Just Like The Bible Was Once Used To Justify Slavery It's Being Used Once Again 😑😑😑😑

Racist Attorney General Jeff Sessions sparked an uproar when he used the Bible to defend the Trump administration’s controversial policy of separating migrant children from their parents at the border. In a speech to law enforcement officers about the immigration policy, Sessions said: “I would cite you to the Apostle Paul and his clear and wise command in Romans 13, to obey the laws of the government because God has ordained the government for his purposes.” Sessions' remarks were directed toward the numerous faith leaders who have called the separation of families "unchristian." However, Sessions appears to have failed to sway his critics; he's now being accused of using the Bible to justify a policy that contradicts basic Christian values of decency and compassion toward others. To make matters worse, the passage in question has quite a thorny history – Romans 13 was famously cited by defenders of the South to justify the practice of slavery. Despite the strong public reaction, Sessions has declined to walk back his comments.

  1. Racist Jeff sessions used the word of God out of context. The word of God is to be used to set the captives free! Not to be use to justify evil and the agenda of man. Tearing children away from their parents is not the way to stop preople from seekng safety in the US. In other words "I'm going to hurt your kids In order to teach you a lesson"! That's Satan! Not God! Furthermore! How come those in this administration are not abiding by the laws? Where are the Godly morals? Where are the Godly ethics? How can they execute any law when they are breaking the laws of men and the laws of God?!

    1. Jeff Sessions, Donald Trump and Mike Pence are three of the most evil people walking the face of the Earth, because of how they constantly misuse the Bible and refer to their Christianity to justify their evil and immoral statements and behavior, and those of people they support. This was my view of them years before they joined Trump Administration, and has nothing to do with their political affiliation.

I literally cannot stand to look at them.

  2. I wonder if people used this argument when there was segregation in America?

    1. The "law of the land" does not dictate morality. The same is with the case of abortion. Abortion is legal yet it is immoral which is why the church fights against it. The church should do the same here.

    2. Yes, and other passages of the Bible have been used to justify segregation, slavery, etc.

  3. How convenience is to take the Bible out of context to justify what is wrong, Jesus NEVER SUPPORT NOR JUSTIFY CRUELTY, He always was and is with those who suffer.....I feel ashamed of those Christian who support those monsters.

  4. The Attorney General Jefferson Sessions, misused Romans 13 to justify separating children from their parents at the border, this was done in the same way politicians and clergy used Romans 13 to justify slavery not long ago.

These people believe Paul , the author of Romans was a Christian who share their same twisted values.

    * (The bible is used by Christianity, however, it is indisputably a Hebrew book, Genesis to Revelation. )

Paul identifies himself like this " For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin". Romans 11:1

And again he is " of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. Philippians 3:5

And finally, further proof of his identity " Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I". 2 Corinthians 11:22.

Here's the thing, Paul is teaching Torah in Romans 13, however, people fail to realize this, because they are programmed only to focus on the first and second verses of the chapter.

Paul is talking about leadership in the Church, the church being the 12 tribes of Israel, this is why he's teaching Torah after Christ crucified. ( Christians falsely believe the laws are done away with)

The ministers of Yah mentioned in this chapter, in verses 4 and 6 refers to Israelite leaders, not officials in pagan governments, like the Romans 2000 years ago or America today.

    * Yes civil laws are to be obeyed, as long as they don't break Torah, Yah's laws, statutes and commandments.

Paul, the Hebrew Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin, and minister of Ha Mashiach( Christ ), disobeyed the government by continuing to preach and teach the true gospel of obedience and faith, and was BEHEADED for it.

Clearly Paul wasn't saying obey governments at all cost in Romans chapter 13.

I leave you with this, then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, WE OUGHT TO OBEY YAH RATHER THAN MEN.

    Shalom.

  5. But, where are the voices of the "Pastor" Mark Burns, the "Pastor" Darrell Scotts and the other minority "Faith Leaders" who are supporters of Trump and this Administration? Why are they silent? Why should we as lay people accept their silence? The answer is that we don't and we won't! As I have posted on this site elsewhere; Make no mistake that an attack upon another's civil and legal rights is an attack upon all of our civil and legal rights. Never take comfort that because you are "this" or you are "that" that such things cannot happen to you or any of your loved ones and/or friends.

    1. The silence coming from the Christian community is overwhelming. These same silent Christians will go on mission trips aboard to these same places to promote this same god. Doggone, shame.

So if you don't pay it and Preacher,Bishop,Supt. Elder take it(you both wrong) Now days you bet not tell them you need help, they laugh at you. This goes for the Most important and the less Important. God going to get you while you living in. Big Homes Driving fine Cars, pay day coming to each individual

  7. This policy enforcement by Jeff Session is sinful, criminal, unethical, abusive and cruel! Why is he not in jail.? This is outrageous that anyone in the congress would not organize enough to get this evil man OUT of office and in jail for psychological human rights offenses. Thanks Jeff Merkley for what you are doing, do not stop, everyone else join him. Want passion....look long and hard at your children!
