A group of Michigan pastors, working under the moniker of "No Gay Civil Right," has declared that they will not comply with any LGBT-inclusive nondiscrimination law that might pass in their state. Pastor Stay Swimp activist/preacher, explains it like so: "Let there be no doubt that, if you should decide to go forward with this grave injustice, I, every born again believer I know, as well as every pastor you see here today, shall disobey your unjust law,” continued Swimp at the outdoor press conference ( see video here ) . “Here we stand, Black and White together, ready to go to jail!"

The pope was addressing the plenary assembly of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, which gathered at the Vatican to discuss “Evolving Concepts of Nature.” “When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so,” Francis said.  “He created human beings and let them develop according to the internal laws that he gave to each one so they would reach their fulfillment.”

Remember a couple of years ago when a former imperial wizard of the Ku Klux Klan was ordained a minister in, one of the nation's largest African-American denominations?   Wel l, according to online sources,   Brother Johnny Lee Clary has died. Facebook: Mr. Clary was ordained a minister in the 6 million-member Church of God in Christ (COGIC) during a service led by Bishop George McKinney, pastor of St. Stephen's Cathedral Church of God in Christ in San Diego and a member of COGIC's 12-member general board. Clary, who is based in Oklahoma, will serve as an evangelist under McKinney's oversight, and his ministry will emphasize racial reconciliation. RIP Mr. Clary!

And producer of The James Fortune Show  arrested Friday, for assaulting Cheryl Fortune, his wife. According to the rumors, and staffers in the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office, Fortune was arrested and released on a $20,000 bond. He was charged with aggravated assault to a family member.  You may remember in 2012, James Fortune was accused in a civil lawsuit of abusing his 4 year old stepson in 2001, by putting him in scalding hot water. New Creation Church, a megachurch in Singapore, has rejected online claims that its founder Joseph Prince is one of the 10 richest pastors in the world. An online report claiming that Mr Joseph Prince, a founding member and senior pastor of New Creation Church, has a net worth of US$5 million ($6.4 million), has been roundly dismissed by the church's council. In a statement posted on its website on Tuesday, the council said that Mr Prince had shared with them that his net worth is "substantially lower than the US$5m that has been alleged". A lifestyle website,  richestlifestyle.com,  had put the senior pastor’s net worth at US$5 million (S$6 . 25 million) and his annual salary at US$550 million (S$687 million), and the information is attracting brickbats from the public. Although Mecklenburg County records show that foreclosure proceedings began in November 2013 and a Notice of Sale was filed Jan. 21, 2014, there have been seven Postponements of Sale, with the latest postponed from Oct. 9 to Dec. 9. New Birth Charlotte 23 months ago!  Amy Pritchard Williams, a partner at K&L Gates law fir m in Charlotte, was named as the substitute trustee. A representative from K&L Gates said the company couldn’t discuss the reasons for the postponements. County records show the church defaulted on its payments to Evangelical Christian Credit Union for a $10 million loan.
