 The New Destiny Christian Center yesterday officially announced  what had been widely rumored that Rev. Paula White has been selected as the successor to Zachery Tim's.   Paula White will assume her duties as senior pastor during the mega church's annual New Year's Eve services on Saturday.   Article Here!  I believe with the appointment of Paula White and  all her baggage to head New Destiny  Christian Church is  proof positive that we as Christians no longer value the BIBLE good book.  We as a Christian Society have adapted Scripture to fit a changing world and society. There's no Scripture available what so ever to support the decision of this board.  God in all His wisdom said I change not.

What is Evangelism? It's simply telling others about the Gospel of Christ. Now I know most folks  think of evangelism as something that the preacher is paid to do on Sunday morning.  But of course the  Bible doesn't  teach that.  It do teach  that "EVERY" Christian has a mandate  and responsibility to evangelize were ever they go.  "Always be ready to make a defense to every one who asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you." 1 Peter 3:15 . Some of the foolishness that's taking place in our community and world today will make Christ stand up.  Alot of this foolishness have so convince me that Jesus promise to His disciples that He would come again is in fact fast approaching  sooner than we can think. The almost riot that have taken place  over a pair of shoes and the murder of a young man over a piece of candy is about the saddest thing I have heard in a long time.

Tensions between members of Friendship Baptist Church in York have escalated to the point that one of them had asked for police presence at the church on Christmas Day. Two men in brown sport coats and the word "security" on their black turtlenecks were standing outside Friendship Baptist Church Christmas morning. They identified themselves as employees of Morgan Investigation Services and said they were contracted by the church's board of elders .

I am burnt-out, dog-tired and exhausted with this discussion foolishness 'Light Skin vs. Dark Skin' with-in the black community. How in the world can we as a people make a claim to love God and at the same time hate the skin color HE preferred, favor,desire,chose  to seen us to the earth in? It's crazy and it's a slap in the face of a loving God. In researching for this article I found a very sad blog post title I Hate Being Black.   In 2009 the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion and  Public Life released a new analysis that paints a detailed religious portrait of African-Americans. The analysis finds that African-Americans are markedly more religious than the U.S. population as a whole on a variety of measures, including reporting a religious affiliation, attendance at religious services, frequency of prayer and the importance of religion in people's lives. article here!   Sometimes  I have a hard time believing we are people of faith.

According to the quote posted below Paula White is the new pastor of NDCC. Also according to Joy 105 it is true.  I went to NDCC but no more. We were very upset when we heard the announcement Sunday and no one was happy. I’m absolutely appalled by T.D. Jakes for not standing up for righteousness and saying something! At New Salem Missionary Baptist Church last Sunday a fight broke out in the church during the Communion services.    Members watched as a brawl broke out right in the middle of service and the police had to be call. The police have now launched an investigation. A couple of message boards are reporting it was the first lady and the pastor mistress who got into the fight. There are also reports that pastor Frank E Ray is known for this kinda of church foolishness.  This is not the first time that a incident like this has taken place under Ray's leadership. The fight was  between two women near the church's choir section which turned into a brawl between the two families, according to a police report. When officers arrived, only three people from the brawl were left and they're all listed as both suspects and victims. Question why won't black folks do a better job of vetting  these pastor/preachers before choosing them as leaders?

An appeal court in Santa Ana has upheld the decision of a lower court ruling in favor of Red Hill Lutheran Church of Tustin for its firing of preschool director, Sara Henry. Who was living while unmarried with her boyfriend with whom she had a child.   I think the court was correct in its ruling in favor of the church in this case.     Ms. Henry signed an agreement before she was employed by this church to live a lifestyle that was pleasing to the church and she fell to holdup her end of the agreement.

