2019, MeToo And The Black Pentecostal Church!!

Online congregation, I truly believe that with the way things are shaping up,  that 2019 will be the year of exposure for the black Pentecostal church. If you notice we didn’t spend much energy on sexual abuse in the church until the #metoo movement came about. Without a question, strong black women are a force within the black church community, I believe the black church community owes a ton of gratitude to them. Many of us grew up with parents from the “what goes on in this house stays in this house” and “do it because I said so” generation, but I do believe in the coming year that thinking will be left behind.

Question, with the ongoing widespread of sexual misconduct and assault and the #metoo movement, how do we in the coming year 2019 empower our black women to speak up and make their voice known? I really do hope more women have the courage to speak out within the church because it goes unchallenged and it needs to stop.

  1. I disagree. The devil will not use #METOO to destroy pastors. #METOO 8s to reward prominant mostly white women who come out years later to punish and criminalize prominently strong image men. Just my observation.

    1. The #Metoo hashtag won’t destroy Pastors. It’s their lack of morals, lack of accountability, and lack of respect for God that will destroy them!!

    3. Pastors are hurting themselves by not keeping their peen in it right place. I agree that the MeToo movement won't help black women, its been hijacked by white women, I mean what you expect? White feminism is not about helping all women from different ethnicities, sadly they, meaning white women use black women to fight their battles, always have. Black people still want to include everyone in their organize movement. I mean haven't we learned anything from the civil rights movement? How that work out for black people?

  2. When women speak up, they are often shamed. Take Andrea Garrison as an example.

  3. #HIMTOO not just women , but lots of boys were molested and/or raped in the church by family friends or leaders don't forget about implications for boys/men!

    1. You said a mouthful. There are women who molests young boys as well as sexually harass men. Satan intentionally omit type stories from his national news. However, he made sure he broadcasted METOO doing so to destroy men and women. With Satan, there are no victims. It's only a matter of lost souls with him, that he take them along into a fire that will burn forever!

  4. For 2019 and beyond, Black women need to become more godly, reading and knowing God's Word and living according to His ways. True enough, we should never dismiss the actions of lustful "clergymen" who abuse women. But women are called by God to know Him ONLY. They are admonished to separate themselves from false teachers and the doctrines and the world. Black women are commanded to pray daily, seeking God to meet all their needs. They are to be pure and abstain from fornication. If they are marry, they are to submit to their own husbands, and teach and nurture their children as God instructs them. They are to adorn in modesty. They are to attend a healthy and well- balanced church where they can use the gifts God gave them to serve His people. God give so many examples of Godly women for our women to pattern. His word is not to create a void, but to fill it. It is only when women ingratiate His will black women will know His protection and safeguard. Problem is lots of black women choose to flock to the of women preachers to become empowered, and lustful "clergymen" in the pulpit, and thus therein lies the problems. They end up being violate, hurt and depressed, and seek for help and comfort in the world's movement (ie #METOO). If black women who are called by His name, shall humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked way, then shall they hear from heaven, and He will heal their land.

This is just my opinion Ms. Ann. I am stating so with NO DISRESPECT for BLACK WOMEN! A lot of our sisters simply need a good sound Biblical Base. Many are looking for love in the wrong places. But much worse than that, they are looking for GOD in the WRONG PLACES! I know what I'm talking about.
