poor BECAUSE they are being made "merchandise" of.

"And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." 2 Peter 2:3

JAKES and DUPLANTIS and COPELAND and JUANITA and OLE GIRL SHIRLEY, et al.

These are just a few BIBLICAL examples. No need to exaggerated this SO called survey / pool to talk about white folks, because many of them are POOR just like BLACK people. People (BLACK and WHITE) need to READ GOD's WORD and see what HE HAS to SAY about ANY MATTER!

"He must increase, I must decrease".

    1. Hmmm, I wonder how readers would feel about people making fun of the bastion of the Black kitchen...soul food. How would people feel if they met a certain individual who derided and scoffed at the very foods that have nourished us for hundreds of years?

Them greens you scoff at, have sustained our bodies for hundreds of years! Sweet potatoes (known to some country folk as "sweet taters").

You can have your pumpkin pie and I'll enjoy my tata pie (as you mock it). Tata pie is more nutritious than pumpkin pie anyway!

      Enjoy your white food Bruh.

    2. And Bruh, after reading your response to the lady about Shirley Caesar on a different topic.. I will suggest you try recipes for sweet tater pie, nana pudding, greens and Conebread.

    3. YOU are a MORON! I never made fun of "SOUL FOOD". Even a 1st GRADER would understand my dialogue with you before, that my comments were directed against the coonin' (remember Ann, this individual first brought in this term to talk about me, as well as making reference to my "Uncle Tom, and even my GRANDAUGHTER) "Ole Girl" BISHOP Shirley who slap jack about beans and tatas and grits and pig feet and snoots etc.

And I tell YOU the same as I with did the other TROLL...

Shirley is NO BISHOP, because only a MAN CAN desire the OFFICE.

The more you respect this woman, THE LESS YOU RESPECT GOD. YOU and Shirley should STOP making a MOCKERY of Him!

PS Ms. Ann. YOU said in one post commenters should respond to the TOPIC. Note, I responded to the TOPIC and made biblical reverence to "laziness and the white evangelical". This individual injected his foolishness to want to talk about something TOTALLY off the SUBJECT. He really never contributes nothing HERE, but to respond in his own PRIDE he care so much about Black Culture. Yet both of his Responses REMAIN TO stay. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Mow if he wants to continue this trend per this THREAD, NO PROBLEM with me. Cause I can go ALL DAY, EVERYDAY until this TROOL is BURIED six feet DEEP!

"Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel." John 1:49

  2. I don't see how anyone can deny that some people are poor because of laziness. If you want to get out of poverty it takes work. I have seen this is my own family. My father's family didn't want better for themselves and they were satisfied living in poverty. My father wanted better for himself because he didn't want to raise his family in the projects and he worked hard and I was raised in a middle class neighborhood because of this my father family became jealous and accused him of thinking he was better than them.

  3. Yes you should help the poor but the poor also have to want better for themselves and help themselves. I works both ways.

  4. Miss Ann,

There are different circumstances that lead people to be poor. But we cannot say that they are lazy. Most are willing to work and need a helping hand.

The problem we have is the prosperity gospel that has been circulating for over 50 years and people actually believe that wealth = God's blessings. But that is not the case.

There are some "rich Christians" who make money off of the poor by pretending to set up charities and only an eighth of the money ends up supporting pre-selected poor people who become their "poster child" for the next "USD 5,000.00 a plate" fundraiser.

Some of the pastors and bishops literally run ponzi schemes and have no shame of standing at the pulpit declaring, "look what the Lord has done!" While others would rather use the church money to buy the latest cars including private jets (claiming that flying commercial delays in their quest to accomplish work of the Lord). And in all this they claim to be blessed. They sure are reading bits of scripture to justify their greed!

The bible says the poor will always be with us (Deuteronomy 15:11, Mark 14:7). That's how society is set up. And as believers it is our duty to reach out and provide a helping hand.

"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." (Matthew 19:21)

"He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; abd that which he hath given will he pay him again." (Proverbs 19:17)

For those who have falsely believed that wealth is everything, well... "They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches: None of them can by any means redeem his brother... Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names... Be not afraid when one is made rich... For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away... Man that is in honor and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish." (Psalm 49:6-20). One can read the whole chapter for context.

