Church Announcement: Women In Ministry Conference 2018!

Reader I believe at the heart of most Christian women conferences exist the need to help draw other women closer to the heart of God…everyday.

Great lineup: Dr. Alexis L. Felder, Regina Belle, Prophetess Janet Floyd, Dr. Irishea Hilliard, Dr. Veronica Winston, Dr. Robin Smith.

  1. This is just my opinion Ms. Ann. I just think these sessions are unbiblical because I believe men are called to lead God's people. I do believe there is a place for women in the ministry and we so often try to undermine God's plan for the edifying of the Body. He has given all his saints spiritual gifts. All of us need to use our gifts so the Spirit produce fruit and growth in His people. I don't disrespect any of these women. I just disagree how they are going about it in "ministry". I'm praying for a low turn out.

    1. You're praying for a low turnout? That's pretty harsh if you ask me. I mean, if the turnout is low, how will that make your life any better?

    2. Anonymous thanks for the comment, but why are you asking for a low turnout?

  2. While not supporting the notion of a female pastor (Titus 1:5-9), there are places in church ministry for women, so I support this conference.

    2. With the exception of Janet Floyd, none of the women listed are pastors, most of them are co-pastors. Dr. Alexis Felder is in joint ministry with her husband, Dr. Trunelle Felder. To me, it is just a time of refreshing for women who may have an inclination for ministry.

    3. But if they are "co-pastors", doesn't that essentially make them "a pastor"?. I'm Not sure her role as co-pastor is any different than her husbanb. Maybe you can elaborate. As a co pastor, does she teach the men or in anyway have authority over them? If they do so , they are in err. I don't mean to offend anyone. It's just when we stray away from the Bible (me included), we make things hard.

    4. Thanks Johnny for your comment, but isn’t Ms. Hilliard the senior pastor of one of the largest churches in Houston Texas?

    5. Sister Brock, I forgot about Iresha Hillard. Yes, she took over for her father, Dr. I.V. Hillard.

  3. With no disrespect, I'm praying this conference is unsuccessful because these women are causing division. We are called to “mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.” Romans 16:17

These women have empowered themselves so they are disobedient. This is what I believe.

  4. Hey Mike, why do you support this conference? Have you ever heard of any real fruit that comes out of conferences like these? I think we really need to examine As to whether these conferences are really really helping people and how. The brand that's presented here is a bunch of women coming together in obscurity to "inspire and empower", while manipulating people out of some cash. These prophetess come across as "annointed " and give people a word that most of the time are lies. This is just a bad brand, despite how these women beautify themselves oitwardly to pose on a flyer. Please tell me Mike of anyone you know who have attended these such conferences and how they were helped. My wife used to attend these all the time. She decided never to go back because according to her it was a waste of her time.

    1. Amen Anonymous. The Church is becoming feminized. The two main factors are women in leadership and the music that mostly cater to women. Many of these congregations suffer like our society suffers being indoctrinated by the likes of Margaret Sanger, Angela Davis, Barbara Smith, etc, I believe this to be the main reason Black Men are coming to church.

  5. I am blown away by these negative, hater aid comments regarding the Women's Conference and servants of God.
Your no biblical ignorance is sad...Have you not heard of Deborah the Judge who was married, but lead Israel for 40 years? Have you not read we are neither male nor female in God?
In the last days God said He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. We have to rightly divide the word of truth. Anyway, thank God Almighty, If He's for you, it doesn't matter who's against you and He will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. PTL...

    1. Please stop all your negativity to call someone a hater just because they disagree with how you interpret the Bible. We should be able to discuss any issue without casting judgment on one another, especially as it pertains to issues non-essential to the faith. If we are to stick to Scriptures, rightly dividing it as you claim we ought to, let’s be mindful the passage you quote “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”, Paul was not talking about positions or giftedness, but rather he said “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.” And that “For ye are ALL THE CHILDREN of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”. Paul is saying by faith ALL (women, men, Jew, Greek) can be SAVED! And about Deborah, she was a judge over a nation, gifted at that (wisdom and faith), but not a pastor over a Church. The Lord called men to lead the Church. And before you talk about women was the first to spread the news about the resurrection, all of us are called to preach the “good news”.

      REMEMBER your own WORDS…RIGHTLY DIVIDE!

    2. Thanks Anon. And to add on to what Anon said, please rightly divide Acts 2:13-20. Peter was responding to them who were there thinking they were drunk, take notice of verse 2:16

      Acts2:16 - But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

The this he is referring to is what the people present was seeing in v.17-20. This means what they were seeing on the day of Pentecost was related to what the prophet Joel had prophesied about in the Old Testament. It had nothing to do with today as the Pentecostals see it.

When studying the scripture context is very important. Who the writer was talking to, what was the situation going on at the time, etc. Acts 2:17-20 has been taken completely out of context by the Pentecostals.

  6. Thank God what you say doesn't matter at all...According to " Your" Faith Be It Unto You!!! PTL!!! Wishing failure on another man's dream is very negative and negroish and I'm white. That's why most black people are stuck! Bad karma comes back around to the sender!

  7. Maybe that's the problem Anonymous. It's man's dream, and not God's plan.

  8. Thanks Bro. Ira. You are 100 on the Joel paasage. That's another one that's misinterpretrd. It's like many in these days care not about biblical hermeneutics. And that's a SHAME because the LORD has blessed us with so many resources we can understand Hos word. With a lot of these passages of just require simple reading comprehension. The problem is people want to go off their own predetermined ideas as to how things should be. WHAT A SHAME!

  9. Thank you Brother (I believe but if you are a Sister I apologize).I agree with everything you stated and yes, IT IS A SHAME!
