More Americans Say That You Can Be Good Without God?

Image
Reader for the first time, a majority of Americans — 56 percent — say it is possible to be a good person without a religious belief. So says new Pew Research Center data drawn from two polls conducted among about 5,000 American adults in June and July. “God is not a prerequisite for good values and morality,” Greg Smith, Pew’s associate director of research, said in a post about the findings. ” … [T]he public’s increased rejection of the idea that belief in God is necessary for morality is due, in large part, to the spike in the share of Americans who are religious ‘nones.

Should Christian Pastors Be Speaking At Gay Affirming Churches?

Reader, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) affirming Christian denominations are Christian denominations that do not consider homosexuality or transgenderism to be sin. They include entire religious denominations, as well as individual churches and congregations. Some are composed mainly of non-LGBT members and also have specific programs to welcome LGBT people, while others are composed mainly of LGBT members.  With that being said some in the Christian community are in there feeling this morning saying that pastors, teachers, and leaders of the Christian community, should not support nor associate with these churches.  Question do you agree?

The following quote was somewhat popular a couple of years ago when Bishop O.C. Allen III did just what the popular quote suggested:
"Homosexuals should FIND a congregation (church) that AFFIRMS their lifestyle"?
Bishop Allen said that "God has called him to create a space that Christ-centered, that is [soley focus on Jesus]."

Bishop O.C. Allen III is the senior pastor of The Vision Church of Atlanta and founder of The United Progressive Pentecostal Church Fellowship, an alliance of faith leaders and churches.

First off, how can people who are spiritually lost preach to me about the Love of Christ or anything else? Some people have purposely made hellfire their destination and no matter how much you pray for them they wont come into the true knowledge of Jesus. The only church sinners can take over are the false Babylonian churches, the ones who have whored themselves with the world, I refuse to become joined to any church building, I have never in all my days seen so much corruption in the body of Christ as Ive seen now, the real people of God should come from among the heathens dot get caught with your back turned to the devil, be vigilant and alert like the bible tell us to.

    1. We all knew this day was coming. As it was in the days of Noah,so shall it be at the end near the coming of the Son Of Man. We are living in some perilous times. Men are lovers of themselves and each other and not THE MOST HIGH/CHRIST/HOLY SPIRIT. Satan is feeding the minds of these gay so-called preachers, pastors, bishops and the like. He has caused them to be unable to see right from wrong anymore. Peoples hearts have waxed cold towards THE MOST HIGH and there is now a deep hate for the truth. Just like the people told the prophet Isaiah to get away from them preaching truth, but rather preach unto them smooth things that they want to hear. We are living in this time right now. Ain't nothing new under the Sun.

  4. Stating that "homosexuals should FIND A CHURCH that affirms their lifestyle" is a cop out (no pun intended with regards to my blog persona)

The Bible does not say, "spread the gospel to everyone "EXCEPT FOR HOMOSEXUALS" who need to find their own "SPECIAL church THAT supports their lifestyle"

If you can't spread the gospel to EVERYONE (homosexuals, atheist, rapist, your sister, or crazy cousins) Then I am questioning your motives for preaching. Because you surely don't want to spread the gospel to EVERYBODY.

  5. i am not one to judge, because i am nowhere close to perfect. but lesbians and gays are not shown any mercy in the Bible. i’m not saying we should be hostile to them, but then again we cannot lie to ourselves and say it’s ok. I mean why would God create a man and a woman (Adam and Eve) ? i’m not here to condemn anyone, but please be honest with yourselves. GAY CHURCH???? I will not condone such because then i will be calling God a liar. Fine, be gay. But don’t involve God and His word in it. don’t change it into what makes you happy just because you don’t like it. THE TRUTH CAN HURT SOMETIMES! face it!!!

    1. But that's what most churches have done. For example, the many denominations are the result of a "revelation" that was different from the founders original denomination. So to find that affirming churches apply the same approach should not be a cause for declaring them reprobates of sort. Just as you, im not condoning what they are doing but I am saying they are doing what most Christian churches have done. We don't know the full scale of how many churches were started because of a schism but I would bet that it's a sizable number. We also don't know what truly makes a Christian a Christian because a lot of words do not comport with the fruit.

  6. What we call "church" is supposed to be a fellowship amongst people who already believe in Jesus Christ. Once you decide to follow Jesus, you join a church to foster spiritual maturity and fellowship with other believers. The church is not a place for people who affirm sinful lifestyles to fellowship and swap notes on how to deceive themselves...but this is what church is becoming. This is crazy.

No ma'am, a real Christian should not be going to LGBT churches; to do so is disrespecting the church by affirming these cesspools as churches. However, I do think that if welcomed, preachers should preach the gospel to LGBT groups that know they ain't saved. But a group of people who have turned the truth into a lie, run depart flee do not go there!