Our understanding is derived from heeding to the precepts of God (Psalms 19 & 119).

  5. So, Are The Working Poor Lazy Too? Yeshua, Said, "You Will Always Have The Poor With You". A Job Is A Provision From God. Not Everyone That Is Rich Is Greedy And Selfish. Not Everyone That Is Poor Is Lazy And Wants To Be Poor. Don't Generalize And Take The Word Of God Out Of Context To Make Your Opinion Sound Righteous. God's Word Is Not Man's Opinions. Shalom

    1. Since you have posted here, you have not cited ONE VERSE in context. You have only stated yiur opinion and blew hot air about yiur credentials. You have the spirit of the Pharisee.

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness." MATTHEW 23:27

    2. Since You Are So Knowledge Of The Word Of God, You Should Know The Scriptures. But,I'll Just Chalk It Up To You Missing Bible Study. Matthew 26:6-11; Luke 14:7-21. The Scriptures Are From The Word Of God To Back Up My Comment. You Don't Know How To Stay On Topic, Do You? Woe To You, You Pharisees. Shalom

    3. Stay On Topic. You Wander Off Into Self Righteous Tangents With A Prideful Spirit. Learn To Agree To Disagree. Shalom

    4. Not a matter of staying of TOPIC. More of a matter of giving a reply to your response. Don't let your pride and arrogance cause you to be dumb and blind you can't seem to follow a simple dialogue.

LET Me CLEAR up YOU INNATE confusion.

      YOU ADVISED -

"Don't Generalize And Take The Word Of God Out Of Context To Make Your Opinion Sound Righteous. God's Word Is Not Man's Opinions. Shalom"

      To which I replied -

"Since you have posted here, you have not cited ONE VERSE in context. You have only stated your opinion and blew hot air about your credentials. You have the spirit of the Pharisee."

And YOU her now are advising (OFF TOPIC mind YOU) for me to "STAY on TOPIC as I wonder into self righteous tangents (Whatever that means).

YOU my friend, are a PIECE Of WORK. No need to exaggerate / fabricate a situation that's not there. Again, YOU made a response to which I replied to a response YOU MADE!

He must increase, YOU my friend, must decrease!

    1. I read your comment. All you said was 'I wonder how many people will use Bible verses to agree or disagree with the topic.' But you offered no Scriptures yourself. You basically added nothing to help anybody.

    2. Amen "Different Anonymous" Keep speaking the truth. A lot of my comments get DELETED as well.

    3. Yeah Anonymous "I read your comment". It was me. You are right. I did not contribute anything to that post. My intent was to make a point, most people here only give their opinion. Usually when I address with a response, I try to comment on the subject matter with Biblical support on the topic. Just like here the first response, I cited some Scriptures about the poor, and gave some practical ideals for living.

  7. (I'm a different Anonymous) Sorry, you're talking about the "other" Anonymous. My comment, YESTERDAY, (which was deleted), was about Black young men/women from the hood/projects, or anyone else for that matter, getting off their "BUTT" (not living off the government) and getting a job instead of wasting their time with this stupid RAP or Basketball (unless they are extremely talented). My example was my younger sister who has a 17 year old son, who is lazy and just want to play basketball all the time. That was my comment that was deleted. So, you are addressing the wrong person? Unless......???

    1. Oh...! I remember THAT comment and I AGREE with you. I made a similar comment a long time ago about how people should stop worrying about a few racist cops when Black-on-Black crime is much worse. I said that until I can walk down the street in the hood and NOT have to worry about getting robbed or murdered, THEN we can talk about racist cops.

Ms Ann popped up and threatened to delete my comment. She had to assume I was white. But I'm Black and the hundreds of murders in places like Chicago are being committed by...(drum roll) BLACK PEOPLE.

The truth hurts. A few racist cops aren't the problem. The problem is other black men growing up without fathers.

BTW, only the person who can delete comments here is Ms Ann. On other blogs, if a lot of members report a comment then it gets deleted. But this blog is "administrator-moderated." It's not community moderated (which means readers can delete comments).
