For The Next 100 Days, 1000 People Will Be Praying For Donald Trump!!

Reader Bishop William Murphy and the Dream Center is asking all prayer warriors to join them as they wrap their arms around the newly elected president his family and his administration.

Romans chapter 13, verses 1 and 2, are very clear on this, "...Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves." The Apostle Paul was speaking to the religious community, and to secular culture, and making it clear that whoever is in office, or in authority, is there by Divine Design, and Purpose. So you might as well #STOPTripping, and start praying!

He IS our President! Whether you like it or not, #DonaldTrump is the man that God's going to use, to bless us, and to accomplish His Will in the earth. So Father our souls say "YES", even though we're struggling to see Your Hand in this. We pray for our President, and for his family, and for the new administration, that You are going to use to "Make America PRAY Again".

It's in Jesus' Name, that we make our requests known, and we ask that You would constrain every politician, and every person connected to this shift...and Father don't let them do anything that will cause #TheUnitedStatesofAmerica to continue to stray from Your Will. Use The #POTUS, and every Republican, and every Democrat, to accomplish Your Will for Your People.

#MakeAmericaGreatAgain, #MakeTHECHURCHGreatAgain, and help us to make You known again...in Jesus' Name! Use this administration to turn the hearts of America back to you, but don't let their policies and plans, put us in a position where we have to play games, or compromise our faith. Father we trust You, and we set our hope in You! And we believe that this is still our season for Grace, and for Favor...it's in Jesus' Name we pray! Amen! #1000peoplepraying #dReamcenteratl #prayingthroughit #prayer #day18of21 #21daysoffastingandprayer #WilliamMurphy #JESUS #repost

  1. I don't follow William Murphy on social media so I can't really answer this question. But I'm curious if did a similar prayer request for any other president. Anyone who paid attention over the last 8 years can bear witness to the level of disrespect that was aimed at President Obama. I don't recall any group of evangelicals covering him, President Obama, in prayer. It might have happened but I am not aware of any instance of it.

Many are bring up the scripture about governing bodies, but if they are honest they were completely unwilling to be governed by the first black American president and even now they seek to discredit him and malign his character. Yet, they are the first to bring this scripture up and I'm not talking about anyone on this site but about profiles I actually followed on social media.

The thing about is this, the country consists of a diverse array of citizens. Some of us are Christian others of us are not. Some of us are heterosexual, others of us are not. Some of us are brown=skinned others of us are not. A president should have concern and care for every single one, every single citizen. I will be bold enough to say that every true Christian should have care for others as well, even if they are in other countries.

How can you out of one side of your mouth proclaim Christ, and out of the other side proclaim bigotry? The way the Bible is being twisted by some of these folks, to shield certain politicians troubles me greatly because the mercy in God's word is apparently not available to other politicians.

    1. You do remember all the hateful prayers that went up for the death of President Obama right? At least these folks are praying that the racist trump be a successful.

    2. You said you are troubled? The Bible says "let not your heart be troubled, ye believe in God, believe also in Me".

Evangelical have prayed for presidents. Black evangelicals pastors prayed over Obama. Black evangelicals even did so for Hilary. AND as seen here black evangelicals praying for TRUMP.

YOUR asked how can one proclaim Christ and bigotry at the same time? You got to realized that we are not Christians by what we do, we are Christians because of what we believe.

We can offer nothing to a HOLY GOD. Only bbecaude of God's love for us, He died so that we can place our trust in this truth, to be saved, to become Christians.

Scriptures furthermore state the best we can offer in our own righteousness is like filthy rags before a Holy God. That said, though our faith enables us to be Christians, we are not perfect. And in our I'm perfected state, we will sin and think unrighteously.

We believe God is true, yet we lie. We say the Lord owns everything yet we steal. We say God has no respect of persons yet we are prejudice and racists in our views.

  2. You still didn't get it (I would say, GOOD PRAYER & BIBLICAL). Can WE just humble ourselves and pray....Is that too hard to do as we are commanded.... 2 Chronicles 7:14. And if you think some of US wasn't praying for Obama, you are TOTALLY wrong. Even though my church is not in the "Lime-Light" my pastor dedicates our prayer time for; Family, Community, Military, Leaders, etc, and yes, Israel, because we are commanded to do so. My goodness, Is it that hard to do? In Christ Alone, RLR.

  3. I asked questions. I don't know that the replies necessarily answered the questions that I asked but I appreciate the responses nonetheless.

  6. Miss Ann,

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." (Romans 13:1-14)

The entire chapter has to be read and understood. As believers we are not resisting those in authority. We who have chosen to live according to the precepts of God are already law abiding. That is why Paul tells us not to forget the precepts of God. The leaders in authority are to keep in check those who live against the precepts of God.

The other thing that Murphy and the Dream Center will not tell you is that when we pray for those in authority, it is for our peace. “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty”. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall NOT want...

  7. I think the point that was being made earlier is that many Christians and leaders who did not vote for Obama and disagreed with his policies did not band together to pray for him as they are now banding together to pray for Trump. For a Christian, prayer should never be the issue.

I think the issue that the earlier commentor was pointing out is more about Christians and leaders having a "respector of persons" mindset. God is no respector of persons, so the real issue that was being exposed was that it seems as though Obama was not supported nationally through prayer, as mandated by the Bible for leaders, as much by Christians who did not want him to be elected. This is really about Christians not showing partiality when it comes to prayer. It's time for us to look in the mirror and question whether we really pray for people we don't agree with, our enemies, people who despitefully use us, leaders who we don't like, etc.

I did not vote for Trump and I am very troubled about his presidency, but am I going to pray for him? Absolutely, yes.

  8. He is doing what the Lord commands of every Christian, to pray for those in authority. @Anonymous at the beginning of this thread I am sure as a Pastor this is not the first time he's prayed for our presidents, but you can reach out to him via email or call his church and ask the question directly instead of asking here since no once can answer but him. Have a great evening.
