Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Pastor Benny Hinn Stunned Members Of Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's Church In Warri!!

Reader, most of us have seen this phenomena occur in the charismatic churches all over the country, where you see pastors or ministers laying hands on people, usually on their foreheads, and then they fall backwards. The charismatics have named this phenomena as being “Slain in the Spirit.” Some people call it “Falling in the Spirit” or “Resting in the Spirit.”

Terms such as “slain in the Spirit” and “falling under the power” are not found in the Bible. I'm not aware of any Scriptures that specifically describe this experience which occurs in some church services, where believers are prayed for and in the process fall to the floor and remain unconscious for a time.

Anyhow, according to social media buzz this week all eyes were on Televangelist, Pastor Benny Hinn, who caused quite a scene during a early visit at pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's Word of Life Bible Church in Warri, Delta state. Pastor Benny Hinn, who is currently in Nigeria, as part of his worldwide evangelical outreach, sent the crowd and other congregants falling to the ground as he walked by during a prayer session, as the spirit moved strongly among the whole room.

Is this a real phenomenon? If it is – is it really God operating through the power of the Holy Spirit, or is it demonic spirits trying to masquerade as the power of Holy Spirit coming onto someone? There are many Christians and Christian groups who are really attacking this phenomena on social media.

What's your thoughts?

  1. Miss Ann,

Our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, warned us of such, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.” (Matthew 24:24 – 25)

When the Spirit of God came upon the apostles, there was no flipping out or falling over: “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Jesus said that the Spirit will be teaching us: “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:26).
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” (John 16:13-14)

So what kind of spirit is Benny Hinn carrying? “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:” (2 Thessalonians 2:9 – 11)

The WORD of God is for life, preservation, knowledge, wisdom and understanding (Psalm 119).

The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want…

    1. Thanks Anonymous for your opinion. I believe and agree that the Bible teaches that the people that fell back were unbelievers. Everyone of God's people fell on there knees or face down on there face in awe, worship and adoration.

  2. For anyone saying it's not in the bible..... Don't you remember Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came upon them and all the people supposed they were drunk. Well if you've ever been around drunk people they look like "slain in the spirit" and some have laughter. Don't harden your hearts towards the outpouring of the Holy Spirit but pray and ask God for wisdom concerning these things.

    1. Drive By, while I "do" affirm that God indeed does this as we see in the examples of Daniel and Ezekiel, when you speak of the Day of Pentecost you must remember 2 things:

1- The MOCKERS (not God fearing!) claimed the Believers were drunk (Acts 2:13)

2- The result of the filling of the Spirit in Acts 2 caused Peter to STAND UP; not fall down:

Acts 2:14 "But Peter, standing up with the eleven..."

  3. There is a difference between what some claim to be falling under the Spirit and going down under the power. When the temple of Solomon was dedicated the Shekinah presence of God fell and nobody could stand to minister. When Jesus was challenged in the Garden of Gethsemane and he declared I AM all the soldiers fell backwards. I believe both were manifestations akin to falling under the power. Ezekiel experienced it. John experienced it. When a person is prayed for, the release of the power of God can overpower the physical strength of the person being prayed for. When you see mountains of men laid out while God works in their lives you know it isn't hyonotism or suggestion. It has to be God.

    1. Anonymous Jesus never "slew" anyone "in the spirit". The only time in scripture we see people "falling out" is when they are demon possessed.IJS!

  4. Ann, I was asked this question yesterday, What is being Slain in the Spirit? and Is this Biblical? My Pastor back in the day did a teaching on this and I researched the answer for myself so when the question came up again yesterday, I again researched and found this article which will explain the 2 questions and know it's not Biblical so why are the Churches allowing this practice to continue. What and how did Jesus heal, prayed, cast out demons, etc? Most time when people laid eyes upon him, They were healed instantly because of their faith. Read this article and if you all can find any Biblical confirmation, Please let me know.
