Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Jesus Take The Wheel: They're dancing to "THE STORY OF OJ" from JAY Z's 4:44 album....in church!

Reader you know, I have to say this, I am convinced that many so called Christian church folks have literally lost their dang minds. Is there nothing left to distinguish between what is appropriate in the church versus the nightclubs? Can you all please stop calling what many of you all are doing, praise dancing? Who the heck are you praising by dancing to Jay-Z's song in the freaking church. The minister of music needs to be sat down...Promptly!!! Church is just like the world...smh. What do yall think?

  1. They don't care Ms. Ann. It's all about what the popular sound is and in thinking one can merge that "sound" and try to make it holy. It's a joke. That tune has already been implanted if you will in the mind as Jay-Z or that drum-line from Drake's (Hot-line Bling)... They think if you throw some Jesus in it, it's all good. Nope...

Ann I am so disturbed. All I heard was gasped. As a minister of the Gospel I am disturbed. As a leader in the church I need heads to roll. The sound man should have said something. The praise dancer leader will let go. Head Deacon will get a lashing from me. Pastor will be let go. I will assume pastor roles and sit the girls down with parents and share with that is not ok and all music will be approved before dancing again if they ever. As a former praise dancer I will address what is a praise dancer and what should a praise dance represent.

  2. Miss Ann,

We've just had a debate on Miss Cobbs. I and other believers commenting on the blog were deemed to be negative. Can't have anything positive to say.

And now this. It doesn't surprise us who were like the voice in the desert (Isaiah 40:3). Because that's all we were. And this generation is not interested in sanctification through the WORD of God (John 17:17). They want instant gratification of flesh (Romans 7:25) and that which is popular (Luke 16:14-16). This lot has itching ears (2 Timothy 4:4) and are foolish (Galatians 3:1)!

They that have something POSITIVE to say, do say on.

    2. If it would not affect your salvation, what would motivate people to do better. If I can do whatever in a worship service and think that God is ok with it, what are the parameters on what I do. I saw this past weekend where a church was holding service naked. Would that be ok, if they were saved? Would God accept this in service, if they are saved? Would this be accepted and you still be able to be saved and inherit eternal life?

I only ask these questions because you should not be suprised when a church allows Jay-Z or any other secular artists music to be playes, there is no consequence to their actions, or is it?

Salvation can be lost if you do not worship God according to his will.

Leviticus 10:1-3 - 10 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not. 2 And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. 3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

Remember Nadab and Abihu were from the chosen people of Israel (basically they were saved) and not only that they were from the Levitical priesthood and sons of Aaron but they still persished when they did not worship God according to his will.

    4. Hi Ms. Ann. Sorry to bud in, but I gotta put this in real quick, haha. One is Matt 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. And the second is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. I feel for comedians. smh. Just saying. Matt 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

      Delete
    5. Timezone so you are saying that a saved person can blasphemy against The Holy Spirit? If so how?

      Delete
    6. Hi Ms Ann. As the old-school gospel song says, we have to ask the Lord to "Order my steps in your Word." We all sin and make mistakes, but I was just saying in general that's what the Word says to every human soul. Now as far as a saved person committing blasphemy? I'd hope not, lol. Can a person that says they're saved, get this off base? hmmmmmm..... Well, here's the thing, just in every day language, we all need to watch what flies out of our mouth. These dumb R-rated movies that I don't watch, takes the precious name of Jesus and says Jesus' name like it's nothing and then they have the audacity to say the F-Word right in behind it. smh. Personally I believe this is blasphemy. That's my humble belief. I know that may ruffle some feathers, but if the shoe fits, I hope they don't wear it, lol. Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Let me get back on subject, haha. Back to a saved person. I believe if that saved individual has ask the Holy Spirit within their spirit to dwell, no such thing will come out of them. Now the question that should be ask is, FORGIVENESS. That's huge!!! haha. That one word is really something else that we all need to be careful on and I'm talking to myself too. Somebody does you wrong, can we forgive them? Or is someone does something to your father, mother or children.. Whoa... That's big time there. Can we forgive them? We have too.

    7. I don't see a true believer, whose salvation is eternally secure in Christ, still be guilty of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. I think the meaning of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit as Some scholars says is a willful, determined opposition to the present power of the Holy Spirit. And Christians cannot commit that kind of sin. They don’t settle in like that with a settled, determined, willful opposition.

Christians can commit all kinds of sin, but what marks a Christian is they don’t settle in long term. They hate it and they repent from it. They feel bad about it. They turn to God for fresh forgiveness. So no Timezone I agree a Christian cannot commit what Jesus calls blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

    8. @ "why not do whatever you want in church",

It is because you have been justified by his blood and that his grace might reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5).

If we have received this salvation and have known God, why would we turn back to beggarly elements and back to the bondage from whence we were set free? (Galatians 4:9)

Our God implores us not to learn the ways of the heathen (Jeremiah 10:24) and he requires us to destroy all that is contrary to our faith (Deuteronomy 12). Paul goes a step further and implores us to avoid those who walk contrary to the faith (Romans 16:17-18),and Jude advises us not to be contaminated by the garment that touches such a kind (Jude 23).

