Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Dr. Matthew Stevenson New Sermon Series For September: The God Man Unlocking The Mystery Of Jesus Christ!

Reader, we all know this election season is a mess. Both candidates are liars and neither one can be trusted.  Trump swaying in a black church yesterday looking like a fool, why Hillary was somewhere hiding out. Hopefully, Dr. Matthew Stevenson will be able to give us some helpful insight and information in his new sermon series for September.   I've really learned a lot from this ministry in the last couple of months by way of Periscope.

  1. Dear Miss Ann,

This sounds nice. But we as believers have to be careful. So before we get excited about the new series, here is some information that I think is pertinent in helping believers in our Lord Jesus to always check with scripture (like the Bereans in Acts 17).

Colossians 1:27 "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of the angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

These two verses have unlocked the mystery.

It is already established in God's word that the rulers of this world are against the LORD and his Christ. Psalms 2 and Acts 4.

With that being said, should we as Christians be involved in the politics of the day and believe that our vote counts? No! Because our Lord Jesus declared in John 18 that his kingdom is not of this world. However, we can pray for our poltical leaders that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life (1 Timothy 2).

    God bless!

    2. Amen! Our foundation should always stand on The Word Of God and not our own understanding

    3. Thank you fellow anonymous. One of the things I have learnt in my Christian walk is that God's word is enough for our faith. And I believe this is the straight and narrow that Jesus talked about. Once we get in the presence of the preachers of these days, there is a likelyhood that we might be sold stuff or taken to the cleaners. Psalm 119 in detail elaborates why the WORD of God is life and preserves. Once you have the WORD you can't be swayed. Remember Jesus under temptation quoted the WORD of God to his adversary. Without the WORD we are weak and susceptible. God's word should be in our hearts but most importantly we have to understand it - by reading it. The Holy Spirit is our teacher - he will guide (John 14:26).

      God bless.

    4. You on it Anonymous. On point! My thing about the new ministers coming up outta nowhere... I have no problem with. However we must be careful because again, if the only message that's given is destiny, favor, harvest, purpose and blessing 99.99% of the time, I'm sorry, but it's time to step. I'll admit, I have to hear more of this brother's messages and initially what I've heard is okay, but I see that pic and I'm like, "ok, what you trying to say?" This what I say is for ALL ministries, if there's no mention of subject matters that terrify preachers such as homosexuality, abortion, sleeping around, who's the head of the house, qualifications of a preacher, how to deal with government ideologies and freemasonary along with cults just to name a few...it's time to walk. In other words if SIN is hardly ever mentioned out the pulpit and there's always that touchy feel good message, from what I've personally seen, the congregation of the numbers will always sky-rocket. Believe that.

  5. I actually like him. His biblically sound teaching is what draws you in. He preaches and teaches a BALANCED word. Not a lot of fluff and saying nothing.
Please listen to one of his messages before determining whether he is legit or not. People are tired of the charades in church. I'm thankful for those who haven't sold themselves to the prosperity gospel, lukewarmness and error.

    1. Unknown I agree with you. Dr. Matthew Stevenson is by far one of the greatest teachers of this hour.

    2. Yes, he might not be preaching the prosperity gospel, but he sure is teaching another gospel (2 Corinthians 11). His bio is enough to show that such a one is not in position to teach against all forms of sinfulness and exhort the believers to stay true to the commandments of our Lord Jesus Christ. Paul told the Philippians (3) of how he counted all things he had gained as loss for the sake of Christ. Dr. Stevenson can’t help himself but pepper his bio with his accolades and achievements including “supernatural gifts” – which is not a biblical principle at all. I would personally hesitate to follow such a one lest I be like the men who followed Absalom in their simplicity (2 Samuel 15).

This might not rhyme with those who have been following Dr. Stevenson’s teachings. However, we should be cognizant of the number of times men of God (including our Saviour Jesus Christ) in the bible warn against false teachers. Look at the number of times obeying the commandments of God is important in the lives of these men of God (including Jesus Christ who was obedient even unto death and thought of it as no robbery – Philippians 2). None of these men of God who put their lives at risk to speak out God’s commandments and preach his gospel ever profited from their service. Once again Paul introduced himself as a servant of Jesus Christ (Romans 1). Preachers of today can’t take servitude as an honor and yet Jesus declared that a servant is the greatest (Matthew 23).

We should not entirely trust these preachers to have the word for us. We should trust in God for therein lies our blessing (Jeremiah 17). Psalm 119 entails the fact that God’s word is perfect. Read it, pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance, he alone can give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding. His word alone is truth (John 17).

Yes, I know that there are those who will say but God is speaking through Dr. Stevenson – there is a word for y’all “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” (Hebrews 1). If the word of God is not sufficient for you, beware that you do not have itching ears (2 Timothy 4).

God bless you all who believe that Jesus is our Lord and saviour and that there is no other name by which we are saved.

    3. Miss Jay now that you have said all that which in my opinion mounts to nothing. Just what is it about Dr. Matthew teaching of the truth you don't like?

      Delete
    4. Betty Sue, there's no need for Miss Jay to pick apart Dr. Stevenson's teachings. The WORD of God does that sufficiently. Take time to read it sometime. 2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction..."

    5. Anonymous y'all some haters for real. Y'all mad because God is now raising up a new generation of preaches, pastors, and teachers who don't look like the mess that's in our pulpits today. Dr. Matthew Stevenson open a church in Atlanta Ga, a couple of weeks ago....guess how many folks were trying to get in to hear the word? Over 800 souls. His brand will only grow stronger in the years and months to come.

    6. Miss Woods, if you understood the word of God, you would know that God does not show might in numbers (Judges 7), instead you would watch and pray (Matthew 21) for the times we are in are of increased evil (2 Timothy 3). “The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:” Deuteronomy 7:7

The large crowd rushing through the doors to listen to that man has me thinking of Jesus’ words in Matthew 7 "...For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”.

No, I am not a hater but like Jude, I am trying to help you see that the word of God has been tried and tested (Psalm 12) and that you are not taken advantage of and run after the error of Balaam (Jude 1).

Please, please, read God’s word, seek for guidance through the holy spirit. Jesus says, “In your patience possess ye your souls”. Luke 21.

Read the word of God, keep his commandments, by this you shall live (Psalm 119).

      God keep and bless you.
