Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Church Announcement: Former Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali Has Moved From Time Unto Eternity, Where Time No Longer Matter.

Reader Muhammad Ali, widely hailed as the greatest heavyweight boxer in the sport’s history, died last night. This is a reminder that the death of a neighbor, a friend, or a loved one brings us face to face with eternity. We dare not honor the life and death of another without being reminded of the fact that we, too, will die. The Bible teaches us that death is a kind of door leading to eternity. There is much that is mysterious about eternity, but the story which our Lord told in Luke chapter 16 opens the door, and enables us to learn some important lessons concerning the relationship between life now and life in eternity.

 RIP Champ!

    2. Not trying to make a point. You said in the Jan Crouch post, it's not our job to say folks are not saved. It is our job to put folks in heaven. I wanted to know if you think we did our job with Ali? That's it. Nothing else.

  2. I have no words only the feeling of great sadness.... ‪#‎MohamedAli‬....He changed the world and our minds in ways no other person could. He tamed the wildest of beasts and showed them that the power of love kills all negativity. The greatest role model has left us and for those with a brain shall remember him for his approach to peace and life. There will never be anything or anyone like him...brother Mohamed Ali...

"The greatest role model has left us.." You really believe that? Ali was a Muslim or a part of bootleg Islam aka the Nation of Islam. Jesus is THE GREATEST role model that ever lived, point blank period.

45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

I had to go and re-read this verse. If the peace of God is in a man or woman's heart it will surely come out in those words.

A lack of peace, a heart full of malice will surely be evident as well. Some it seems are always out for an attack and while I don't understand the rationale
I do know that all of us will have to give an account to God for every idle word spoken.

    1. And there is "peace with God" - which comes alone through Jesus Christ, and the "peace of God" which again comes alone through Jesus Christ. Need to emphasize, we all were at war with God because of our sins. The LORD offered Himself as a "peace" offering so that we who believe by faith, are at "peace with God". We then because of the "peace we have with HIM" POSITIONALLY, can know the "peace of God" EXPERIENTIALLY. Any words spoken about PEACE other then these context ARE IDLE WORDS...

    5. CORRECTION - Um...yeah, NO. I've been using "drive-by" in reference to certain comments for a while. But when did you start copyrighting phrases? I give credit where credit is due, but don't flatter yourself. Regarding the post about Boom vs Bryant, I was agreeing with DC Joe as my later comment displayed within that post. My drive-by reference was to the "anonymous" commenter (probably you) who made reference to DC Joe doing a drive-by which to me was whack.

  7. My faith is in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and I'm very glad about that. Let me be clear in that regard.

But a constantly argumentative spirit, so quick to demean and verbally assault does not attest to goodness of our God.

It is an absolute shame that in this family's time of mourning someone here is convinced that speaking in such a way glorifies God.

For the last week or so one anonymous person has commented here on Miss Ann's blog and not a single one of their comments have given evidence of the unmerited grace of God that they have received as a Christian.

It amazes me that a recipient of God's grace, mercy and most importantly salvation would be so quick to give none. Won't even be merciful during a family's mourning...where is the peace of Jesus in such a person?

I have seen none of it.

Thank goodness that the Lord is the author and finisher of our faith and he will finish what he started in all who are His and I can praise the Lord for that.

Umph, look how all that negativity has worked for my good cause in the midst of the person's bitterness I have been reminded of yet another reason to praise the Lord.

  8. You are doing nothing but adding fuel to the fire. LET ME REMIND YOU… THIS IS A BLOG!!! If Ms. Ann thinks my comments are offensive in anyway, I’m quite sure she’ll delete it, and I will have no problems with it. AGAIN THIS IS A BLOG, and people have the privilege to express the way they choose to within the guidelines given by the host. This is not CHURCH where you act accordingly. And to set the record straight, I have responded in the manner I do since I’ve been commenting on this BLOG (GET IT) for over a year now.

