More Americans Say That You Can Be Good Without God?

Image
Reader for the first time, a majority of Americans — 56 percent — say it is possible to be a good person without a religious belief. So says new Pew Research Center data drawn from two polls conducted among about 5,000 American adults in June and July. “God is not a prerequisite for good values and morality,” Greg Smith, Pew’s associate director of research, said in a post about the findings. ” … [T]he public’s increased rejection of the idea that belief in God is necessary for morality is due, in large part, to the spike in the share of Americans who are religious ‘nones.

Is Conference Pricing Out of Control?

Reader can some of these so called Christian conferences be over priced to the point that the group of people who needs to be ministered to at these thing can't even afford to attend? It seems that conferences are the new church phenomenon and niche, everyone wants to do it. Someone was complaining about the conference pricing and posted the below comment under the flyer.

It is so expense, it would be nice if it was made so hurting people could attend.

  2. Miss Ann,

As always it's about the $$$. The celebrities featured need to get paid and those who can afford to go to this conference, have to have the right attire (including the T-shirts on sale).

This isn't about Christ Jesus. It is about the treasures of the heart. Just wait to listen what comes out of their mouths; the speakers and singers. (Hint: Miss Tina might talk about her husband's infidelity and how she almost committed murder. Surely she doesn't know nothing about being discreet [Titus 2:5]).

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." (Luke 6:45)

  3. I would not go to this event if it was in my back yard for FREE!

These women will not hint an ounce Woman's Experience of the Proverbs 31 or TITUS 2 woman.

    1. @ anonymous,

Wouldn't you want to see them getting into formation? (Each day has a designated outfit/wardrobe).

  5. I personally think they can charge 10 grand if the market can bear it. The beauty of the Gospel is Bibles are cheap, and its free top talk to God. So people should not cry about these matters. Many of these conferences are a hustle anyway using Non Profit Status and using Church Members as free labour for a private enterprise.
