Why this couple didn't hock, sell, or pawn their guns? According to the article, the Nelson's bankruptcy filing shows they possessed nine guns, valued at more than 18,000 each, and at the time of the filing, they both pointed out their unemployment. An Oklahoma couple named by authorities as “primary suspects” in last week’s murder-suicide that left their six children dead faced mounting money woes, while the husband suffered from crippling pain caused by an old head injury, family members have said. Two adults and six children were found dead on Oct. 27 inside a burning home in the Tulsa suburb of Broken Arrow. Local police on Sunday identified the parents as Brian Nelson, 34, and Brittney Nelson, 32, but provided no information on whether both adults took part in the killings of their children, who ranged in age from 1 to 13. Brian Nelson’s parents, Danny and Marilyn, told the Tulsa World that their son had asked if they could come over at 3 p.m. Thursday to babysit their gra
Another preacher stealing funds from the church to life a rich life style, nothing new.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't so much call it stealing, if folks are giving of their own free will. But why such lavish of a gift? These are the type acts that causes some to covet and question the motives of ministers as greedy and ostentatious. We got to be very careful not to be a stumbling block. There is just a lack of wisdom being displayed here.
DeleteIt's called the fleecing of the flock.
Deleteu r welcome to modern christianity
DeleteEzekiel 34
DeleteIts STEALING... I would guarantee he asked for the money to do work for the poor or threaten them with the wrath of god.... I can hear it now,"Will a man rob GOD!?" So, these people hand over their money under threat duress and coercion. THAT'S PROTECTION MONEY, EXTORTION!
DeleteMORE than a lack of wisdom. Even if he told his parishioners that this was what it is for, he is just another corrupt so-called man of God treating his followers like a bunch of sheep.
DeleteNot Stealing. He can't and will not be incriminated for receiving a gift from his congregation.
DeleteLike it or not - he is not the only Pastor doing this. People this is the new money racket!
DeleteThis money should have been used for helping the poor, feeding the hungry, the usual stuff that the Bible calls for. This mofo just using his sheep as a free meal (car) ticket. It should be a set amount as his "pay"for his service and the rest should be used as intended, not making lavish purchases. Sick and tired of people claiming that they are oh so pious because they carry the bible around like a talisman, but in reality they are scum of the earth. This is nothing, but embaselmet.
DeleteMy point is this...IF heverything is ROBING the people (and it DOES sound like he COULD BE), Realizing that God will take care ofit in DUE Time.
DeleteBest to learn the VOCAULARY of silence and pray God's will into the situation rather than attack or accuse someone of things that we have little knowledge of. His people may have TOLD HIM TO DO IT!...AS Crazy as that sounds it could be the case...
Cast it upon Him for Him to judge and fix the situation.
Blessings,
Gregg
So just because he's a pastor, he can't give his wife a treat er??? Please give him a break! I'm with you Sir. I salute your oil koraaa
DeleteIt's not her yet, stop giving tithes and there will be a repossession. It's that simple!
DeleteYou don't even know if the man can afford a Lamborguini from his own wealth. WHY DO ALL OF YOU ASSUME THE CHRCHES MONEY WAS USED !!!
DeleteYou don't even know if this man is even a Pastor...
I am a pastor and the bible does teach use to g8ve to those who teach us. In other word this pastor should be given something for the work he do at the chuch. Now as for me I would not take monies from the church if the church is lacking in any kind of way. That is because it's my choice. I probably would not have bought my wife a lav8sh gift like this and the people in the church is suffering. We as pastors have to be very careful as to what message we are sending to the people. So I apologize for what you have seen here. There are some great pastors who care about people more than themselves. Let God deal with him 8f that the case because vengeance is His.
DeleteThat's is a lie twisted. In the bible, it speaks of FOOD. Answer this, How a Child of God be BLESSED and CURSED at the same time? Malachi 3:9
DeleteI don't get it PERSONALLY but IF he is ripping of his congregation then God will deal with him in due time...cuz you can serve God and money and that's all he's about it will be TOTALLY exposed in a much greater explosion.
ReplyDeleteSorry you can NOT serve God & $$$
ReplyDeleteSomeone should send him this message from Gregory Porter

Everyone is judging but do you by what means he used to pay for that car? No, you are assuming. Stop assuming & judging him.