If the angels of the Most High God lost their first estate through pride (Jude 6); who are you (mortal man) to think that you can't lose your faith except that you constantly examine yourself? (2 Corinthians 13:5)

Refer to Matthew 13 (Parables of the shower, and the wheat and tares).

    9. Debate blasphemy of the Holy Spirit if you wish...
As Timezone said and to paraphrase a bit, you CAN grieve the Holy Spirit with you speech. In that grieving of the Holy Spirit, the spirit will leave. I value the presence of the Holy Spirit, so I try my best not to grieve it with my speech.
Also, I find it hard to believe any anointing or Holy Spirit was present with the lyrics of that song playing in church while the kids were dancing.
If you use the "throw some Jesus" reasoning on it, then it sounds like one could be allowed to listen to any rap music regardless of content and just say/think Jesus and it's ok. And for those who say this us the way to reach the youth, you're giving your authority as a believer/parent/role model away. That "do what they do" to reach them logic is dangerous. So if they're cutting themselves, smoking weed, rubbing their chests with bleach, then we have to do that to reach them. Ok....
God doesn't say " do whatever you want, I'll cover it" neither should we. Actions have consequences. And besides,if playing regular rap in youth church was actually effective, then youth church would be packed. Or maybe not because the kids would just listen where they already listen... outside of church.

  4. I don't see anything wrong here. This is what's needed to get our youth involved. They are our future church, and if we are going to reach them we got to meet them where there are. As long as they are within a positive enviornment, God bless them. And for any who would bash them, I say like "justsayin'", pray for the LOST. CAN I get all of you here to JOIN me TO pray for the LOST? LOL...

You see the "kingdom" is about -

      1. RIGHTEOUSNESS - Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

      2. PEACE - John 18:36 - Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

      3. THE Spirit's DWELLING - Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

      4. PREACHING and TEACHING about the LORD JESUS CHRIST - Acts 28:31 - Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

      5. JOY - Romans 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

It never cease TO AMAZE ME, folks like would bedazzle so many into believing the KINGDOM is about success, empowerment, hospitals, money, favor and popularity. HOW FAR from the TRUTH, The WORD of the LORD.

    5. Ok Ms. Dot. I hear you. But you did imply a difference between Christianity and the WORD of God. let me remind you - YOU said "Most Of You Have Been Taught "Christianity" And Not The Word Of God." Slow down, now, and Don't get confused.

So don't distinguish Christianity and the WORD of God because there is a direct and unseparable tie between the two.

NOTE they were first called Christians at ANTICOH -

“And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Acts 11:26

And the REASON why they were called Christians the very first verse of the Chapter and verses late-

"And the apostles and brethren that were in Judaea heard that the Gentiles had also received the WORD OF GOD."

"When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord." Acts 11:18-21

      They
      1) HEARD THESE THINGS (the Word of the LORD)
      2) They preaching the WORD to none but unto the Jews only
      3) The spake unto the Grecians, PREACHING the Lord Jesus

I'm still trying to feel you out on your use of the WORD Kingdom when you said "You Cannot Walk In The Kingdom Of God And Still Have Your Feet Planted In The World"." I sure hope you are not using "kingdom" as some of these false prophets.

Also you used a lot of "I's" in your speech. Remember he must increase, WE must decrease, ok.

You Should Study The Word Of God More Thoroughly. Christianity Is Not Equal To The Word Of God, Nor Is The Word Of God. Where Is Your Comprehension Of The Word Of God Coming From? 9. Hold up. You are all over the place.

    1. Correct, the kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU. I'M glad you fid not reference the kingdom as the like of so many false teachers.

    2. There are three reference to the term "Christian" in the Bible, and the word WAS NOT used by non believers in all cases. I stated the first use in Acts 11:26 in my earlier post. Agrippa told Paul, almost you persuaded me to become a CHRISTIAN. And the fact that Agrippa used the word after hearing Paul's powerful testimony, is not to note a bad connotation behind the word. And the last reference in I PETER 4:16
"YET if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed is NOT A DEROGATORY statement.

    3. And for you to say, "when you have understanding you have knowledge" is a little strange to me. This is not a principle you will find in scriptures. Moreso "Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof [is] brutish."

    4. NOTHING Wrong with having a "CHRISTIAN" MINDSET. LOOK AT the three verses mentioned.

    5. Again, you use too many "I's", unnecessary. He MUST INCREASE, YOU MUST DECREASE!

This Might Helpful For You When Studying The Word Of God. You Must Know Who Is Speaking, Who Is Being Spoken To,The Time,The Customs,The Culture, The Laws,The Language,The Translation,The Meaning Of Key Words,Whether It Is Literal,Metaphoric,Symbolic. All this other custom culture language translation meaning of key word you cite is simply a smoke screen you use to hide in your own pride. AGAIN one simple verse to dispell the lie, the word "Christian" was used by non-Christians, derogatory in meaning.
