Jesus Take The Wheel: Pastor Escorted Out Of Detroit World Outreach Church By Police!

Reader, good morning I'm praying everyone has a marvelous Monday on today let's make it great in Jesus name. Now let's talk about the foolishness of some of these churches, Lord knows in heaven we have got to do better. I read the article and the post her son made. God does not deal in a mess. They could have done this better I don't care how many statements they put out. To handcuff her in front of the congregation and her children watching was distasteful. What a man soweth, that Shall he Reap.

Someone on social media says that they remember when Dr. Riva Tims' ministry built by her and former husband Zack Tim's was taken by Paula White. We remember not too long ago happened with Apostle Betty Peebles' family not long after she passed and the board chose Dr. Jazz but the courts decided it was illegal and Apostle Peebles son was the right successor.

Like stated I have read the letter and heard a few statements on both sides. What I do believe is the widows of these men need to be handled differently and for her to be arrested in service to was not the way. It has only been a little over a month. The church is still grieving.

  2. This is a mess and nobody wins!! Whatever is going on they need to handle it behind closed doors and not on the social media. It's interesting that this lady keeps going to this church each and recording herself being asked to leave and arrested. This is terrible. The world is laughing at us.

    1. Right on Joshua, some Christians!!! And "Christians" wonder why there are so many lost souls, out here. First y'all make people feel unwanted, people are looking for a soul feeding and y'all "Christians" don't even greet, we only see funny looking ugly faces turned up, "Christians" will judge you before you walk in the door!! Now this story is the pastor wife being arrested, for whatever reason during service is absolutely ridiculous!! And the police could have waited until service ended, they heathens too! Thank God I'm not a lost soul, if I was, smh!

  3. From what I understand it only got posted on social media because somebody recorded it and posted it but I don't see anything being "handled on social media" unless they're was something I missed. The issue as far as I can see isn't blowing up because of what happened on social media but because of what happened OFF social media. It's only here because everything ends up here. But this really is a mess. It's confusing to me and I just don't understand why they felt like it was okay to handle in this way.

    1. This is what happened to Riva Tim's, This needs to be worked out! I don't know all the details, but she's in mourning for the lost of the Bishop/her husband of the church back in February. She feels that she's next in line to lead the church, the Elders do not!!!.....What a big mess for power and control/or rightfully gained power/position. This conflict and thee constant arrest of her every time she come on the property is definitely taking THE WORD OF GOD AWAY FROM HIS PEOPLE.............I pray they work that out, tears..................As such a time as this.~ ESTHER 4:14

Shameful.... She's a member. Deacons are something serious... They don't want her as Senior Pastor just say that... But this could be a lawsuit because she's not trespassing.... Her membership is there... Just wow!!

  6. Ms.Ann I was there, this is DISGUSTING! The bishop dies, his wife assume pastoral leadership, the elders resisted, called the police on her last Sunday, and then called this past Sunday again and had her arrested for "trespassing " this is a woman who gave her husband to this church for 12 years, served with him for 12 years as a pastor, arrested on Sunday for being in the service, sad.

  7. I love DWO church. Her husband was a great pastor. He was so positive and honest. It beyond sad that it have come to this. I dont agree with this type of discourse in the church so openly. She was the first lady but not the head pastor. She is a great woman of God and could lead a church but if you were not elected by the elders then form your own. Your battle with the elders shouldn't over take the service. Its out of order and messy.

  8. I am going to ride the fence on this.

To escort her out in handcuffs was a bit much, and the elders in the church don't seem to have any empathy for this recently widowed woman. I am sure she is still a Christian and a member of the church.

    HOWEVER!!!
The practice of the church pastors wife or son taking over the church after they die has got to stop. Churches shouldn't be run like a privately owned business you can just HAND DOWN to your next of ken.

Theses pastors and staff need to be training someone NOT RELATED to them to help led the church. Because any promotion or favoritism could be viewed as a conflict of interest.
(Ex: You only became co-pastor because you're married to the pastor)

    1. Cop I agree, just a little information about church government, Pastors, and there wives do not own, or run the church. The job of the Pastor is to preach the word of God. Elders, and some deacons actually run the church. The problem is these modern day church's have become the family business, and when something happens there is an illegal struggle to take over the church from the legal leadership.

    2. I'm going to mess up a few things also. I'm still trying to figure out am I crazy or is this verse not looked at anymore? Is this null and void if there are no men around?
I'm just asking? Or is this a new day? hmmmmm...Titus 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

    3. Just another problem that needs to be addressed will dealing with theses issues. 🙄

    4. Shame on them!!

  9. Not really sure of what happened but if she was asked to leave by the leadership and refused that is trespassing. You can't refuse to leave just because you were married to the pastor. She brought this onto herself when all she had to do was leave.

