Voodoo Made Me Drown My Kids.

Why reading about the Long Island woman who admitted drowning her three young children last year, saying she believed they were victims of a voodoo attack. Made me think about my mother and her dealing with "Hoodoo/Roots".This young woman Leatrice Brewer, 28, pleaded "not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect" in the deaths on Feb. 24 last year of daughter Jewell and the girl's half-brothers, 5-year-old Michael Demesyeux and 18-month-old Innocent Demesyeux. I don't necessary believe in the voodoo part as much as I believe the young lady has a mental problem. No, one in their right mind would drown their own kids. With that been said! Let me tell you something about growing up in the deep South of Alabama were cotton was King and Voodoo/Hoodoo was practice and not as a religion. An amulet characteristic of hoodoo is the mojo, often called a mojo bag, mojo hand, conjure bag, trick bag, or Toby; this is a small sack filled with herbs, roots, coins, sometimes a lodestone, and various other objects of magical power.

If you want to put fear in an old country girl start talking about a mojo bag. Now, Georgia and Florida who's border Alabama is also known for its work of evil. It was by accident that I was introduce to "Roots"by my mom many years ago. Now my mom had visit one of such worker of evil and had hidden a mojo bag under her bed. I remember her saying something about some one trying to hurt or harm her in some kinda way. Now I am young so I don't have a clue what's going-on. So, one day I'm in her room messing with stuff and ran across the bag. Of course I pick it up and open it look inside and all I saw was grass an roots so I toss it to the floor. My mom came home and found it on the floor and wanted to no who handle it. You see that was a big mistake to put your hands on the bag. My mom said you kill the power by handle it. In other words the one who it was fix for had to do the handling of it. I remember the bag had a funny smell to it. Anyway under the plea, entered in Nassau County Criminal Court, this young lady will be confined to a psychiatric facility instead of prison. Brewer, who had numerous contacts with social workers and police over several years, told authorities she killed the children inside their home because she feared they were suffering potentially fatal effects of voodoo. Prosecutors noted separate psychiatric evaluations determined that while Brewer understood she was killing her children, she believed it was to save them and herself from the potentially fatal effects of voodoo.

  2. the american influence upon african religion is a monster. hoodoo is a selfish sport of dealings that has been an effective means of slaying the other. i concur that "it was her mind and her spirits downward decent due to many reasons we will never be able to name or know. however, voodoo is a powerful tool that can play on the mind. again this combination is a "monster". my grandmother and father were root workers. the invisible can make their presence known however, they understand their place and who has authority in which dimension (space, ethers, earth) these entities also attach themselves to others through generations; the negative and the positive are joined throughout the entire family. with his in mind and without the proper understanding of american influenced african religion one can misinterpret and fall victim to unfortunate and "evil" events.

  3. Hello there!

It is not due to American influence that satanic practices are flourishing.

Many Africans willingly have adopted those practices in the name of tribal culture and they are not imitating the Americans in doing so!

Many African religions promote all sorts of demonic practices and all disguises of satanism.

There are many tribal customs that have demonic roots as well...beware of anyone telling you that they were named after a goddess or a god...there ARE NO goddesses or gods in Heaven I assure you.

    Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!