ReplyDeleteyou mean the other job he has? I make 150k a year and cant afford that sh!t...he is going to hell
DeleteAnthony Kimble. It says he used the churches tithe to buy the car. Please read before u comment.
DeleteHe is not only a prophet but a seroius and hardworking business man, the fact that he get tithe does not he spent it on the car. keep it up Sir
ReplyDeleteSMH.... sad sad sad.....
ReplyDeleteYour disgust will lead YOU to hell. Enough already all your rhetoric about Christianity. Christianity is the ONLY WORLDVIEW that talks about life as life was created by the God of the Bible. The Christian faith proves to be historical. It talks about real people and real places. Yes there was a person who lived and walked this earth, just like there was a Pontus Pilate or a Herod or Agrippa. Christianity talks about God as the Creator of man and all, and discusses deeply man's being and his experiences. The Bible hones in on man's greatest need for Him to honor the One who made him. That man will struggle to do so, to the point He is incapable of doing so. But God through revelation by his prophets and his word, tells man and shows man His resolve for this conflict, un that when all man deserved to die because He was incapable of measuring up to God's perfect standard, He sent His SON to die for them. Because of this Great love, man is moved to love back in a way to honor God with good and righteous choices, guided by His Spirit to do good to his people and society. SO now tell me...Give me your alternative of a worldview asides from calling Jesus white and referencing SLAVERY...
ReplyDeleteNo man that calls themselves a child of God that says God called them to lead God's people or a pastor and does not keep the Word themselves is getting over. " be not deceived god is not mocked for whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap" God takes care of His own who are obedient to HIS word not man's.
ReplyDeleteAmen...he,will be handled by God Himself and not man. Man judges by the outward things....God judgesaid by the heart...
DeleteWhether we like it or agree with or not it is between the church body the pastor and God Himself.
Yes God Yahweh will

ReplyDeleteKarin Aye, you do realize Christianity existed in Africa long before slavery here in America don't you?
ReplyDeleteKarin Aye, it's people like you that's been spreading B.S. about Christianity. If you would study the text you would know the real truth. Stop spreading false info.

DeleteAmen. Christians SHOULD talk/post without being profain, and vulgar! That is IF one is truly in the Faith instead of JUST...IN THEMANY WAY [pun intended]
DeleteYOU ARE SO RIGHT. IF PEOPLE STUDIED THEIR BIBLES THEY WOULD KNOW THE TRUTH. AT THE COUNCIL OF NICEA IS WHEN CONSTANTINE CHANGED EVERYTHING HE COULD TO GET PEOPLE TO BELIEVE IN A COUNTERFEIT JESUS AND COUNTERFEIT RELIGION. THE CATHOLIC RELIGION IS PAGAN IN ITSELF. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS CREATED BY MAN AND DEFINITELY NOT ACCORDING TO THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS HIMSELF OR HIS APOSTLES, THAT IS WHY THEY WAITED UNTIL THE LAST APOSTLE WAS KILLED BEFORE HE ATTEMPTED TO MAKE THE CHANGE AND THERE WERE NO OTHER RELIGIONS PRESENT WHEN THIS HAPPENED THAT IS WHY THEY THOUGHT THEY GOT AWAY WITH IT. THEY THOUGHT NO ONE WOULD TAKE THE TIME OUT TO FIND THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH IS WHERE THE WHOLE WORLD CAN FIND IT. THE HOLY BIBLE READ IT AND STUDY IT MEDITATE ON IT AND IT WILL REVEAL ITSELF TO YOU. WITH THE HELP OF GODS SPIRIT. FOR WE LIVE NOT BY BREAD ALONE BUT BY EVERY I SAID EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDTH OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.
ReplyDeleteReligion is free and if you have to pay as far as I'm concerned your paying to worship the devil
ReplyDeleteEven the bible is took hard to understand.I did try and study my bible
ReplyDeleteRenee Gibs: once you are born-again again, and Spirit-filled, the Bible will STILL have times when it is not easy to understand...
ReplyDeleteBut, the Bible also says the Wisdom comes and reveals itself when one had the heart to receive it.
