Each day I wake up I thank God for His new mercy, because I used up all of yesterday's supply. Webster's Dictionary defines mercy as "tenderness of heart and disposes a person to overlook injuries or to treat an offender better than he deserves." That's a picture of God's mercy toward us! David was a man who loved God very much, yet lust overcame him causing him to commit adultery, then having the woman husband killed. The reason David talked about God's mercy is because he needed so much of it! Only a person who's gut-level honest in their evaluation of themselves can say "Oh give thanks unto Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. Any time we think we're solely responsible for our success think again. Paul the greatest of the Apostles wrote: I know that in me dwelleth no good thing". It's impossible to be merciful until we've thoroughly come to terms with our won need for mercy - and learn…

How Do We Stop Our Young People From Leaving The Church?

I raised both of my children in the Church as the old folks would say. So I wasn’t surprised when a recent study by LifeWay Research—an organization affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention—found 70 percent of respondents had stopped attending church by age 23. Of those “dropouts” (as the survey called them), 58 percent noted at least one church- or pastor-related reason for leaving. The most frequently cited reasons were "church members seemed judgmental or hypocritical" and "I didn’t feel connected to the people in my church." Additionally, 52 percent said "religious, ethical, or political beliefs" contributed to their departure. A lot of young people think the church says, ‘Don't ask questions—read your Bible for the answers. Don't think—pray.’ Many young people think they are to intelligence and this teaching insults them. Some of them believe the church creates prejudices, forcing them to judge people because they don't …

Living Victoriously

Are you tired of living in defeat? Then get into God's Word and get it into you! A Scripture a day keeps the devil away is a cute slogan but it'll take a lot more than that! God's Word is like medicine. You don't have to understand how it works, just keep taking it! Some thing amazing happens when you soak yourself in the Scriptures. Temptation loses its power and overcoming strength replaces it. And each time a Scripture explodes in your understanding your hungry for God's Word increases. That means reading your Bible even when you don't feel like it or have time to or you don't seem to be getting much out of it. God says "As the rain and snow come down from heaven and stay upon the ground to water the earth and cause the grain to grow and to produce seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry so also is My always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to. Bathe your mind in God's Word. Let it flow over you until ev…

Thou Shall Not Hate!

The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church web site has this on it's web page: The church has worked for “desegregation, racial harmony, fair wages, women’s rights and gay rights” since the 1950s. Current ministries involve emergency aid for the needy, school tutoring and support for the homeless, as well as a cafe that provides a gathering place for gay and lesbian high-schoolers. The man accused of the shooting Sunday morning was described by his neighbors as a helpful and kind man, but one who had issues with Christianity. “He had his own sense of belief about religion said neighbor Karen Massey. According to Massey, [Jim] Adkisson talked frequently about his parents who “made him go to church all his life . . . he was forced to do that.” The shotgun-wielding suspect in Sunday’s mass shooting was motivated by a hatred of “the liberal movement, Jim D. Adkisson, 58, of Powell wrote a four-page letter in which he stated his hatred of the liberal movement…

Having What It Takes To Succeed!

To succeed at anything there are 4 things you must have: (1). Morals: What are you willing to do in order to get where you're trying to go? (2). Methods: Your methods are your road map. A goal without a plan is like a road to nowhere.(3). Means: When God gives you a vision look for His provision. If you can't find it either your timing is off or what you want differs from what God wants for you.(4). Management: Jesus said to whom much is given of him shall much be required. Some people think it's over when God gives it to you. No it's just beginning! And guess what your biggest management challenge will be? Yourself! That's why the Psalmist prayed, "Order my steps in thy word."

When Christian Women Say Stupid Things.

Sherri Shepherd is a sister who needs to watch what she says and be mindful of what comes out of her mouth. She is trying to be a funny comedian who's a Christian Woman but, it's not working for me. She's one of the co-hosts of The View on ABC. I saw this interview were she was described as being a practical Christian woman who allows her faith to be who she is at all times. I don't think that comedy and God go together that's my personal opinion. This is one of the quotes from Sherri: "Oh, sometimes I say, “Lord, Juanita Bynum or Joyce Myers would be so good at this table. They could lay hands on Barbara Walters and get her saved.” Read the rest of the interview here.........I am sorry but sometimes the media can make you look like a fool or you can do it too your self.

You know that we keep no secrets from God? Confession is not telling God what we did. He already knows. Confession is simply agreeing with God that our acts were wrong.... How can God heals what we deny? How can God grant us pardon when we won't admit our guilt? The dictionary defines the word "guilt" as a feeling of responsibility or remorse for some offense crime wrong etc., Whether real or imagined. We are all guilty of telling God one thing then doing another.

