Trump Bigoted Evangelical Adviser: ‘God Is Not An Open Borders Guy’

Reader Robert Jeffress who happens to be one of 45 top evangelical advisers who is also a Southern Baptist pastor and leader of the megachurch First Baptist Dallas. On Wednesday, he appeared on “Fox & Friends” to discuss how white evangelical Christians should approach the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program DACA. While Christian compassion is important, it’s not the only factor at play here, according to Jeffress. "God is not necessarily an open borders guy, as a lot of people would think that he is.  This is the kind of stuff that makes me furious. They just keep on hitting that Bible until what they want falls out. Doggone shame.

  1. America and any other sovereign nation should do whatever it takes to guard its borders. According to many legal experts the DAXA is unconstitutional anyways,

  2. The thought that Jesus would even concern himself with borders, or immigration is Ludacris.

    He was about saving souls.

Foreign, domestic, natural born citizen or illegal alien. He was trying to save people.

This guy is an agenda driven pawn.

  3. Ok folks, time to throw in some BIBLICAL knowledge. How about reading where God said....(Old Testament) Israel, Protect yourselves from your ENEMY'S (parapharse) PHILISTINES, AMORITES, MOABITES, BABYLONIANS, etc., AND, Jesus came to FULFILL the Law against ANTICHRIST people (New Testament). Not only does killing go on amongst ourselves, But, people are being KILLED by illegal people AND, the WAR continues. Does that answer any questions??? It SURE settles it for me. ONLY JESUS! In Christ Alone, RLR.

  4. People who come here for a better life are not "enemies'. You biblical knowledge is suspect. Even Joseph escaped to Egypt for refuge under the the guidance of the Spirit of God.

    1. Yeah... but there are rules that must be followed for them to enter into America.

So NO, his (RLR) Biblical knowledge is NOT suspect. I would go on further to say, he is spot on more so than you are, the sovereignty of a nation is to enact laws against outsiders.

I tell you what, you open up your home for outsiders to come in and stay there.

And to the issue here, there are orders our country should follow when enacting programs like the DACA. According to our Constitution, laws for immigration comes from Congress, NOT from the PRESIDENT and the EXECUTIVE BRANCH. OBAMA once again, side stepped Congress and the CONSTITUTION (same he did with his OBAMACARE), and many said committed an act where he should have been impeached. AND what's worse is the jelly back spineless elected officials in CONGRESS, allowed OBAMA to get away with this.

NOW TRUMP is pushing back at CONGRESS to tell these spineless rep to go back and come up with laws of immigration, made a mess of by OBAMA AND A THE OTHER presidents before Him, and do what the CONSTITUTION say to do to form laws of immigration, and do the job they were elected to do.

Many folks call TRUMP a racist for his action here. And before any one claim I'm riding Trump, I'll say like I said before, I DID NOT vote for TRUMP. And More for the record, I DEFINITELY did NOT vote for Hilary either.

The President is a puppet position. He's there for some to love, and others to hate. And while folks are loving and hating, wickedness is being done in HIGH PLACES, to keep many from knowing the one who truly is SOVIERGN, and RULE AND REIGNS FROM ABOVE.

    2. Well you are preaching to the wrong fella. I am an immigrant. Not trying to find any love here, I know I won't find it. Stop hiding underneath scriptures to express your, disdain for "foreigners". What God has for you is for you. I cannot take what is for you from you. The Gospel is Jesus Christ, the fatherless, the widow and the desperate. The mistake you are making is thinking those so called evangelicals are looking out for your interest as an "American". He could care 2 hoots about you. People like those are fighting for a Caucasian America, not a Godly America. If you think those is power will not turn their vengeance on you when they are done with immigrants....

I will state I am apologetically an immigrant, an American citizen to boot. I will not be intimidated by reckless inquisitions about, "Why I came here." and those types of intrusions. Many people try to give us a hard time, but they cannot articulate how their lives would improve if every single foreigner were to leave today. Stop hating and show the love of Christ.

