Why Is The Church Now Flip Flopping On Women In Leadership??
Reader the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World has now consecrated two female bishops to it organization, which according to some should raise eyebrows. Now this is the mother organization of all Apostolic, what about those who have opposed women pastors in the past but are now bishops and are silent on this subject? The PAW made history with a total of nine bishops who were consecrated including two women. Bishop Gwendolyn Weeks and Bishop Mona Reid. They were also assigned foreign diocese respectively.
Never has a woman led one of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World's more than 60 dioceses, but that has now changed. Bishop Mona Reide and Bishop Gwendolyn G. Weeks has now become the first and second women to take on the full responsibilities of a bishop in the more than 100-year-old denomination. That means they will actually oversee and they will govern male pastors.
According to Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, the denomination's presiding bishop,
"I think it again continues to move us in the direction that we feel our organization should be moving in."
So what do y'all think will happen when Bishop Blake starts ordaining women as bishops?! How do you think this will affect Church Of God In Christ as a whole?!(Facebook)
