Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: If ISIS Represents Islam, Then The KKK Represents Christianity!


Reader's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has seemly upset some Christians on my timeline by stating a simple fact and a valid point that no one wants to hear. That the Klan claimed to be Christians, as do other extremists. While speaking to MSNBC’s Morning Joe, the retired NBA star said viewing ISIS as representing Islam would be like viewing the Ku Klux Klan as representing Christianity. Both groups derived their ideologies from religion, but neither can be said to make a claim for the vast majority of people within them. What Kareem is simply saying is there are extremists in all religions. Islam/ Muslims are not all terrorists. Historically all people have done things in the name of religion. Do you agree? Video clip here:
