Can A Husband Rape His Wife? - Pastors Divided On The Issue.

Reader, good Thursday morning to everyone, I 'm praying everyone reading this post will have a wonderful and awesome day in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Like I have said in this space many of times.....we who hold up the blood bought banner of Christ can make the Bible along with the Apostle Paul, say and support just about anything we want them to.  Some clergies are saying that the Bible teach that a husband can actually RAPE his own wife by using First Corinthians 7: 2-5 as justification.

The issue of rape within the confines of marriage is a tricky and controversial one, and has been a subject of many debates. The question as to whether a wife can be violated by her spouse has some Jamaica clergy members having mixed views on the issue.

Presently, Jamaica does not recognize rape within a marriage unless the parties are separated. Reverend Rennard White, who has been married for some 45 years, said that based on the context of marriage, forced sex is not quite rape. "If they [a married couple] are cohabiting, [forced sex] would have to be something else, such as violence or abuse. I don't think it should be called rape, honestly. To make it rape, for me, it's stretching it a little bit, no pun intended," White said.  White pointed to First Corinthians 7, which says that the body of the wife does not belong to herself alone, but also to the husband, and vice versa.

  1. Here the LORD speaks (I Cor. 7:2-5)-

2Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

  2. This Anon is male. Of course any unwanted sexual act is rape. married or not. The sticky issues is this: Some trifling women will now have a new weapon in the arsenal to use against husbands in the court of law. Lets face it, in what is traditionally described as rape, there is always the element of, "He had no business being in my space.". When one is married.......hmmmmm. We grown folk, but I won't go there.

  3. WHY is this even a debate?!?!
    Among clergy 😳No less.

rape Is an assault on your wife,
    It's a CRIME!!!

It's NOT LOVE if you FORCE HER to show affection?

Rapping your wife is NOT normal behavior (even when your not saved)