Fear Hurts Us All.

I have always loved Will & Grace and thought it was one funny show. I thought it was great acting even doth they were role playing. Too me this show proves that if you reinforce something long enough whether it be positive or negative it will impact you in some form or another.
I believe because of shows like Will & Grace, Six feet under and others shows make it possible for young people to be more accepting of gay people and their lifestyles. Because of greater exposure to gay people than what my generations had makes it more acceptable. Fewer gays are in the closet and the average age for "coming out" is now 16, down from the mid-20s in the 1970s.

Knowing someone who is openly gay or lesbian is the single biggest predictor of tolerance on same-sex marriage. And if you don't personally know someone who's gay, you'll find plenty of gay characters and culture on TV. Recent research by a professor of communications at the University of Min…

Principles To Live By.

God created man to share His image and authority.
God is more interested in relationship than in rules and traditions.
Everything God created is governed by principles.
Fulfillment of purpose requires obeying God's principles.
Principles contain these characteristics: Principles are permanent, Principle never change, Principles work anywhere, Principles protect the product, Principles can never be broken, Principles when violated produce destruction and Principles contain inherent judgment.
God's Word contains the principles that govern men and women. Disobeying God's commandments brings natural and spiritual consequences.

Black In America!

The documentary Black In America in which I watched both nights and would rate it a C- and here's why. I don't for one minute think the story of the Black experience in America can be made without discussing the generational effects of slavery, Jim Crow, and White privilege. The loss of culture, loss of language, inability to claim your name much less your own land, the separation of families, being prohibited to marry, rape, the emasculation of Black men, and the multitude of atrocities that could comprise a set of encyclopedias bring reason and links to the present day. White privilege cannot be denied its culpability. I understand what White people have to say about this topic. It implies one’s success was not solely due hard work and tenacity. That something as simple as lack of melanin helped in one’s accretion of achievements can damage the ego, but it is a truth that must be spoken. The problems of today are not manufactured by rap music, biological iniquiti…

Prince Is Not A Christain!

Prince, like Little Richard, was born a Seventh-day Adventist, and his music always has reflected a struggle between the sacred and the profane. In becoming a Jehovah’s Witness, Prince has committed himself to a demanding and countercultural faith. Witnesses place a strong emphasis on racial equality; decline to celebrate Christmas and Easter, which they consider pagan holidays (they reject the doctrine of the Trinity for similar reasons); reject military service as a sin of nationalism; and are forbidden to receive blood transfusions (because of biblical prohibitions about eating animals’ blood).
No publication has gone into any depth about what prompted Prince to become a Jehovah’s Witness. Earlier reports that his conversion resulted from a long-standing friendship with Larry Graham. (Graham is the former bassist for Sly and the Family Stone and founder of his own band, Graham Central Station.) He gave praise and thanks to Jehovah and thanked Larry Graham among his “spiritual ment…

Prayer Snares

In some churches when it's prayer time, the same people repeat the same prayers and everybody concludes well that's covered. Stop! what if your prayers don't line up with God's will? John writes: He will listen....whenever we line with His will. Theres a big difference between asking in line with God's will and seeing God as some kind of genie that comes out of a bottle to grant you every wish. Many prayers reflect our will more than God's. For example: The trivial We pray for good weather for our weekend outing when Gods' got a bigger agenda. Self-centered: Your husband is in the army and his unit is being ship to Iraq you pray to God that your husband don't go. Come on he's a soldier. God promises protection not immunity and comfort. The controlling: Jesus tells us don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. Why ask God to make people conform to your wishes when He don't even force them to conform to His? Je…

You Can't Go To Heaven During Good Works!

Have you heard about Heaven? No! not the one were you get in for doing good. O yes there are people who still believe that you can get to heaven by doing good works. We can do all the good works in the world (and its nothing wrong with that ) but, if we don't pick Christ up along life's way we want be entering the biblical heaven gates. The sense that we will live forever somewhere has shaped every civilization in history. In the pyramids of Egypt the embalmed bodies had maps placed beside them as guides to the future world. Heaven is not a myth, it's a magnet that pulls us in the direction of home. A home which is describe as "better by far" Child of God no matter how tough life gets keep your eyes on the heavenly shore draw strength each day from God and you'll make it. July 25 2008. Be Bless!

Is This Satire?