Please consider this: ask the Lord to give you wisdom & understanding too.

ReplyDeleteNot True…Constantine had nothing to do with getting anyone to believe in a counterfeit Jesus. When Constantine was the Emperor over Rome, he called together the Council of Nicea because he feared disputes within the church would cause disorder within his empire. The dispute had to do with whether Jesus was a created being thus the phrase “There was when He was not”. It was Arianism that taught Jesus was created, not Constantine (some debate he was a Christian), nor did Constantine try to push this doctrine. The doctrine stating Jesus was created was declared heretical by the council that therefore resulted in the following words about Christ in the Nicene Creed “God from true God…from the Father…not made.
ReplyDeleteWe just gotta be careful when we cite history this way. Many have problems with the King James version of the Bible because they say King James was a homosexual. He was just the King of England when the version was made. He had nothing to with the writing of the King James Version. Fact of the matter is under King James, we got our best version of the Bible. The King James version lines up with all the Other English Bibles (Geneva, Coverdale, Matthew, ect.) per the textus receptus. The King James version is called the MAJORITY text, because it uses 99% of manuscripts (5200 greek fragments), whereas the NEWER version uses only 1%.
About the Catholic religion, you are right there; a lot of what they taught and practiced were/is man-made. You should do a study on the version of the Bible they use.
I'm still trying to see where it was their "tithe" monies that purchased the car. Being such that folks with not so great wealth supplied it, THEY will STILL be blessed in their giving because they gave it out of obedience to God! Now anything that the pastor does outside of God with the monies, he'll have to "talk to God" about that! BET!
ReplyDeleteLets pray for our Leaders and the people we put into leadership roles. Lets pray that they may have a vision to enrich others lives and to be a blessing. Lets pray that these false prophets be exposed for who they are and that the people receive a spirit of discernment to eradicate these false spirits from using our Gods name and our churches as a mocking ground.
ReplyDeleteMat 24:3-5,10-11 (NIV) ..."Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered, "Watch out that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name,.. At that time many will turn away from the faith... and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people."
As spiritual adultery increases in the church, false prophets will flourish as highly sought after speakers, and as Christians accept more of these false teachings indiscriminately, many will fall away, believing in a phony "faith". Since we have been warned, it might be wise to seek insight into how to discern false prophecy--what are false prophets likely to say? What are they like?

Treasures in Heaven
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
I have a question on this matter. When is it OK for a person serving Christ to have nice things. I have been in the faith for about 15 years now. I have been successful and I don't consider myself to be wealthy as the world standards would be. I am not a pastor or minister. Though I have served as a deacon. I recently wanted to buy a car like this. However I changed my mind due to thinking what others might do in there walk in christ. It's harder for someone wealthy to reach someone to Christ than it is for others. The car she got was a Huracan, a price tag of 250 Gs plus. I wanted the Aventador a 400 Gs plus car. Sounds horrible, I know. However this woman knows Nothung about cars or how to drive one of this magnitude. I'm a car guy. My wife knows this and I can pretty much tell you anything about how these vehicles work and handle. It was actually more dangerous on the pastor'so part to do this because she doesn't know what she is doing and could potentially harm herself or worse. Besides all of that. My question to my brothers and sisters in Christ; is that is it OK for a Christian who has not stole but earned his living to aquire something like this if all of his priorities have been taken care of? And also I know having such a thing doesn't scream your a Christian but I believed it what you do with your life by following Jesus in your everyday walk that sets you apart. I know this isn't a thread for this type of thing. And I do apologize if it takes it off subject Ms. ANN. Things like what this pastor has done is foolish and give the rest of us a bad name as Christians and detours others away from Christ. As I have not bought anything yet buy wanted to get guidance from others in Christ so I don't look like these people from this article. Again Ms. ANN I do apologize if this was not the place to ask these questions. Thank you in advance for your guidance; as it is much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteI am not condoning what this pastor is said to have done. This is to Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteBuy your car, and enjoy it. Don't hesitate to pick up that homeless person and bring them with you to church in it. Can you get it dirty for God, or will uhh bee reserved for "special" use?