    3. No one's preaching to YOU!

POINT is you said you are a citizen of this country, so any law DECIDED upon will not affect you. So all your advice to stop hating and people fighting for a Caucasian America is INSANE! Fact of the matter is SATAN could care less about the white man, in as much he cares about the black
      man.

The article plainly explains how TRUMP challenged Congress to straighten out this
unconstitutional mess created by OBAMA, to figure out ways to help out those young immigrants. Alsoaccordong to the article, more than 3000 evangelicals sigh letters urging the President to work with Congress to support DACA participants. This a far cry TRUMP and evangelicals get here as being racists, narcissistic and unChristian. REALLY people?

  5. I believe God is concerned with whatever our individual needs are, and if the fallout from borders, immigration or whatever effect the needs of his people, I believe he's concerned. Totally agree, he's about saving souls!

  6. Miss Ann,

See how Jeffress has used the name of the LORD to advance 45's policy?

    SMH!

"The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein." (Psalm 24:1).

Much as we might hold titles and deeds to the land on which we live, we don't ACTUALLY own it.

"But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself... I am the LORD your God." (Leviticus 19:34).

"And this shall be the border of the land... ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you... and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the LORD God." (Ezekiel 46:15-23).

Jeffress is correct to say that God is about borders but wrong to imply that God keeps out immigrants. Therefore, he lies like he looks.

This continuous diversion from issues like why most positions in 45's administration have not been filled, why persons tapped for some of these positions decline or even those who accept decline faster than the ink can dry on paper, the firing of contraversial characters, his children's expenses on family business trips in the Arab world and elsewhere, his golfing expeditions whenever and however... is utterly suspect.

ALL 45 spiritual advisers DO NOT care about you, they care for the paper and fame they are getting. In doing so, they show the wickedness that only belongs in high places.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12).

I can't believe that some individuals on this blog fell for Jeffress' forked tongue.

    WAKE UP PEOPLE!

  7. I tell you what @ Anonymous (Joseph), as GET OUTTA HERE commented, (thanks Bro), you come in my house seeking refuge and act like a foolish person....GET OUT!! Therefore, You missed the WHOLE point. Btw, my wife is an immigrant (German) also but she DEFINITELY knows where her privileges come from...unlike you. So sad for you.

@ Shepherd, respectfully, do you REALLY think Obama (oops) or Hillary (oops) cared about you?? LOL!! You know what, MAYBE God will one day show you whose land this really is, since you all seem to want some of it. I'll take my Heavenly Kingdom over this wordly stuff ANY DAY. In Christ Alone, RLR.

    1. Anonymous,

You missed the verse on wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

You might not have noticed but I have NEVER placed 44 above 45. They are two sides of the same coin and I have made this statement a number of times on this blog. So I am VERY aware that those who swear to "uphold the constitution" do NOT care for me AT ALL!

It doesn't matter how much we possess on this earth, or who ACTUALLY owns this land, we can never take a UHaul truck beyond the grave.

The earth is the LORD's (Psalm 24:1).

Though you are "In Christ alone", you better brush up on HIS WORD too!

  8. Ok Shepherd, thanks for your explanation. I did say, respectfully...LOL! So, no need to go off!! I was just checking. OK! Btw, I think my comment was seasoned by THE WORD! And yes, In Christ Alone, RLR.

    1. RLR,

I didn't go off. You got shocked. You erroneously assumed that since I spoke against 45 I must be supporting 44 and the entire Democratic consortium.

You think your comment was "seasoned by THE WORD"? Well... I didn't see any scripture you quoted.

You don't get any answers here.

    2. I will give you an answer for starters. These guys and their churches are the descendants of those who used the Bible to Justify slavery. When slavery was no longer feasible they encouraged white immigration to counteract the black population.
The reason why there is a need for "An Old Black Church Blog", is these good evangelicals did not allow the blacks into their churches because they were ... well in their eyes not human. Take your head out of the sand.

      Delete
    3. And your answer is UNSATISFACTORY. They are not descendants of those who used the BIBLE to justify slavery. If what you said is a good reason for me to rise up, I'd rather keepy head in the sand. I suggest you keep YOUR MOUTH SHUT!
