White Christian Dean and Faculty Pose as Gangsters in Controversial Photo, After Backlash, Now Wants Lecrae To Help Clean The Mess Up.
Reader, these folks are giving Pepsi a run for their money, aren't they? You're telling me out of five experienced ministers of the gospel, all of whom apparently teach preaching for a living, not one of them thought to say, "You know, this might be inappropriate"?
A White dean of a Texas seminary affiliated with a Christian denomination is once known for its staunch defense of slavery posted what some say is a "racially-insensitive" photo of himself and other White professors apparently dressed as gangsters online.
Not one of them is familiar enough with the current state of race relations in this country to speak up and say, "This probably isn't a good idea"? The photo is bad enough. Publicizing the photo even worse. But, SMH, the ignorance, and insensitivity behind the photo is the worst part.
Anyhow, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary has asked Christian rapper Lecrae (in which he turn them down) for his help after getting severe backlash for the racist photo of faculty members supposedly dressed as rappers.