It's amazing to me that a man like Newt Gingrich who have cheated on his bedridden cancer-stricken wife. Can even be consider in the same thought and breathe as King David is beyond me.  This low life of a man served  his ill wife her divorce papers in her hospital bed.  And now "The Conservative Evangelical" circle are trying to hold him up as a "family values" candidate by comparing him to King David is just down right crazy. Every Christians know that Jesus has "Supreme Authority" and in that He don't need us. For me on a personal level this is the worst version of this song I have every heard. I don't no if my dislike for this version of "Silent Night" is solely link to my hearing  it in the night clubs growing up or what. But back in my BC days this version of Silent Night was the most played song in almost every night club in the south doing the holidays.   For some unknown reason I didn't like it then and I don't like it now. I especially don't care to here this version sung in church. I was once at a church musical during the holiday season when a group representing a well known church in the city had the nerve to sing this version. I almost threw up in my mouth. I have always embraced and loved  the Temptation music but I just can't get with this one song. It look like the hardware retail giant Lowe's has pulled its commercials from all future episodes of TLC's reality TV show "All -American Muslim" the chain said last week. Now, I am a Christian not a Muslim.  I have to say, I just don't understand why there is so much hatred for American Muslims and why would Lowe's cave in to this foolishness coming from the Conservative Right?  It's clear to me that Islam as a whole is not against America and it's values. It's the "extremists" that are in and are part of Islam that are pushing the hatred toward Americans. The group that made Lowe's bow down is The Florida Family Assocation which  has a long history of not only attacking Muslims but also President Obama, entertainment companies and the LGBT community. Shame on Lowe's!  

It look like the city of West Palm Beach Fl is not only questioning   Bishop Harold  Ray of Redemptive Life  Fellowship  Church. They also might be looking at the spending of the first lady. In an effort to prove that   4.1 million dollars federal money meant for 30 low-income homes didn't get used to line Bishop Ray  and first lady Brenda Ray pockets.  Now some folks on  A message board that I visit sometime were discussing Bishop Ray and  first lady Ray over the top lifestyle. The members on the  board mention that they had read a article that stated  the first lady had ran up a 40,000 credit-card debt on lavish cruises and high fashion. And  according to the board first lady Brenda who's a prominent preacher mostly bought jewelry, Louis Vuitton bags and Chanel clothes that she now appears unable to reimburse. Question if the bishop is found guilty of wrong doing should the first lady go down with him?  Article here!

Is cancelling Christmas on Sunday December 25  a good or bad idea? There's a debate raging online about this crazy idea of having "No Church on Christmas Day" Some Christian Churches are confused about what to do. I believe I can speak for most black churches in saying  there will be church as usual on Sunday December 25, 2011.  If you desire to come out and worship with the saints on Christmas morning  by all means the doors of our church will be open and you are welcome.  By the same token if you decide to stay home and open gifts on that morning know this  the worship service will continue with or with out you.   If you know me, you know I was raise and reared  in the construct of the black church. I am  not ashamed of it nor am I embarrassed by it. I have never heard of any church in my community cancelling church because of Christmas. This protesting  that's taking place at New Birth Church is in no way biblical.  If  I am wrong here I would like for someone to point me to the Scriptures that do support this. The only people who have the power to force Bishop Eddie Long out of his pulpit are the tithing  members of  his church. If the tithes dry up then that particular church building will cease to be. Protesting because a man won't leave a church is harmful counterproductive to me.

I guess everyone else has used the image and likeness of First Lady Michelle Obama  to sell their magazines and what not. So I reckon it's time for the church to cash in.

Vanessa Long, the wife of Bishop Eddie Long has made a decisions to exit her marriage. Ms. Long has filed for divorce and it was announced today. Bishop Eddie  Long married Vanessa Griffin in 1990. They have three children together Edward, Jared and Taylor. The lawsuit dismissals, first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, prevent the four defendants from suing Long again for the same alleged offense. The accusations made against Long by Anthony Flagg, Spencer LeGrande, Jamal Parris and Maurice Robinson alleged that the bishop used his influence, trips, gifts and jobs to coerce them into sexual relations.
