More Americans Say That You Can Be Good Without God?

Image
Reader for the first time, a majority of Americans — 56 percent — say it is possible to be a good person without a religious belief. So says new Pew Research Center data drawn from two polls conducted among about 5,000 American adults in June and July. “God is not a prerequisite for good values and morality,” Greg Smith, Pew’s associate director of research, said in a post about the findings. ” … [T]he public’s increased rejection of the idea that belief in God is necessary for morality is due, in large part, to the spike in the share of Americans who are religious ‘nones.

Happy Mothers Day: Why We Don't Need "Women's" Ministry!

Lord have mercy, I kind of agree with some of this article. But on the other hand this article is kind of offensive to all praying, teaching, and ministering women's ministries.

Sarah Bessey: Please stop treating women's ministry like a Safe Club for the Little Ladies to Play Church.

  1. I wish more churches would understand WE ARE MORE THAN PLAYING CHURCH.....WE ARE WOMEN ON a MISSION..

  2. Lord Jesus this really resonates with me. Let's start conversations on how the same message can be transferred to ALL ministries in the church not just women ministry. You know I don't bake cupcakes so with all my extra time I'll give this much prayer and ponder. Let's get real!

  3. What about Titus 2:3-5? That sounds like a women's ministry to me. It's the right kind of women's ministry. It isn't a program. It's a more mature Christian woman discipling a less mature Christian woman that they may grow into the woman of God that He intends them to be.

  4. I share this young lady's point of view. Whenever I suggest this to pastors it is like they are either offended or intimidated. They can't do everything fron the pulpit and Bible Study night does not allow for interaction. EVERY church should have a women's ministry that MINISTERS to married, single, divorced, widowed, those with children and the childless. Classes dealing with 'Overcoming Rejection', 'Father Hunger', 'Abortion's Aftermath', 'Soul Ties', 'Forgiveness', 'Love is a Choice' dealing with codependent relationships, 'Comfort for the Wounded Spirit', 'The Wounded Spirit' dealing with childhood victims of sexual abuse and Deliverance for Children and Teens which deals with habits that we develop as children based on what we are exposed to (and these are just for starters). These are things that I share with young ladies that I mentor one on one as well as how to pray, real praise & worship and trusting God for real.
