Rev.Reginald Sharpe Jr, Campus Pastor Of House Of Hope Macon GA!!!

Y'all I don't know anything about Rev. Reginald Sharpe, Jr., Campus Pastor of House of Hope Macon GA, resigning or stepping down. I found this information out the same way most of Y'all reading this blog found out, by way of Obnoxious Television.  I've received a number of emails asking me what's going on, in all honesty, I don't have a clue.

Update: I've just received a text message with a link to revival services from this past week, were Pastor Reginald Sharpe JR. made the announcement that in a couple of weeks he would be resigning from his post of three years.   He stated that he does not want to do it but he must. Check out the clip below:

    1. Thanks Anonymous for the comment, I will admit I follow a lot of church folks on social media, but I have not seen anything about Pastor Smith and his young protégé parting ways, I'm not saying it's false or not, I'm saying I haven't seen anything to verify that it is true.

    1. Well thanks for the comment, but how was young Reggie given a church? I read comments stating that it was Reggie who built the congregation in Macon to what it is today.

    2. If that’s the case, good for him. Have you reached out to House of Hope, Sharpe, or Smith (or his manager) for a comment?

  5. Ms. Ann. It WAS REPORTED TO ME..." There are many rumors swirling right now about E Dewey. Reggie was probably just fed up with DEWEY's ways.

All this after Dewey was supposed to be "scandal-free". None of us really knows what goes on behind close doors. IJS Ms. Ann.

    1. What rumors are swirling? I don’t see his “manager” posting much about him anymore.

In my opinion, just because your pastor/teacher/friend told you to wait doesn’t mean he’s “hating” on you or threatened by your “anointing”. It’s believed that Nick Saban advised Kirby Smart not to take a lateral move to UGA as Defensive Coordinator in 2014 because he had head coaching potential. His patience serving Saban led him to take over the entire program in 2016. Sometimes, your mentor sees greater for you and your patience and obedience will propel you into your purpose. Keep serving and learning at your leader’s feet - until the position you’ve been waiting your whole life for falls in your lap. As my mentors told me: “Don’t rush...you’ll have the rest of your life to preach.” This is for all young preachers.

    3. This is good advice. I think your comment is stemming from William’s blog. Maybe Reggie’s season is up. He has completed two Master’s in two years. He could be ready to spread his wings.

  6. Maybe Mr. Sharpe have reasoning for moving on and it has nothing to do with scandal or controversy, rumor has it that Pastor Smith is not a forward thinker.

    1. Dewey not a forward thinker?? That has to be a JOKE

    2. Anonymous I agree, without a doubt Dr. Smith is a forward thinker.

    3. Tell us about how forward thinking E DEWEY is.

  7. Hearing Sharpe talk about walking away from HOH Macon reminded me of another preacher, Dr. Dana Carson, who left a successful ministry in Austin Tx and planted a church in Alvin, TX. Sharpe explained how God told him his work is done in Macon. With the education he has, he will not have any trouble finding a new assignment.

P.S. E. Dewey Smith is an innovative pastor, he changed the name of his ministry from Greater Travelers Rest to the House of Hope Atlanta.

  8. Hmmmm, sounds like he is trying to get in front of something BEFORE it hits the fan.
This young man was GIVEN this church and placed in a place of power and authority with no restraint and now all of a sudden he has to go?
Well, we will see what comes out soon.

  10. I’m sorry WOW, but until that particular rumor can be proven to be true, I will not allow it to be posted, that rumor with out any proof could destroy this man ministry.

    1. No Ms Ann. This man's ministry will in no way be destroyed. Many have stuck with pastors who have had scandals FOR REAL. This here is NOTHING. Please let people respond and not delete their posts. Every one THUS far has been civil.
