The South Ranks The Highest In Pastors Pay!

According to a study conducted by Leadership Network and the Vanderbloemen Search Group, the highest paid pastors in the country are those who head large churches in the South. Senior pastors of the largest churches with a membership of 10,000 or more make upwards of $300,000.
Senior pastors of Southern churches with 1,000 members or more outrank those in second-place Northeast, according to the study.
 The study also found:
*32-52 percent of a large church's budget goes to salaries
 * the senior pastor's salary averages 3.4 percent of the church budget
 * 14 percent of large churches provide bonuses to the senior pastor
 * the most common raise for a senior pastor in 2014 was 3 percent. In 2013, it was 2.1 percent
 * a third of the large churches contributed 10 percent or more a year to the senior pastor's retirement plan
       * 81 percent of large churches had on-line giving.