There’s no really satire in the drawing - just a pictorial declaration of a handful of literal facts about the McCains. In the picture Senator McCain leans on a walker while Cindy clutches an armful of prescription pill bottles. A portrait of George W Bush rests over a fireplace, in which the U.S. Constitution is burning. Seriously where’s the satire? John is old, Cindy was once a pill-popper, and a McCain presidency does smack of Bush-like Constitutional folly.

Marvin Sapp's Album Hits Gold Status

Just like O Happy Day this song is crossing over in a big way. Kudos to
Marvin Sapp for his continual success as his CD THIRSTY is certified Gold and his hit single “Never Would Have Made It” lands in the #1 position on the Urban AC Chart according to Nielsen reporting. “Never Would Have Made It” becomes the first gospel song to hit the top urban AC position since Yolanda Adams’ Open My Heart. The lyric of this song forces you to acknowledge Jesus and with out Him you couldn't made it. In addition to being #1 at Urban AC, “Never Would Have Made It” has spent a remarkable 42 weeks as the #1 song at gospel radio and is also the top selling gospel ringtone and ringback. Additionally, THIRSTY has been the #1 CD on the gospel sales chart for a total of 27 weeks. “I am happy, humbled and just overwhelmed by the response to this song,” says Sapp. “At some point, everyone has had a Never Would Have Made It moment and I believe that is why the song is connecting …

Refuse To Quit!

Storms come for a reason. They also come for a season. Discover the reason and grow wiser. Outlast the season and grow stronger-but never quit! I like Chuck Swindoll teaching in a article he stated somebody needs to address the other side of Christian life, if for no other reason than to uphold reality. We need to be told that difficulty and pressure are part of the course. It don't matter how much Biblical input, deeper life conference or super-victory seminars none will exempt you from struggle. God never promise a bubble of protection if you don't believe this ask Job, Joseph,Daniel and Paul. Perseverance is almost for gotten in this generation of God wants me rich and it can't be God if I am going through. So hang on in there Don't Quit! July 23 2008. I been in the Strom Too Long. The Mighty Clouds Of Joy

Let's Get Real

People listen to our one-sided testimonies of success without failure- and become discouraged! They think that while they struggle we, have it all together. That's because we falsified the records and failed to tell the whole truth. God help us! Our message is, we were saved by grace,, we are being saved by grace, and we will be saved by grace. You remember it was after David failed miserably with Bathsheba that mercy rewrote his life and enabled him to write his greatest Psalms the ones we all find comfort and healing in. It was after Paul filled jails and graves with believers that he wrote, "I owe a great debt" then went on to impact the whole world with the Gospel. Question? Do you sometimes just want to quit? Yes! I do too but, I have to remember it's not about me and keep it moving. July 23 2008 Be Bless!

John McCain Get's 1,930 A Month From Social Security.

I need some help understanding something, Question: Is it normal for someone to get $1,930 a month from Social Security? I thought it would have been less. If that's how much seniors get from social security, then I should be able to live comfortable after I retire. You know McCain had this to say about social security at a town-hall meeting . “I’m receiving benefits,” McCain told campaign reporters, but added, “the system is broken.”In 2007, he received benefits of $23,157 from Social Security, approximately $1,930 a month. The maximum monthly benefit under Social Security is $2,185. Social Security benefits are determined by age at retirement. McCain, who is 71, has received benefits since he was 65. He goes on to say Americans have got to understand that we are paying present-day retirees with the taxes paid by young workers … and that’s a disgrace.”
My understanding is you don't have to accept Social Security. In 2006, McCain’s wife Cindy earned $6 million, and …

When Jesus Comes.

When Christ enters your life it will be some noised in the house. This is what I mean by that statement: He'll rearrange things! Your well-order existence will probably get turned upside down. One thing's for sure, when you meet Jesus you'll never be the same again. When He showed up at my house it ain't the same. I don't do the things that I did before I came into the knowledge of Christ. When you get to Jesus you want be disappointed. "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. All Christ asks of us today is the humility to acknowledge your need of Him and the faith to reach for and accept what He offers us. July 22 2008.

Bono A Man With A Heart.

In case you didn't know BONO has done more for AIDS than any one in the US. Celebrities are easy to criticize for lacking genuine motivations and sincerity but there's one person that has reached an international stage and that's BONO. Other than Mother Teresa no one else can claim genuine sincerity. Can any of us truly do a work of charity out of a pure heart? Bono certainly does not shy away from admitting that he is using his rock star status to get into important people’s faces about international problems. It's great to see some one become so homily for the poor. Bono made a statement once that the laws of the United States should be in line with what he believes are God’s laws: justice and equality. Last time I checked there were more like 10 laws and the concept of loving your neighbor. Bono said to do this the United States should tithe an additional one percent of the national budget towards international aid. Bono says he was amazed when he first go…

Turn Your Pain Into Purpose.