Don't let the maintenance of it interfere with your tithes and offering. Don't put it above all of the important things that God wants you to prioritize. Let it remain a thing, a tool for His use, as YOU remain a tool for God's use also. Do not give it to your wife if it will cause her to stumble and have an idol.
Let others see that you are not bound by and to the gift, but be bound to the Giver of Gifts. God's peace be with you.
At the end of the day it's just a car. I've picked up homeless people in my cars before so it's funny you say that. I love giving people rides in this kinda car anyways. No it wouldn't be for special use but it will have its track days. But in no way shape or form would I be bound by it. It came came from the same dusty ground that I did. The difference is that I know that it will return there and what's important is the spirit of me or anyone else being born again will have eternal life. That is the end result anyways which is Jesus Christ, a name not often heard in the church today. Which is quite sad. But yes I will be purchasing the car and it will be used as God wants it used. My license plate will have James 4 17 on it anyways. Thanks again for the guidance.
DeleteThis whole dilemma to buy an expensive car really is not the heart of the issue. We are called as Christians to be good stewards over what the LORD has given us. The Bible is clear that all we have comes from Him.
DeleteIt states the tithe is the LORD.
The Word of God gives a great illustration about the widow who gave all she had. Though only two mites, Christ said “Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.”
And when it comes to giving offering to support the poor and needy. Paul deeply mentioned verses 1 Corinthians 16:1,2 “Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” AND 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
The LORD is quite clear about the heart of a man and his money. He said in Luke 12:34 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”. If you want to really know what an individual is all about, look at his/her checkbook. See how they spend their money.
And of course the Bible teaches a man who does not take care of his family is worse than an infidel.
Also the wise man of Scriptures Proverbs 6:6-8 encourages us to save. Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. Saving money allows us to be prepared for the future.
Scripture demonstrates the best, godly and practical principles when it comes to managing money. If we adhere to God’s Word as stated, we would not even at the slightest wrestle out of some feeling of guilt or pleasure the decision to purchase a $250K / $400K car. The LORD will lead and guide you when you are doing His will. There are so many good ministries out there that need support. I believe when we align to spend God’s money (it’s His, not ours), He will reveal to us even more how to spend it. He will make us even better stewards for Him. Problem is we want to give to GOD what is LEFT, not what is RIGHT. Let me be the first to say, I have been disobedient in managing the monies God allowed me to have. I realize more now than ever, we need God and His Commandments more than we need money. Stewardship is more valuable than a Aventado. It is more precious than any Lamborghini sports car a husband can give to his wife.
So you are indeed telling me instead of blowing 400 on a car I should do something more constructive with it? Is there any suggestions that you would have? My family is taken care of, I'm active in my church, I have giving tithes and offerings, I have given carefully to organizations to help people. I'm just not sure as to why if I take care of what God wants me to do is it wrong for me to buy something not for the exclusive product or to attract attention; it's for what the car is capable of doing as opposed to a Honda civic. Abraham was wealthy and still had more faith than any of us. I'm not disputing your comment or advice but I'm unclear on the prominent question which was when is it OK for Christians to have nice things? And if all things considered into account of stewardship; can you then treat yourself to something you want. I'm not defending this pastor in anyway.
DeleteThe word clearly says GOD never gave the Greeks his word so how did the Romans and a king of England get their hands on it to rewrite in the first place. Isn't it because of slavery of the original Hebrew Jews. That's who had the truth of GOD's word before man whitewashed and twisted it. Christianity did reside in Africa as well as all other religions. They were all created to deceive the nation of Judah by the council. They knew exactly what they were doing and Judah was scattered all over the world for following these false religions. The true followers of GOD who tried to escape were later captured as slaves and forced with the new version of what man had rewritten over and over away from the truth of the stories. The people who passed Christianity aren't Christian at all because if they were than why have the scrolls been withheld that bear the truth. Because they don't want people knowing the truth.
ReplyDeleteBiblically illiterate people bash what they don't understand. God Himself said the tithes are compensation to the ministers for their service in ministry. As it is written, "Behold, I have given the children of Levi all THE TENTH in Israel for an inheritance, FOR THEIR SERVICE WHICH THEY SERVE, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation" (Numbers 18:21). What part of that don't you haters understand? Prophet Angel was well within his rights to do whatever he so choose to do with his COMPENSATION MONIES.
