    1. Earl Carter's counter suit is dismissed, but he still is gonna be sued by our leader. Praying much for our presiding bishop.

    2. Elder Earl Carter, who is a gifted preacher, has truly reduced his worth to the body of Christ with this continued pursuit to defame and embarrass the leader of our great Church. His claims have no merits, his witnesses are imaginary, and his assaults on Bishop Blake's character are seemingly limited to name-calling. What a fall for man who had so great potential...

    3. Pastor Smith, I agree, I find him to be a very intelligent, articulate man! I was thoroughly impressed when I listened to some of his sermons...but his ignorance overshadows all of that!

    4. I am wondering (due to limited legal knowledge) how a counterclaim is heard before the lawsuit that got the ball rolling in the first place? Secondly, as I understand it Carter did not necessarily loose the case as much as he was dealt a setback which may very well be viewed as an opportunity to put mount a better case. The language of the courts "dismissed without prejudice" means he can present a new case when he gathers facts that are relevant to his claim and which substantiate his claims. It seems like a gift from the judge who could have ruled "with prejudice" which would have ended his ability to file a counterclaim forever.
It is my hope that we who are observes will not participate in the vile name-calling and attack on another's character and look at whatever facts are involved (EC doesn't seem to have any) and ere on the side of the law, not personality or political associations. I am praying for both sides. Not necessarily for a victor but for no victims, namely people who are not churched who will view this as another reason to turn away from God. The stakes are higher than Earl Carter and Bishop Blake's "win". Also can anyone offer a legal response to the question of appropriate order. Thanks

  3. Here we go...Here comes the Carter bashing. Because of this court agreement, now all the GRAND OLE COGIC is in the clear. There are no homosexuals parading around and cruising at the Holy Convocation. No more pastors are stealing money. There are no preachers who are dictators and adulterers. All the pedophiles are gone. Carter is a liar and nothing he said was the truth. All those who alleged their grand old bishop is a homosexual were frauds. Blake's "close" encounter with Peter Gnomes was all innocent. "Carter is a vindictive, hateful ole geezer. Sit and be quiet Carter."

    1. There were homosexuals, adulters, & corrupt preachers in all aspects of COGIC while Carter was there...so what's your point? He's still a nasty, vindictive, soul in need of saving.

    2. See...there we go...now the man needs "saving"...

    3. And you are right...there were homosexuals adulterers etc while Carter was there (and is there mind you)...agree or disagree with his way, at least Carter tried to address these issues even on their national stage. And according to Carter many gays have sought discipleship through his ministry. I know he"s even lying about this too right?

  4. Yes we should Carter bash because he is vindictive

    2. Carter is lucky Blake didn't sue him for slander & libel.
Carter has to have this thing called: FACTS.
He never has more than "somebody said, I heard, it's been reported to me by so and so who heard"

    3. @Anonymous #2: Where have you been? Blake filed a defamation suit against Elder Carter back in December. This despite the Scriptures in I Cor, 6, where Paul clearly states a bother should not sue another brother. As Bishop, Blake displayed great Christian examples for hi over 7 millions followers, huh? Elder Carter filed a countersuit that was dismissed. According to Elder Carter, he was within God's right to sue Blake, because "Blake is not a brother".

    1. Yup, the court's decision to dismiss Elder Carter's counter-claim, kept God from being mocked. God will stop Elder Carter's flagrant ways of preaching against homosexuality, against preachers stealing money and having babies out of wedlock, BROOKS is a CROOK is A CROOK, is a CROOK...Gotta remember, just because he lacked the "necessary" facts, doesn't mean he had NO facts.

  8. It is sad that the church would lean on the world's system of "justice" 'to handle matters of dispute. This could have been handled better.Somebody got the glory...but I'm not sure it was God. Praying for the church.

  9. Can someone explain to me how Carter's counterclaim was heard before Blake's claim of defamation. It would seem to me before carter can be ruled against or even his case heard the court needs to find whether Blake's claim is valid. Maybe Jude Judy is no real judge at all, but she at least hears the claim before the counter claim.
