The Votes Or In, We've Decided To Keep Our Embezzling Pastor, Even Though He Has Violated Our Trust.

A church in Oklahoma has voted to give its pastor a second chance after the pastor embezzled almost $1 million from church funds. Reverend William Jones of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church was charged with wire fraud and filing a false tax return; still the majority of the congregation says Jones should stay in the pulpit.

According to the Christian Post, Jones took money from the Greater Cornerstone Community Center, a project that the church supported, “to fund his lavish lifestyle.” Jones also failed to report $400,000 in salary in 2011.

  1. Hasn't God spoken about all this in His holy word? (Ezekiel 34). God is not so blind-eyed as some of the Church organisations!

  2. Your pastor can't account for ONE "MILLION DOLLARS"!!! and the congregation voted to KEEP HIM???

Some of these pastors are untouchable because there is no accountability or over site within the church.

You can find pastors that have raped, stolen and killed. But the church members refuse to kick them out (calling them anointed).

In any other walk of life this man would have been lost his job and ordered to pay back all the money.

    Churches love their pastor.
Sure he stole money meant to benefit the community, betrayed our trust, lied to investigator, and showed no remorse for his actions.

And he BETTER NOT be asking people for tithes and offering ever again. He has enough for the entire church for a few years.

  3. Well what does the LAW have to say about this? Why is he not in jail or on his way? The fact that his brain dead followers chose to keep him doesn't surprise me, as black people have a history of protecting criminals and acting outside of their own best interest. I almost expect idiotic self-victimizing from many of us.

  4. There IS a difference between a church and a club.

  5. I know everyone deserves a "Second Chance" however this "Snake" wouldn't have a second chance to steal my money.

  6. Why isn't he in jail?
