Dr.Ricky Dillard Want To Know Should An Unmarried Woman Become A Bishop??

Readers, the Bible does speak of the Bishop in a way that it must be a man, at least the KJV does. Now, these newer versions leave out most of what the KJV originally interpreted. Anyhow, Dr.Ricky Dillard may be known for being an outspoken renowned choral master....but once again the veteran recording artist is asking about unmarried women place in the church. Dr. Dillard, 50, took to his social media page yesterday to invite people to participate in the conversation about a woman place in leadership positions within the church with the following questions:
Should an unmarried woman become a bishop? Should any woman? Does it matter? Is it a sin? Is it possible this passage was written in a misogynistic era? What say ye?
 Thoughts?

  1. I see...this is the third blog in a row to get folks to stir in in the"controversial" conversation about women in leadership role in the church. FIRST, giving honor to God who is the head of my life, I say "The LORD GOD is not misogynistic GOD." - anyone who knows the BIBLE would only conclude this as FACT. For those who don't know the Bible, they are apt to fall for a LIE." SECOND, I say the LORD provide answers TO RICKY and ABOUT RICKY in the BOOK of TIMOTHY. TO RICKY: I advise others to test these silly questions against I Tim 3:1-7 and see if any unmarried single women prescribes to these qualifications. I THINK THESE verses are QUITE CLEAR. SECOND ABOUT RICKY: 1 Timothy 6:4 "he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions' AND ABOUT RICKY (his actions here): 2 Timothy 2:23 "But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels." It amazes me how the LORD works, he addresses and answers in one little Book of His WORD, what He knew in eternity past would be an "issue" in the blackened hearts of men and women. Please...to the writer this blog and all who reads it, Don't fall for the OKIE DOKE. Last week it was Deitrick. This week it's RICKY.

    1. WATCH out for people like "TRICKY" Ricky. and Dei"TRICK". NOTICE the commonality "TRICK". I sense some evil synergy with these two.

    2. Anonymous you must be a troll? Why else would you be keeping tracks on what Ms. Ann is posting. The 3rd post really?

    3. Not a troll. Trolls don't quote the truth from the Bible. I mean its quite onviois the similarly the three posts. By the way you know you are just as anonymous as anyone else hear on the internet even though you identify with "Marsha". I had a lot more to say biblically than just the three posts. Point is we need to ne careful not to stir up controversy.

  4. Is there a shortage of Bishops in the U.S. that I didn't know about?

Seems like every week there is another celebration of some body becoming a Bishop.

And it's not just a congratulations and a hand shake.
It's an entire ceremony with robes, tassels & ring kissing.

Judging by all the people on Facebook, the Internet & TBN who call themselves Bishop, I don't think we need another One for a couple of years.

    1. I agree. Just another form and fashion....and the sad part is we "Protestant" Church have conform back to Roman Catholic church.

    2. There's no shortages... Just folks wanting to say they were the first to do something that has no biblical authority... I was just reading the Book of Acts and I couldn't find one female apostle (which is today's bishops)

    3. I agree with you three. I'm a Pentecostal. Over the years, I've seen how COGIC, has copied a lot of the stylings and ways of the Catholic. Now it's crept over into the COOLJC. The chains crossing the chest into the pockets, the caps, the staffs, etc.. is sickening. As it relates to women bishops, I noticed that Dr. Jazz calls herself a "Daughter of Thunder"! No, Sis. Jazz, it's Son's of Thunder. Jesus gave that name to James and John, not a female. Lord what will they think of next.