You come across as a pompous individual, your last response telling your faith (when no one said anything in question about “your” faith), and your shady language about how God blessed you in the midst of bitterness. You are no different than the other’s you accuse me of arguing with. Not only that, but if you think your comments here are showing respect for the Ali Family, you are completely delusional. I doubt the Ali family is even looking here to read.

You went back to re-read the scripture I quoted and commented in your shady little way coming across under the guise of being “gracious”. We call people like you “NICE NASTY”. Since you felt the need to re-read the scripture I quoted, I suggest you go back and re-read the comments I made. I stand by all I said from 1) asking Ann about she thought Christians but Ali in heaven after her comment on the post about Jan Crouch; 2) asking another individual about Ali being a “brother”; 3) agreeing with Mos Def’s question because I thought what she posed was biblical and stating a biblical verse to confirm her implication to true; 4) and gave the Biblical definition of “peace”, which by the way you seem ignorant the definition. I suggest you really search your heart to see your behavior here.

You can call what I did, arguing all you want. I call what I did “being biblical”, because Scriptures tells me to reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. I call what you do is being full of pride in your “NICE NASTY” way. The only reason I quoted the verse “out of the heart the mouth speaketh” was because “Not Happy” said Ali saying “I AM THE GREATEST” was not to be taken literally. You somehow used this verse to judge me in your NICE NASTY way to imply I lack peace, had a heart full of malice, and spoke idle words. I know you will never admit to your action as wrong. Your type never does. STOP IT ANONYMOUS. YOU ARE NOT GRACIOUS AT ALL! I don’t expect a reply from you because I KNOW, you will take the high road and not argue with my kind. I really want to call you by another name, but I’ll use some restraint to remain civil.

    1. Rarely do I jump in the middle of mess, especially on someone else's blog, but....

Anonymous: You mentioned that this is a blog, not church. Why would one's conduct change so drastically just because we're no longer in a building? We should strive at all times to be a walking living church. A blog doesn't give us license to indulge our flesh...especially on a Christian blog. We all have different reasons for why we comment, and we may not always agree, but let's make sure our intent is good. Let's use this platform that Ms. Ann has provided to have useful dialogue whether it be funnny or educational; but never evil. The world and church are watching, let's light up the darkness!

If you have ought with someone, such as Ms. Ann, why not email her? But this pettiness is not a good look.

      Delete
    2. Your intent to not "jump in the middle of the mess", created more mess. All the implications of evil and flesh and church vs church building and educational and pettiness is really foolishness and not good for dialogue at all...

      Delete
    3. Actually, I fully intended to jump in the middle of mess in hopes for us all to consider cleaning up even if the mess isn't mine. My comment was in context, and I don't write to promote foolery. My comments speak for themselves. To paraphrase, you stated that depending on the forum, you will act accordingly. I replied that no matter the forum blog or church, the conduct should remain the same. The church building vs. church piece clarifies fellowship versus body of Christ (The Church). We should all be The Church no matter the forum or space and act accordingly.

      Delete
    4. No, your comments were not in context. DON"T YOU FLATTER YOURSELF. Couldn't have been so when you misrepresented the term "OUGHT". You misused the word evil, and discerned incorrectly the term flesh in this instance.

You choose not want to admit the error of your ways here. Again the Bible does not tell me to go to a person if I have “ought” against them. It says if a person has an ought against me (if I had wronged them), I should leave my gift at the altar and take care of THE OUGHT AGAINST ME. You keep wanting to rattle on about the church and BLOG as a platform, the most menial part of my comment, and pick at the part I said about drive-by. And your over-exaggeratory language about changing conduct so DRASTICALLY and the drive-by comment is nonsense. And by the way as a response to your unnecessary and lengthy reply about "drive-by", I was the Anonymous who responded to DC Joe that at least he didn't do a drive, not the other who gave the four letter drive-by. I never said I coined any phrases. I said in jest about you using the phrase “drive-by”, cause I just never saw the phrase used on this BLOG, including you, before. CALM DOWN.

