Jesus Take The Wheel: Pastor Preaching About Drake & Meek Mill During Sunday Morning Service.

Readers, according to some on social media, even men of the cloth are making sure the Meek Mill vs. Drake feud remains as fervent as ever. One pastor brilliantly this morning inserted both men into the biblical narrative, to the obvious joy of all in attendance.

I know you really can’t get the full context and meaning of the sermon from a 17-second clip, but for some the idea of using The Drake and Meek Mill situation as a teaching point of reference to make the Word understandable, is not acceptable.

  1. I just watched the clip and I didn't see anything out of order. Pastor Browning didn't put too much time on the subject of Meek Mill and Drake.

Miss Ann, please point out where it's unacceptable if you don't mind ;)

    1. Come on Mike, Ms. Ann didn't say that. If you reread the paragraph then you can see where she was quoting the source.

    2. I didn't say that she did, Born To Win. However, if one is going to quote a source, the use of quotation marks can make a huge difference. ;)

  3. Ms. Ann, at least he is relating to his congregation. The old people in the church like what the hell is passa (pastor) talking bout? Lol

  4. In MY OPINION, this is not a good look for the church to have a snippet of a so-called rap beef being used in church.IJS.

  5. Ms. Ann, is this an AME church? My pastors preach like this all the time. Very down to earth and relatable. One of the many reasons I attend. The set-up also looks exactly like the one I attend as well. Sad to see that people jumped to conclusions about the pastor instead of seeing that it's a church that isn't "outdated".

  6. I use to be a member of this church a LONG TIME AGO.

No real opinion from me. Just an FYI.

  7. It's funny how when we try to reach the next generation or so, we seem to be vilified but when we don't we are vilified. The reason many church's are dying on the vine is because they forget that" church-speak" is not the same as "heart-speak" . Did not Jesus use parable and stories to give heavenly perspectives. Just because he uses HIP-HOP , please !!! How many under 30 are in your congregation not being able to connect. Jesus will always meet you where you are. He came to us, not us going to him.
