Allright Now, Triumph Church Gives Away Groceries, Scholarships, Cars To Folks In Need!!
Online congregation, kudos and high five to the senior pastor of Triumph Church which has five campuses across metro Detroit, for embracing the Christmas spirit by giving "BIG" to families and students in need this past weekend. The multi-campus church kicked off its second annual "BIG GIVE Weekend" early Saturday morning with a free shopping day for more than 1,000 metro Detroit kids at the Meijer store in Madison Heights. Participating kids got between $100 and $150 to spend on items of their choosing. According to a news release, eligible children applied for pre-registration at church services and were required to be 17-years-old or younger and from households where the parent or guardian is incarcerated, legally disabled, low-income or unemployed. A number of kids under the care of the Michigan Department of Human Services were also included. "The greatest joy of Christmas is in giving," the Rev. Solomon Kinloch, Jr., the senior pastor of Triumph Church, said in a statement. "We’re blessed to be able to continue a legacy of giving this holiday season as we help thousands of children and families living in less fortunate situations."
