Is Hollywood Pleading The Case For Planned Parenthood? Should Christians Be Outraged?

Reader, the TV show Scandal on last week has caused a scandal of its own by showing Olivia Pope having an abortion on the show winter finale. Social media is still in a tizzy over last week TV show Scandal on ABC, created by Shonda Rhimes and starring Kerry Washington. What was all the fuss about, you ask? Two words: Planned Parenthood.

The above questions were asked on the David Alexander Bullock radio show, on last night. The talk show host talked about ‪#‎Scandal‬ and the issue of ‪#‎Abortion‬ and ‪#‎PlannedParenthood‬. He asked can we really think it is okay to enact having an abortion to the sound of "Silent Night?" Grotesque and appalling and intentionally offensive to all Christians.  To mix a Christian hymn--about the birth of the Christ child, no less!--with what most all Christians consider an abomination is shocking. The talk show host goes on to reminded his listening of some of the lyrics of this old beautiful Christmas song:
Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin, mother and child
Holy infant, so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories streams from Heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing,"Alleluia"
Christ the Savior is born
Christ the Savior is born
I don't watch the show Scandal, but I am at lost for words! As Christians, why are we comfortable being "Entertained" by SIN??? I briefly heard something about this earlier and wanted to say something about it. I'm so glad David Alexandra Bullock did. Great talk show!

  5. Wait a minute, you have governors in this country who don't want to let refugee children from Syria here and christians are not outraged, in fact they are SILENT. Yet, we get upset over a TV show's abortion procedure while silent night is playing, a song that is theologically wrong? We care more for the unborn than we do for the children that are here. I thought I read somewhere where it says, how can you say you love me when you don't even love the ones that are with you everyday.

    1. AMEN!!! Outraged over a fictional situation on a fictional tv program!! Yet ignore a very REAL humanitarian crisis right on their doorstep. This is why Christianity is losing its power. Too many nut cases trying to control instead of love.

    2. WRONG!!! F-:))

NO need to compare any government decision, civil right ruling, or social verdict to what’s taken place here. This is just not a “fictional” SITUATION. This is a direct attempt to influence the masses through utter mockery against “life” and the “life giver”, and the devil – the prince of the air – is using the airways to curse God.

Satan used one of his very own, Shonda Rimes - a black woman, creator, head writer, executive producer of the show - to intentionally script a scene that would leave an impression of insult directed against God. It is by no accident the song SILENT NIGHT was chosen when this sinful and atrocious act was done. HOW DARE this woman defy the sacred things with her depiction of contempt against God. There should be outrage and protest from every Christian around against such blatant act ridicule.

But we know that God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Shonda Rimes and all those who taunt and scorn will be judged by that very little babe, whom Herod sought to murder…that Holy Infant so tender and mild… that Son of God who love's pure light, where Radiant beams from His holy face…They all will one day know that “Christ, the Saviour was born”…MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE… Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth…