You can tell how strong you are, by what it takes to discourage you! Sometimes our discouragement has nothing to do with what God does or doesn't do and everything to do with our mistaken assumptions of how we think things should turn out. When we try to second guess God we're usually wrong because He says, "I don't think the way you think." God always has a plan and His timing is perfect. The Red Cross was birthed from the pain of Henri Durant. The pain that I am going through today I am looking for purpose in it.

White House Make A Mistake.

The media said that they were surprise Saturday morning when the White House distributed an article by Reuters that offered an endorsement of Senator Barack Obama’s Iraq policy by the leader of Iraq. The headline ran over a story about an interview of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki in the German magazine Der Spiegel, in which he expressed support for the senator’s plan to withdraw American combat brigades from Iraq over the next 16 months. Mr. Maliki told a Reuters reporter “That, he think that would be the right time frame for a withdrawal, with the possibility of slight changes.” Turns out it was a mistake by the White House clipping service, which had intended to distribute it internally but instead sent it to thousands signed up to receive the administration’s press releases, transcripts, statements and other documents, drawing attention to an interview that might otherwise have received less. The timing compounded the mistake. It came a day after the White House a…

Lets Talk About The Issues.

This was one of those moment, even if you're not a supporter of Sen. Barack Obama. Sen. Obama was on Larry King Live Tuesday night, and Larry asked about The New Yorker magazine cover. When I first saw the magazine cover showing Michelle and Barack standing face-to-face wearing hippie and military uniforms I thought come on. So Larry King ask Obama about what he thought about it this was Obama response: are those your real issues, Larry? CNN? Now! that's what I am talking about. Let's start talking about the issues thats facing America like people losing their homes, high gas prices ,health insurance, unemployment, high crime ,and high interest rates. Not all this foolishness that don't matter any way The way to go Obama. Here's the clip........

Have All Sinners Died?

No! because I am sitting at my computer right now. I confess that I am a sinner who is saved by Grace and that Grace is Christ. I ask that question because I don't understand why the message that sin keeps us from God. And the message is not getting out. So, if sin is not preached against from the pulpit on Sunday morning do that mean its no longer in the world ? You know we live in a culture where the concept of sin is the violation of the ten commandments. Even then we tend to think of murder and adultery as the "major" sins compared with lying, cursing or idolatry. We cannot escape our failure to be righteous in our own strength. This is by God's design, because only when we understand our weakness will we consider relying on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus. God wants us to recognize our sins even us who have not murdered or committed adultery but have lied or worshiped idols like money. Sin in any form distance us from God. Question? Do Sin need to be address f…

Take Control Of Your Time.

Do you believe that one day we will have to give and account of how we spent our time down here on earth? As a Christian I believe I will. If you look at Jesus life He never wasted time on things that did not lean toward Kingdom building. Our priorities determine how we spend our time. Once we realize that we can have certain thing but not everything it will help us choose which is more important. If we knew what our purpose and God given talent were we would spend a lot more time focusing on that and producing fruit for the Kingdom. I am looking back now wondering how I got so off course. For the most part I didn't have a relationship with Christ therefore, I didn't spend my time wisely. In our youth is when we wasted the most valuable time and for me it was doing this time. Just to think I won't be able to say I didn't have enough time to do that work .Christ already knows how much time I needed for the work he sent me to do but, it was I who didn'…

Stay In Your Strength Zone.

Do you know what your strength zone is? You know people don't pay for average, they try to avoid it. Here are some suggestions First: talk to God after all who knows the product better than the manufacturer? Second: Trial and error remember we learn from failure. Third: Counsel of others, The way of a fool seems right to him but a wise man listens to advice. In other words you don't know every thing.

Are You Generous?

We say that if we ever have a lot of money we'll become generous. Who are we kidding! Prosperity has little to do with generosity. The average personal income in the State of Mississippi is the second lowest in the United States yet that State is ranked 6th in charitable giving. By contrast New Hampshire is ranked 6th in average personal income but you guess it they rank last in charitable giving. So a big income don't mean you have a big heart. In reality prosperity could make us less likely to give. If you desire to become a more generous person don't wait for your income to change, change your heat! Look for a reason to give. Question: What are you doing for others? How you answer that question is the measure of your generosity.