I did not invent the saying "NO justice no peace...know justice know peace", either. That was not original with me. CALM DOWN!
Again you want to overlook the weightier parts of the comments of this "argument" as you call it. This individual cast all sorts of shade and judgment against me. I was direct with my comments, and with reason called that individual NICE NASTY AND FULL OF PRIDE. You pretty much followed suit to do exactly what she did bumping your gums implying operating in the flesh, drastic change in conduct and evil. Given your acts through your flesh here, I take it as a JOKE from you to say "we should all be the church, and light up the darkness. SORRY you do not have my attention.

Now I just read you disagree my goal. I never stated ANY GOALS, I JUST RESPOND AND REPLY. You are moving too fast...TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND SLOW DOWN. You already judged me as changing drastically, implied my actions as evil and acting out the flesh. Now you are talking about my TONE. GIVE ME BREAK.

I'm glad you got clarification of that verse. THAT’S an important one a lot of us grossly misinterpret. We “ought” to focus on the things we have done to wrong others. YOU and the other party both agreeing to the wrong done. It's hard for me to listen you address about meekness, when you didn't do so with your inflammatory speech (evil, flesh, changing conduct drastically). AGAIN the only thing I spoke in this post was to ask questions, and reply in agreement to MO DEF. You really should give the meekness and tone talk to the Anonymous calling me bitter, imply I lack peace, had a heart full of malice, and spoke idle words. For you to neglect in doing so, is outrageous almost to the point of sin.

I know you already addressed the first part of my comment the word "ought". So please ignore. You said I seems like you try to correct, but you fail to connect. Did it not connect with you the simple word "ought". Why would you say it fails? You don't know the impact my comment or any other comment made here has on people. You need to pull over and stay in your lane. I’m done. Do as you say should be done, and STOP ARGUING. God Bless…

  9. Mr. Ali was not a part of the church to my knowledge. Didn't he change his government name from Clay to Ali to show his allegiance to Islam? While I don't think it's wrong to honor a person that positively impacted your life in your personal space, we shouldn't give those who denounce Jesus as the Christ regard on a Christian blog.

    1. A BLOG vs a church, merely meaning platform ONLY. One conduct should always be Christlike especially if he is a Christian, regardless of the place HE is at.

I don't think the things I commented here were by in no means EVIL as you have suggested. I don't have an ought against anyone here. I don't even KNOW THESE PEOPLE.

Let just be "educational" as you propose for a second. Scriptures do not tell me how I should behave if "I have an ought against somebody". It tells me how I should behave when / if "someone has an ought against me". See...when I do just what I did here, I get accused of arguing. I BELIEVE if this is a BLOG, NAMED the BLACK CHURCH, I SHOULD AT least express my ideals to correct biblically.

All I did was posed a couple of questions, commented on the affirmative to one poster and gave my thoughts on Peace after another individual misapplied and misused the term in my opinion. I also said "NO justice no peace...know justice know peace", A STATEMENT FULL OF TRUTH FROM THE BIBLE.

I HEARD your statement about "indulging" in the flesh. But frankly, I don't think this applies to me no more it applies to the person who judged to allude I lack peace, has a heart full of malice and spoke idle words. In my opinion this individual is full of pride and NICE NASTY. AND FOR you to give this a pass, and propose suggestions to me...well I say you may be acting out the flesh. I'm not going to use the word evil though, because I think evil is way more than an individual just stating his or her opinion.

  10. I knew the ALI posting was going to get some things going. Wow..haha! On the subject at hand, Ali was something else. He cracked me up, challenged the status quo like no other, RAN HIS MOUTH LOL..., and was more than an athlete. Are these to qualifications to make it into glory? So sorry. Nope. If I'm not mistaken, years and years after "Rumble in the Jungle", George Foreman in 2007 witnessed to Ali about Jesus. Unfortunately Ali wasn't hearing it. It was up to Ali to adhere to what George was trying to tell him and if he didn't listen, then oh well.
