'Fight Church' Pastor Paul Burress Charged With Forcible Touching!

Reader here we go again with yet another pastor who has allegedly   crossed the line. Pastor Paul Burress is a mixed-martial arts fighter as well as a minister, and received a great deal of publicity when he was featured in "Fight Church," a 2014 documentary film. The charismatic, in-your-face pastor who gained fame for operating a fight club in his Henrietta house of worship, has been accused of forcibly touching two women. How long did people know that this stuff was going on and when did people in his church start reporting it to the authorities?

The pastor has been dogged by accusations of sexual misconduct for several years. Several blogs and news websites featured such claims three years ago, when Burress came to public attention because of his fighting-in-church approach. But none of those accusations were proved and there is no record of any previous arrest.

  1. STUPID...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? In the last days people will be Lovers of "pleasures" (ALL TYPES OF WORLDLY & FLESHLY DESIRES) MORE than Lovers of God...2 Tim.3:1-5. "Spiritualy dumb and Ignorant". Nothing wrong with having "Godly" fun and entertainment. BUT, some of this MESS (In the church) has NOTHING to do with God. SMH (HARD) LOL!! In Christ Alone, RLR.

    1. What's wrong with wrestling in the church? Samson was a wrestler and he was anointed By God.

  2. I believe the MMA fights in his church were unsanctioned fights. Most MMA fights are approved through the UFC, but he was doing his own thing.

  3. Why stop there with wrestling in the church? Why not have scant clad women mud wrestling in the pulpit? Looks like some of you folks need a dose of sanctification.

  4. @ Anonymous...(Samson). I hope you're being sarcastic?? Anyway, if you think Samson was a wrestler, that's rediculus. YOU NEED TO "READ" YOUR BIBLE. Wrestler...Are you for real? Yes, He was anointed by God (until Deliah), BUT, not for wrestling...COME ON! He was chosen to be a Priest unto God...Judges 13.

@ Anonymous...(sanctification), you are so right about that, we TRUELY need a BIG DOSE of "sanctification" in the church. People want to do ANYTHING, which is foolishness, in God's House. ONLY JESUS! In Christ Alone, RLR.

    1. No I'm not being sarcastic but it sounds like you are.

    2. @ RLR,

      I agree with you.

      Samson was no wrestler!

The foolishness of it all! Samson is one of the people mentioned as a man of faith in the book of Hebrews.

"And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of... Samson... Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire... out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens." (Hebrews 11:32-34)

Can the same be said of Burress?

Truly "Samson was a wrestler anonymous" needs to open the bible and read Judges 13-16 and understand that Samson was a judge and NOT a wrestler.

Burress took advantage of his position to mislead a bunch of idiots using the name of God in vain.

"How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts." (Jude 1:18)