The "Truth" BET It's A Little Late.

August 15 more than a week before the Democratic Convention Black Entertainment Television announced that they would be adding a new weekly political talk show. The show will use a mix of investigative reporting and one-on-one interviews with experts to review the week's events and examine exactly what the top headlines mean for the Black Community. They're also planning to cover both the Democratic and Republican conventions -- with more emphasis on the Democratic one: They'll broadcast different specials each night, focusing on topics such as Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream Speech" (whose 45th anniversary coincides with Obama's acceptance speech) and the disenfranchisement of ex-convicts. Question: Why did it take BET this long to realize that Black America has a political interests also?

Obama Sell Magazines.

Has Obama generated all this publicity because he's black or because he's The Democratic nominee for president?
Barack Obama is going to Iraq in a few weeks and the trip will, of course have all of the media trying to get on board to interview Obama. You got all four major media outlet and most of the major newspapers and magazines also wanting some of the action. So, why all the excitement ? When John McCain toured in the war zone it wasn't hardly mention on the evening news. I read that network newscasts have already given Obama 114 minutes of coverage since June, to McCain's 48, according to some study. Obama has been on the front of Rolling Stone for the second time this year, and the cover of Us Weekly (both of which are owned by the company of a prominent Obama supporter, Jann S. Wenner) Those issues were among the best-selling magazines of the year. The deputy editor of Men's Vogue said that Obama what's called an interest driver. So, i…

In Desperate Times.

How come when someone speaks to God we say, "They're praying" but when they claim that God speaks to them we say "They're flaky?" Has God suddenly stopped speaking to His children? Would you stop speaking to yours? One thing I have learned is to here from God you must be receptive and sometimes desperate. I believe God can guide our thoughts without sound or images. Remember when Samuel was a boy how God spoke to him in the temple but Samuel didn't no it was God. Until Eli help him recognize it. But when he did his life changed dramatically and ours will also.

Breaking Down Of The Family.

My daughter who's a social worker an on some occasions has to appear in court with some of her clients. She talks about how the judge determine their eligibility for custody of their children. Most of them are young Black Women. She mention how some women come in handcuffed to other women dressed in prison uniforms and it's a sad thing too see. During my growing up years I didn't no of any girl or woman in prison. And if they went to prison it was because of other than drugs. It's so different today. According to a recent Justice Department report on America's jail population, women make up about 10 percent of the America's inmates. There are now more women than ever serving time, and black women make up a disproportionate number of those women. Then there's the poverty and racial stereotyping. More than one out of three black women jailed did not complete high school, were unemployed, or had incomes below the poverty level at the time of …

Black America Stop Complaining!

I posted this because I am tired of us complaining about every thing. Where are the positive and up lifting bloggers? Why aren't we encouraging each other instead of tearing down each other. Blogging is a great way of putting out great information. Why are we striving on all the negative? We have become just what we say we don't like about the main media. We have a choice to spin somethings in a brighter light but we pick the most hateful light of all and use it. My question is Why? I am small time but I can see a trend forming and it's not good. We need to stop this hatefulness before it gets out of hand.

Stop complaining the hardest people in the world to help are complainers. You can't satisfy them, but they won't let you stop trying, so you end up feeling trapped. Once you earn a reputation as a complainer, people will avoid you like the plague. Remember that old phrase "attitudes just don't happen you choose them? Complaining is usually self-ce…

Rev. Jessie Jackson.

This is my opinion about what Rev. Jackson said about Obama. I agree the comments were bad and he did not say them on purpose to hurt Obama . When in fact he didn’t no that he was being miked. We all say things in private that we would never, ever say in public. This is not to excuse the comments themselves, but it is a different issue than if they were intended to be heard publicly. Could there be some issues of jealousy? Yes/No who knows. A lot of people in the black community perceive Obama’s messages on ‘personal responsibility’ and fatherhood, the same way Rev. Jackson did with some questions. For Rev. Jackson who have been working to address structural injustice and racism for decades. Why can't Black America except Rev. Jackson on his merits to the community instead on that one comment? Some Black Bloggers are giving Rev. Jackson a hard time about that one comments. Then with the next stroke of the pen attacking Obama saying he's pandering to Black America …

No Such Thing As An Atheists.

