Dallas Megachurch Pastor Robert Morris On Racism!

Reader kudos to this pastor for saying what he said, and for how he said it, straight with no chaser. During a sermon this past weekend, Pastor Robert Morris of Dallas’ Gateway Church — one of the largest in the country — explained how racism is partly the church problem.  This past weekend, Pastor Robert Morris shared a powerful message titled “A Lack of Understanding” where he encouraged the church to stand against the evils of racism. Must watch, your jaw will drop.  You can only imagine how the rest of the sermon went.

As A Believer, Cookie Johnson Reveals Accepting Son EJ’s Sexuality ‘Was Very Hard’!

Reader while I can't imagine having trouble accepting my own child, especially if I was a woman who had accepted my husband contracting HIV by repeatedly cheating on me, it's wonderful to see a family be supportive of an individual who faces intersectional discrimination. While on the other hand, some believe that any parent who is experiencing this, it's like a death because the child you gave birth to, the dreams for that person, etc., no longer exist.

 Do you agree?

In a new episode of 'Super Soul Sunday' Oprah Winfrey sat down with Cookie Johnson to discuss her feelings about her son EJ being gay. Johnson became emotional as she revealed to Oprah how she learned to accept it ——> cookie johnson reveals accepting son EJ's sexuality “was very hard

  1. Yes. Love your children unconditionally.. but she's in complete and total denial. She gotta pray that curse off with fasting and prayer daily. I don't care what anybody says.

  2. Yes, I agree. Her sons life is his to live, hating him isn't going to change him. No parent should let something like this get them to the point of questioning whether to love their own child or not.

  3. Train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

However much we love on our children, we are not training them. We are providing them with what we never had, taking them to schools we never went to and gravitating them to "people who matter" but they are actually ruining them.

And yes, we might take them to church every Sunday, but as parents are we living according to the WORD of God or according to the flesh?

The WORD of God requires us to teach God's commandments to our children. But if we (and our bishops and pastors) are breaking each and every one of them, let's not hold our pearls in shock!

    1. Weeelll... You missed:

Proverbs 22:15 "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him."
