Are you ready? Preachers Of Atlanta Comes To Oxygen In 2016!

Reader, if you've seen all the other Preachers show, put it out your mind right now. This is how the Oxygen network described the upcoming edition:

Atlanta is the home not only to fast cars, sprawling mansions and the southern elite, but a new generation of up-and-coming preachers who are superstars of the pulpit. The third installation from the popular franchise, “Preachers of Atlanta” documents the lives of the city’s young elite mega-pastors as they focus on the daily struggles and triumphs as husbands, wives, fathers, mothers and friends, while also maintaining their duties as men and women of God.

The five preachers challenging the status quo are Pastor Corey Hambrick, Pastor Le’Andria Johnson, Pastor Canton Jones, Pastor Kimberly Jones-Pothier, and Pastor Judah Swilley.

  1. I knew it. That whole Periscope mess was a ploy to get people talking and to have high views on the show. Lord have mercy on these people. So sad

    1. God doesn't need Christians to go on a reality show to show that "we aren't perfect," they need to know that He saves. He doesn't need us to go on there to "make Him famous." Jesus is already the most famous and controversial figure to walk the earth. He needs us to preach His gospel, stand on His truth, and live it. The producers of these "Christian" reality shows are unbelievers and don't care about God being glorified or souls being saved..but about ratings, entertainment and money. There is nothing Christian about these shows but the name. Of course, Jesus name may be thrown around on these shows..but you will not hear anyone preaching His gospel, standing for holiness, preaching repentance, and warning of the coming judgment. You'll just see bad acting, bad theology, drama, dysfunction, emotionalism, playing church and another attempt to discredit Christianity and make a mockery of the true church. Unbelievers don't watch these shows convicted of their life..they are entertained by these shows and feel affirmed in their sin by this foolishness. Jesus told us to live a quiet and peaceful life..not blast your life on national tv!

    2. Um.....
I have seen one of these individuals on periscope on numerous of occasions I must say NO NO No!!! America we have to stop playing with God. We must stop making a mockery of God and what He stands for! Read your Bible and understand His Words! Some of these people want to gain the world $$$$ and loose their soul!

    1. I'm just amazed at how some pastors are called pastors when employing sinful tactics to get members. It's appalling to see. Also, some things are better left from the eyes of the public when ministry leaders are being poor examples to people they are ministering to. In a word, they smoke, drink alcohol, cuss, etc. This puts all pastors in a bad light. All are not bad. All of these are not bad. Some are and have warped ideas as to how GOD's church should be. Not just this reality show, but in life, far too many pastors are poor examples of not living the life they preach and sing about as God's representatives.

  3. Maybe it's me, but the description doesn't sound any different from the other two shows.

  6. The last thing people need to see is more pastors drinking on national television.

  7. I understand expanding your platform, but this doesn't seem like a good way to do it. In my opinion. I don't even like seeing "relevant secular" artists' on reality tv. And Ms. Johnson you ARE an extremely anointed talent. Let the music make your legacy. But who knows, this may open the door for their own family members/friends to branch out from the show.

    1. You know... I'm conflicted with her being on this show. On one hand I'm like welp if we (the church) had some influence left, it's gone. On the other hand I'm like you know the public and the private both fall short. And while we have seen her do it publicly a couple times, no one sees us do it daily. It's encouraging to see how God loves us in our m-e-s-s.

  9. Why Lord...I mean I'm already shaking my head with the casting of LeAndria Johnson...she says she takes it to the street no ma'am she becomes the streets. I know there are different styles of preaching and representing God's word but I just can't get with her and her style. Jesus sat around the drunks He didn't become drunk.
