Kanye West Fear And Love Aren’t Opposites,Love Has No Opposite.

Y'all I've been watching as social media conversate around Kanye West and his possible coming out as a conservative.( You Can Read It Here ) I found out one of the reasons that Kanye's comments are coming up in my Twitter and Facebook feeds is because of the number of Christians I follow on social media who are suddenly "liking" Kanye's comments.

My understanding growing up was that the fear of the Lord just meant "held in high regard or respect." The tweet above is one of his tweets from the past couple of days. Now Kanye has clearly tweeted his thoughts about how he regards the Lord. But the Word of God is clear on this topic, fearing the Lord is a requirement. In reference to God, fear has always meant awe, reverence, respect. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalms 111:10 NKJV

  1. No need for any conversation with Kanye about any Biblical principles. Kanye sold his soul to the devil long time ago, so we out to not engage, but keep it moving. The only thing we should do as Christian to tell Kanye the gospel. He can accept it and be saved, or reject it and be lost. Im not sure there is any turning around with this character. He may be too far gone!

    1. I fear God. I fear being on the wrong side of His law. I fear the consequences of sin and an unrepentant heart. It is reverence, yes. But it starts with the fearful realization that He is almighty God, and I am not on His side.

Then you realize the love that looks past sin, extends mercy to the repentant sinner, love strong enough to send His son to atone for the sin that separated you from Him in the 1st place.

  2. No way is he far gone!!! The Mercy of God is new every morning!!! He's showing signs that he may be reaching out and trying to get an understanding. I pray God sends the right Christians in his path. People of love, wisdom and compassion!

    1. Thanks Anonymous for the comment, I agree "No Way Is He To Far Gone." As long as breath is in the body, then there's hope.

  3. Yes he has GON TOO FAR! Not ONLY has he SOLD his SOUL, but it's evident by rebellious statement he made to say "“I don’t subscribe the term and concept of God fearing. That’s a dated mentality that was used to control people … to fear God makes no sense.” This is COMPLETELY ABSURB! He is NOT REACHING OUT. He is being guided by his MASTER to go AGAINST the GOD of the BIBLE.

"The fear of the LORD [is] the beginning of knowledge: [but] fools despise wisdom and instruction." Proverbs 1:7 -

"The fear of the LORD [is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate." Proverbs 8:13

"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28

The SAD thing is many of us have so much hope for these high profile celebrities that they can come to SALVATION, but FAIL to evangelize the message of the Gospel to those we encounter EVERDAY, telling them they need a Savior who died for their sins. If they reject Him, they will end up spending eternity in HELL FOREVER!

    2. Ms. Ann I feel pretty sorry for this guy. He's just rambling a lot of the times. I'm not sure what to think about him. It's almost like when his mama died years ago, he went off the rails. Maybe it's just the fame and the attention that's making him act this way. Either way, I don't think his interpretation of fear is accurate, neither do I think that there is no hope left for him. As a child, I feared my parents, but that fear was born of respect. There is something historically good when someone is described as a God-fearing person.

    3. Ms. Ann. I apologize for coming across to indicate there is no hope for Kanye. I believe there is hope for all until they take his/her last breath. My point is that some people go way too far to a point of almost no return. Like the man Paul spoke about in the Bible when he sinned and despised in attitude Paul said turn over to Satan. Or the mention of those labeled as "reprobates" who had the knowledge, but rejected God in favor to satisfy the very lust of their very own flesh. Kanye talking about the "fear of the LORD" in this manner, and calling himself YEESUS is BLASPHEMY.

  5. Here we go again...come on people. WAKE UP! If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ you know that when the Bible speaks of fear and GOD in the same sentence it mean reverence, respect, honor....so when some one says GOD-fearing...it is in reverence , honor, respect and awe of our Great and Holy GOD...listen we must study the word of GOD and the etymology of words. And stop being blown away by every little wind of doctrine. Its been said time and time again, study to show thyself approved unto GOG a workman needth not to be ashamed BUT RIGHTLY DIVIDE THE WORD OF TRUTH 1 Tim 2:15.

    1. I look at fearing God as being in awe of His greatness, power, love, mercy and forgiveness. I know in my heart God is always on my side because He loves me and His son died on the cross to wash away my sins. God doesn't like everything I do but He loves me and forgives me. Nothing is hidden from God, so instead of being afraid of His wrath, I need to confess my sins to Him and repent. That's all He wants for us.
