Would You Leave Your Church For Your Fiancé's Congregation?

That's the question asked during an Iyanla's appearance on the new series Help Desk.
Renee comes to the help desk for Iyanla Vanzant's advice concerning her place of worship. She and her 14-year-old daughter is happy in their current church, and Renee believes they would continue to grow spiritually if they stayed. However, Renee is contemplating leaving to attend her fiancé's congregation as a family. Immediately, Iyanla recognizes that the problem isn't about where she worships. Is Iyanla saying it's ok to not go to church as a family? I grew up attending  worship services as a family unit and did the same with my own family. The idea of families not worshiping together seems odd to me.

  1. Renee's first needs know a lover of Christ doesn't look to Satan for answers. Oh how Satan must be laughing as he watches God's creation pathetically pursue Vanzant's every word.
