Tina Campbell On Why She Voted For Trump, We Share Some Of The Same Christian Values!!

Reader Tina Campbell of Mary Mary had the nerve to publicly state she voted for Trump because of his 'views on Christianity.' These "conservatives" always dog whistling to black people with their stance on abortion and homosexuality. Trump wouldn't recognize Christ if he hit him in the head with a bible. I would hope that we would examine a man for the character of Christ and recognize when he's devoid of any compassion for humanity. Trump is the devil.

In between rejoicing over this being the final season of her “Mary Mary” reality show, Tina Campbell told the publication ROOT  that while she “doesn’t agree with a lot of forty-five decisions”, she thinks forty-five Christian values align with hers which is why she voted for him. I have never personally heard him profess Christ. But I do know that many of his actions don't line up with Scripture. I am literally AMAZED at the number of black women who support and defend Trump. There are some things that I will never understand.

  1. I will NEVER understand this type of thinking when voting.

Yes, we can agree with a persons Christian values. but if their PERSONAL ACTIONS & BEHAVIORS are A clear CONTRADICTION to their value beliefs, YOU have shown a complete lack of discernment.

And JUST BECAUSE someone has similar Christian values DOESN'T MEAN THEY WOULD MAKE A GOOD GOVERMENT OFFICIAL.

And as for Trump, he is equally bad as a Christian and President.

  3. She's an ignorant Black Woman. There's no way any person with morals and values and be a Christian could have voted for 45. He doesn't represent anything pretaining to Christianity. Neither did Clinton but at least she had some class.

    1. Class and Hilary should not be mentionedin to same sentence. This is the woman who once refered to black youths as super predators. Not to mention her ties to the satanist and her mentor Saul Alinsky.

  5. A man who has cheated on all 3 of his wives, asked one to get an abortion, and wants to have sex with his daughter. I mean I guess she felt a connection since her husband is a cheater too.

  6. She could have kept that mess to herself...however any self proclaimed Christian standing behind trump leaves room for questioning their values...

  7. Miss Ann,

Truth is Mary Mary as a duo and Mrs. Campbell as a solo artist, sister, wife, and mother have NOTHING to do with living according to the precepts of God.

For her to say that 45's or any political leader's Christian values align with hers is a reflection to the fact that they (her, her sister, and the people she looks up to) have consistently taken the name of our God in vain (Exodus 20:7) to get that pay check and fame.

She talks foolish talk most of the time. She dragged her husband on talk show after talk show talking about how his continual infidelity, she forgave him, yet couldn't help sliding in the fact that she wanted to kill somebody.

One of the values of 45 is to ride a lie out 'til the wheels fall off. Remember the inauguration crowd? Well... Mrs. Campbell has the same value. No guesses on their daddy is (John 8:44-45).

  8. Greetings, from a biblical perspective, Trump indeed is the "lesser" of the two evils, thats why as a black Christian women I voted for him also. He's not perfect for sure, and neither are you. He that is without sin, cast the first stone. Our responsibility is to pray for those in authority that we might live a quiet and peaceful life. All this hatred, anger, name calling towards another imperfect human being is not Christ like, and reveals what spirit you're
of. As stated, satan is the accuser of all and disrespect/hate is at the root. Be in the world and not of it...Be not over come with evil, but over come evil with God and good. Shaloam...Love trumps hate, every time!

  9. I think people are correct in being horrified by Trump as a Christian example. I don’t understand why many Christians act like Hilary Clinton was any better, from a Christian values POV. For a non Christian...sure,Hilary would be better because she has more experience , is way more tactful and her values line up with mainstream. As Christians,, people should have realized that her platform undermined family, marriage, the sanctity of human life, core Christian issues (even if they are no longer mainstream).
I think we had two terrible options and it’s us Christians to blame. This country is majority Christian...and I believe we are majority lukewarm !
Trump is very uncharitable and is not pro-life in his words and deeds (he devalues the lives of DACA children and anyone who is not white ! Hilary pandered to the LGBTQ and abortion was the altar she worshipped on and she would have pushed the abortion agenda far and wide

Christians can mainstream the faith and politicize it all they want but the truth is the truth. We need to pray for the direction our society is taking and the corrupt “faux” Christianity exhibited in politics on both ends.

    1. This country is not mostly Christian. Most people carry the "name" but they are not real Christians. Most so called "Christians" are liberal and serve their own god, not the GOD of the bible. They are terribly influenced by the world and aim to please themselves and not GOD. I didnt like Trump or Hillary. But I knew one would win, and I did not want it to be Hillary. I did not want more liberalism pushed in our society, like Obama pushed. Trump is definitely not perfect, AT ALL. But Hillary would have been worse in pushing more ungodliness on society. And Trump does not devalue the lives of DACA or people of color. If people would take out their emotionalism and read and study, you will see that these children are really not suppose to be in this country technically. Its their parents who are much to blame. They did not obey the law. How are things like DACA and sanctuary cities, fair to people who are obeying the law and doing their best to come here legally???

  10. Conservative evangelical Christians, both Black & White, were more concerned about homosexuals, abortion and Muslim extremism than they were concerned about racism, poverty, healthcare and the school to prison pipeline. I have had lively conversations in and among my own family and friends.
