Tyler Perry's Son Was Made A Part Of The Gospel Yesterday!

Lord, have mercy folks are taking Tyler Perry to task for building his own private church to have his son's christening in. Tyler Perry posted the following message to his Facebook page:
These pictures were from our son’s christening yesterday. Christening him in the gospel.

I had this church built in my backyard. It's almost a direct replica of the one my Mother grew up in. It was in her honor. I know she was with us in spirit. Thank you to all our family and friends for joining us.

  1. This is what happens when someone has more money than they know what to do with.

    1. Cop I agree! If this is who we have become. I can only say shame, shame, shame.

  2. This reminds me of a passage in the Bible in Judges 17, where a man named Micah made his own temple and hired his own priest. In those days Israel had no king and everyone did as they saw fit. There is nothing new under the sun.

  3. Weird...just weird. So, what will he do with the building afterwards??

    2. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob admonishes the children of God to build altars, before the Lord. I am on fire for the Lord God.

  4. Wow. Most celebs build ginormous houses with bowling alleys ; Theaters; And Golf Courses. Tyler Perry builds a replica of the Church his mother worshipped in. Class Act. Not to say he doesn't have these other things....I don't know....

  5. It would have been impressive, if he had this church built and then Married the mother on Valentine's Day in the church.

Still it's a waste of money only a few people can afford.
But he would have made a huge statement for marriage & families.

  6. Haters!!! "It's hard being big when little got you" Congratulations Mr. Perry, may you and your family continue to enjoy the new addition to your family and all the blessings and prosperity you created with your gift. Folks gone always feel like you're wasting money if they don't agree on how you spend it. Oh well, Hallejuyer!!!

  7. He has the right to build a chapel in his backyard! Why is someone finding fault with that? I hope he uses it regularly. I also pray that he finds healing and peace within those walls and, eventually, marries the mother of his child. Healing and deliverance comes in stages and none of us knows God's order or timing for someone else's life. Instead of criticizing or judging, we would do each other a favor and blessings would attend us if we would just pray that God's will be done.
