Was Karen Clark Sheard Being Petty Here?

Was it petty for Karen Clark Sheard to even bring up Wendy Williams name, who should be totally irrelevant at this point?
( You Can Read About It Here ) Karen Clark Sheard stated in a recent church service that Wendy Williams "was trying to try us" and proceeded to sing a Clark Sister classic, Is My Living In Vain. All this clapping back is for the carnal minded. In my humble opinion by Karen even mentioning Wendy Williams name at this particular time she lost. Sometimes it's best to sit back and let folks be wrong.

Was Karen out of line?

    1. COGIC Brother, she was very petty, but I have so much to say about this, first of all , Karen is the GOAT, the way she activate that choir means that she definitely respects the musicianship, and I am proud at the way they backed her up. They were ready. Kudos to the head musician and director. The fact that she wanted to be petty before hand is another thing.

  3. Yep she was being petty, why bring up something from the past? The fact that the congregation applauded her for the comment is telling also. We can't even worship in our sacred, holy, hollowed, blessed, consecrated places without bringing the world in with us. It took Karen two second to kill the atmosphere. She had no business bringing Wendy Williams name up.

  4. People always expect Christians to take the "high road" but that is not always the case. Let's remember she is human with feelings too. That's my opinion and I'm pretty sure she doesn't care who believes she was being petty or not.

    1. I think you right Miz 11.

We need to stay away from jargon like the word "petty" and focus more on godly terms like "strife" and "wrath" and "contention" looking at these words for their deep spiritual application. In my opinion when we describe people's actions as "petty", you dumb down and people will respond according.

  5. Nah, she wasn't being petty.
She has been in the gospel music ministry/business for 50 years she has a RIGHT to be petty.
She has earned the right to be petty.
This generation doesn't realize that you have a right to be petty when you have EARNED that right.
    She is Karen Clark Sheard.
    She earned that right.