I was reading on The Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life's monumental Survey. It found that 92 percent of Americans believe in God or a universal spirit, with 71 percent of those surveyed saying they were “absolutely certain” on this score. Curiously, more than one fifth — 21 percent — of those who called themselves atheists said they believed in God while eight percent expressed absolute certainty about this state of affairs. U.S. atheists must be confused. The definition of atheism is the denial of the existence of God or gods. How can you claim ignorance about the existence of God but believe in God? Seventeen percent are absolutely certain, 23 percent fairly certain and 15 percent are less certain. When asked whether they pray, 21 percent of atheists and 56 percent of agnostics said they did. In fact, a small percentage of atheists said that they received definite answers to prayer at least once a week. Is it just cultural cool too call your self and Atheist …

Some Things Are Just Wrong.

I like A&E's documentary series Intervention. In one episode there was this alcoholic whose name is Pam. The producers of the show allow her to drive knowing that she was intoxicated. As Pam made her way to the front door — stopping first at the refrigerator to take a swig of vodka for the road you could hear a producer for the show speak up. You have had a lot to drink,” the voice from off camera said. “Do you want one of us to drive?” Pam was loud “No, I can drive. I can drive,” she mumbled. She then got into her car, managed to get out of the parking lot and drove off. The camera crew followed, filming her as she tried to keep her car between the lines. My question is what happens if she kills someone? Could A&E be held responsible for the accident? Could they said it would have happen any way we was just filming it? But really its a moral question. Some times I wonder were these people head is at when they are filming some of this stuff. Do they really c…

What Have Nas Done For The Black Community?

Rapper Nas made a statement about the comment Rev. Jackson made. "All you old n---as, time is up. We heard your voice, we saw your marching, we heard your sermons. We don't wanna hear that sh-t no more. It's a new day. It's a new voice. I'm here now. We don't need Jesse" I am sorry I don't agree with that statement at all. Rev. Jackson has done a great work within the black community and continue to do so. My question is what have you done to make that claim that you got this? Rev. Jackson made a mistake and he apologized for it and Obama excepted it. Rev. Jackson has done a great work in the black community and that can not be taken away by a slip of the tongue. My problem with the article is how you going to say he's too old. Wisdom comes with age and Rev. Jackson do have wisdom. We all have/will make mistakes and will continue to do so if we live. So don't be to quick to throw Rev. Jackson out to pasture because he said somet…

America Don't Love Her People.

These are the trailers that our beloved government gave to her citizens after hurricane Katrina. Check this out....formaldehyde.
A leading U.S. trailer manufacturer failed to disclose to Hurricane Katrina evacuees or the government its internal findings that formaldehyde in some units exceeded a federal health standard by as much as 45 times in 2006, its chairman acknowledged to Congress yesterday. Jim Shea, chairman of Gulf Stream Coach, which built 50,000 trailers for the Federal Emergency Management Agency for $520 million, said his company decided that its results were "irrelevant information" because FEMA already knew about high formaldehyde levels. The agency and the company were working together to improve ventilation, he said, and FEMA later turned down company offers to conduct more tests. In hindsight Gulf Stream should have shared information from its sampling, Shea said. "Anything that would have been helpful to public health in any kind of way with this i…

Too Many Bibles.

There are literally hundreds of English versions of the Christian Bible on the market, ranging from the traditional to the trendy. There's a woman Bible a Bible for dads another one for brides a teen Bible... You get the Old and New Testament in any type of material. You can download them as MP3 files onto your IPOD. There are two basic Bible translation you got word-for-word and thought-for-thought. The word-for-word translators begin with the original Greek or Hebrew and try to find the most literal English equivalent. In thought-for-thought translation, which has been the more popular mode in the last 50 years, scholars also begin with the texts in their original languages but concentrate less on literal accuracy and more on readability by finding corresponding thoughts or phrases in English. The NIV is a thought-for-thought translation. A third approach begins with an existing English translation to create a new version, resulting in a “paraphrase” rather tha…

Rev.Ike The Father Of The Prosperity Gospel.

To me Rev. Ike is the forefather of how to be a millionaire by using/ms-using the Word of God . A lot of todays prosperity teachers may not give him credit and honor for which he is due but they should. As a teenager growing up I heard of Rev. Ike and his ministry. Back then I didn't pay that much attention to it but today I can see how that teaching alone has affect/ effect the body of Christ. He was born in South Carolina when there was severe discrimination against African Americans in the United States. At a time when the United States was segregated, Rev. Ike was having faith teaching his sermons of prosperity to African Americans who were bound by racial discrimination. Back in the early days when African Americans suffered extreme persecution, Rev.
