Bounce TV Network Pulled ‘The Cosby Show’ Reruns!

Reader shortly after Bill Cosby ( You Can Read It Here ) was found guilty on three counts of sexual assault, Bounce TV network pulled ‘The Cosby Show’ reruns. The network said in a statement, “effective immediately, Bounce is removing ‘The Cosby Show’ from our schedule.” I guess everybody affiliated with any of his shows now will get messed over. So what do they do about royalties? Dose their work go down the tubes for ever because of Bill Cosby?

  1. Well, I hope they have other streams of income. (Shrugs)

    1. Thanks Mike for the comment, but does that mean that the others work has to go down the drain?

    2. I'm not trying to be flippant, but stuff happens. History is full of stories of one person's actions resulting in negative effects on others. I hate that it ended up that way, but I wish them the best.

  2. Shards from shattered glass houses can injure many innocent bystanders. Like Mike Walker said, I hope they have other sources of income.

    1. I get what you're saying. He used to "preach" to the black community about how we should conduct ourselves. All the while he had been drugging and raping black and white women for decades. It took the comedian Hannibal Burris to call him out for his hypocracy. That along with the Andrea Constrand $3 million+ settlement were the first cracks in the glass.
You are so right! Those shards from his shattered glass house have proven fatal to his reputation.

  3. Bill Cosby has made boat loads of money throughout his career: tv shows in syndication, Fat Albert cartoons, Jell-o spokesperson, books, speaking tours, comedy tours and much more.

Cosby had so much money that he was about to make a bid for a major t.v. network. He paid Andrea Constand over $3 Million to try to appease and silence her. He has given so much $ that he had college buildings named after him and was awarded numerous honorary degrees.

His two trials probably have eaten into his fortune. He has "old" money and probably was well invested in the market so he will probably be okay. And if he needs money, all Cosby or his wife have to do is write a book or sell a screenplay of the story, or they could liquidate some of their things. I ain't losing no sleep about how he is going to make it now that he is a convicted felon.

I supported him by watching his shows, buying his book, and I saw him give a talk at our local college. When I read his deposition from the Constant settlement, I was totally and completely shocked. His admissions reveal who he is. He had been drugging women and getting some for years. What kind of man brings the side piece to the house while the wife is there and initiates sex? That's a sick puppy! It's on-line, read it for yourself.

I wondered if they had an "open marriage". According to his deposition, he only confessed to his wife about one affair and he said he took care to keep her from finding out what he was doing. SMH
Old, sick puppy. Most of those women probably would have given him some just because of who he was and what he could do for them.
Naw, he had to drug ladies to get some. He admitted to doing it and now he is getting what he deserves.

    1. Thanks Anonymous for your comment which I do agree with, but what about the other cast mates?

    2. You are correct Ms. Ann. Cosby's conviction is causing his cast mates to lose income. Because he has become a pariah , no network wants to risk losing sponsors by airing his show.

I am sorry the cast has to suffer due to Cosby's actions. They had a good ride, but for now, the brakes have been pumped and the ride is over. I believe after the passage of time when feelings cool and memories fade and sponsor return, the shows may be returned to the air. It's going to take a while.

  4. My heart is broken for the victims, Camille Cosby, the Cosby children, his family, friends, co-stars, and Mr. Cosby. I realize that after a lot of disappointing news about people I have admired (idolized), that it is just best to look up to Jesus' example and even Jesus answered a young ruler with "Why do you call me good?. . . No one is good except God alone." (Mark 10:18 NIV). Everybody involved in this needs our sincere prayers.

  5. Sad that they are doing to this man but R. Kelly and other white men are able to go free with no issues.

    1. Chance thanks for your comment, one quick question for you: you don’t think he should be punished for what he did, even though it happened a long time ago?