  10. Not sure who made up this rule that once the pastor dies the wife automatically takes over the church but that is not how it works. The church is not a family business and the elders, deacons or board of trustees are responsible for the hiring and firing of pastors.

Folks, this is why Pastors need to set their house in order. My dear friend the richest Bishop and my prophet in Nigeria Bishop Oyedepo worth over $400M had to set his entire ministry and house straight too because when his father in the Lord died Archbishop Benson Idahosa imagine there was also a debate on whom to take over their ministries but for God's intervention. I have learnt myself.

This is wickedness done to this WOG and funny thing is ambitious people run things down and destroy what grace, anointing and labor in Word with good character build for years. Am mad right here reading this.

  12. I used to listen to Bishop Gibert on the Imapct Network and enjoyed his teaching every day. I am sadden for his widow, but maybe she needs to move on and start her own ministry just like Riva Tims, who is doing wonderfully at her church.

    1. I just read the statement linked from the blog posting. The whole situation started because there was no succession plan when Bishop Gibert passed away. African-American and multiracial churches need legally determined succession plans in case the pastor retires and/or dies. The church SHOULD NOT go to family members; instead, a search committee should be set up and interview possible candidates. All of this could have been avoided if a little due diligence was practiced at DWO.

  13. THIS PROBLEM IS GETTING OUT OF HAND IN CHURCHES. GOD'S HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER AND PRAISE AND WORSHIP.NOT THE DEN OF THIEVES AND CONFUSION. JUST BECAUSE HER HUSBAND WAS THE PASTOR.THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT SHE SHOULD BE NEXT IN LINE FOR PASTORAL LEADERSHIP. THE CHURCH ISN'T A BANK NOR ANY OTHER FINANCIAL SERVICES OR INSTITUTIONS FOR THE FAMILY. THE CHURCH WASN'T HER FAMILY BUISNESS. WAS SHE CALLED BY GOD TO PASTOR OR JUST THINK SHE IS JUST BECAUSE SHE IS A PASTOR'S WIFE. IF THE PEOPLE'S DON'T WANT HER AS THE PASTOR WHY IS SHE FIGHTING THEM.THE PEOPLE'S WILL LEAVE AND THEN WHO WILL PAY THE BILLS OF THE CHURCH.SHE IS MAKING A FOOL OUT OF HERSELF SHE THINKS THAT SHE IS IRREPLACEABLE SHE IS.THIS ISN'T ABOUT MINISTRY THIS IS ABOUT MONEY AND POWER AND STATUS.SHE FEELS LIKE SHE IS OWED THE CHURCH CAUSE SHE WAS MARRIED TO HER HUSBAND AND HE WAS THE PASTOR. SHE WAS HIS WIFE GAVE HER TIME TO HIM AND THE MINISTRY. CAUSE THAT'S WHAT HER TO WANTED AND AS A TRUE WOMAN OF GOD. SHE DID WHAT HER HUSBAND SAID DO.SO HE SHOULD HAVE MADE SURE THAT HE HAD ENOUGH INSURANCE MONEY, AND IRA"S, MONEY MARKET FUNDS, MONEY IN THE BANK FOR HIS FAMILY. AT THE END OF THE DAY.HER HUSBAND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR HER AND HER CHILDREN NOT THE CHURCH. SHE NEEDS TO MOVE ON.SPME ARE CALLED, SOME ARE CHOSEN, SOME CALL THEMSELVES. NOT ALL THESE PASTOR'S WIVES CAN PREACH NOR TEACH.JUST WANT TO CONTINUE TO RUN THE CHURCH BECAUSE THERE HUSBAND'S WERE THE PASTOR'S. THAT'S NOT ENOUGH.THESE WOMEN'S NEEDS TO GET AN EDUCATION A REAL DEGREE NOT THEOLOGY DEGREES AND GET A REAL CAREER. AND WORK LIKE THE REST OF US THEN THEY WOULDN'T BE SO CANKEROUS .TOWARDS FOLKS AND THINKING EVERYTHING COMES ON A SILVER PLATTER. I AM SURE THEY WILL GIVE HER A SEVERANCE PAY BUT SHE NEEDS TO MOVE ON. IF GOD HAS CALLED HER TO PREACH THEN HE WILL MAKE A WAY OUT OF NOWHERE FOR HER TO DO HIS WORK.BUT IF SHE JUST WANTS TO PREACH CAUSE HER HUSBAND WAS A PREACHER.SIT DOWN UNDER SOMEONE.THE FAMILY PROBABLY COULD HAVE STAYED AT THE CHURCH WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS. BUT IF SHE COULDN'T BE THE PASTOR SHE NOR HER FAMILY WANTED TO STAY. THAT'S IMMATURITY ON HER PART. IT'S TIME OUT FOOLISHNESS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD. SOULS ARE AT STAKES.
