Rest In Power Mr. Julian Bond, And Thank You For Being A Force For Change.

Readers, we lost a wonderful, compassionate man with the passing of Julian Bond. He fought for the civil rights of all minorities. I always respected Mr. Bond's commitment to the cause of justice and his willingness to be on the front line of the battle. Take your rest sir your purpose down here has been completed.

  1. I remember when, as a student, Mr. Bond came to campus after being denied the seat he had been elected to in the Georgia legislature. Since then I had followed, and had a chance to meet, this humble, brilliant and courageous man. His mind will be missed.

  2. Seems like all the great ones have gone. The masters of the civil rights movement are now angels in heaven. Question is, What will the new generation do? What legacy are we leaving? Well done, Sleep in Sweet Peace.

  3. Mr. Bond was probably one of the true last Civil rights leaders left. Black America today has no Civil Rights leaders or Movement. Sharpton, Jackson, current NAACP, Urban League, all have been bought out by white corporate america.
