Why Didn't Tasha Cobbs Show Up For The Woman of Gospel Event In Toronto Canada Last Night? Was It About The Money?

Image
Reader, there are two sides to every story. People have heard one side and have become the judge, the jury, and the executioner. You cannot come to a conclusion just based off of one party allegedly telling the truth-that is nonsense.

Anyhow rumors are being put forth on social media that Tasha Cobb refused to perform last night in Canada, because the venue hosting the event didn't have all her money.   What is in the dark, always comes to light.

Should It Be Okay For A Mother To Breastfeed Durning Church? Elevation Church Doesn't Think So!

Reader a mother from South Carolina went on Facebook Sunday night and posted, "I just got kicked out of church for breastfeeding with a cover on and directed to the bathroom. Shame on you Elevation."

The mother was referring to what she said happened at an Elevation Church campus located in Ballantyne.

She included a picture of a bathroom at the church and the post was shared by more than 1,000 people.

The woman said she drives one hour to attend Elevation every Sunday and indicated she's never had a problem breastfeeding in the church until this weekend.

Elevation is one of the fastest growing churches in the country.
The law is very clear. A mother can breastfeed anywhere she wants in public, including inside a church service.

  1. I don't know, but maybe I'm crazy or something. lol. But my grandmother had 13 kids and my mother didn't say anything about her trying to breast feed in church. And I grew up in church and zero of this went on. I'm just saying. Yes, this is a God thing created by him only. Period, however I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, but some of this is being used by feminist groups as some empowerment thing. Again, I'm just saying.

  2. (the Different Anonymous). I'll ruffle some features...IJS. I'll say (lovingly), Lady, please remove yourself to the bathroom...PERIOD. People want everyone else to tolerate THEIR excuses for doing anything, anywhere. I agree Timezone, my mother would have NEVER done that out in public (even with a cover over the child, [me & my siblings]). It's called being decent & "moral" by God. Don't care what these Liberal/ungodly type People think. Shall we continue to put up with this Foolishness...GOD FORBID!

  3. Yes,it is natural. So is sex and something that reminds people of sex, because it is made also to be pleasurable to the eyes of your man. Why would you disrespect that? Why subject others to what you know is offensive? In a place of worship? In the sanctuary? That could have been a trigger to those with sexual lust issues.I mean would she have ate a Big Mac combo in the middle of service and claimed its natural. Some people just want to play crazy....lol.😂.

  4. What did the mother's do back in the day. I have never heard any of them say they breastfed their kid during church.

  5. I know one thing: thats a very bare looking, unattractive ladies room. With all the money these churches bring in, you would think the church could decorate this 'john' better than that. After all, its a ladies room. PS. No, breastfeed in a private area only.

  6. I think the lady came in looking for a fight. I'm sure there are nice nursing rooms. I attended two large similar type churches and the nursing rooms were really nice- recliner chairs, tvs showing the service live, and more. The enemy wants to twist all the things of God. People use to honor and respect the house of the Lord even if unchurched. As believers, we need to pray and be aware of the times.

  7. Tenacity and Timezone I agree. Feminist fight in some cases.I've been in churches where they had rooms for mothers to tend to their children as Tenacity described.

  8. Breastfeed in a private area of the church. Don't come into spaces that are designed for worship and try to impose your own personal will. No one is forcing anyone to attend church any specific. So if you CHOSE to attend, then respect that church's space and rules or go somewhere else. I personally think that there are a lot of things that shouldn't be allowed in the church sanctuary including suggestive attire and street clothes. I absolutely agree that this woman came looking for a fight.

  9. I meant to say "any specific church"

  10. Maybe these verse can shed some light in context these principles:

"Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet." Joel 2:16

"Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people [is become] cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness."
    Lamentations 4:3

Genesis 49:25 - [Even] by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:

Isaiah 49:15 - Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Psalms 22:9 - But thou [art] he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope [when I was] upon my mother's breasts.

Ruth 4:16 - And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.

    1. I totally agree Anonymous. I'm right there with you. God's creation and how he ordained it cannot be beaten. It's amazing, however we're in a society now to where everything and I mean everything is sexually perverted and everybody from the front of the church to the back of the church has weaknesses. I'm just saying. Especially the brothers, lol. However these scriptures you gave are of complete truth. However to allow breastfeeding openly in front of everyone in church would definitely take some deprogramming if you will along with understanding.

But I personally see it in today as a public display of power and some women saying, "See, look at what I can do and I dare you to say something, woman power!!" Now I would never ever want to interfere with the baby's needs, but is it at that hour and time? Right then and there? My wife stayed home many Sunday's and somebody else led the songs on the praise team, haha... I'm sorry. But seriously, I'm just saying like at the beginning of my statements, my grandmother had 13, my mom and wife stayed home.....until... But again I'm not one of those who would flip out and go crazy if a woman is breastfeeding in public, I just keep walking and mine my business. Now if my 8yr-old son is with me.. smh... Oh my goodness. That's definitely at teaching moment. God bless you.

    2. I see the concordance was used to find verses with the word "breast."

Scriptures dealing with modesty, doing things decently and in order or NOT doing things that could cause spiritually weak individual to stumble may provide an answer to the question at hand.

Breast feeding in the church sanctuary is a distraction no matter how discreet the mother attempts to be. The mother should nurse her baby in a more suitable place like the nursery, ladies lounge or as a last resort, the bathroon.

    3. True. And it is important to make sure that the child feeds in peace and quiet and not in the midst of "shouting".

As a mother, I would choose privacy over public display of breastfeeding.

  11. I don't understand why breastfeeding is being condemned. The woman was feeding her child while listening to the sermon. I'm sure she had one of those modesty garments they sell for Moms, so what's the issue? Christ taught thousands at once on multiple occasions. You're crazy if you think the crowd didn't include breastfeeding mothers, who both tended to their child, while listening to life giving words. If breastfeeding is triggering, then YOU have issues. Be not conformed to this world by sexualizing every aspect of femininity. This is a mother is nourishing her child, as Christ preached nourished her soul. I'm tired of weak saints that can't even function in the presence of nursing mothers without being easily offended.

    1. Amen Anonymous "Nourishing her Child". I'm with you. I'm sure the woman followed all the proper modest procedures to ensure her child was fed with the food God provided for her. No need to hype lust this one here.

"Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence."

  12. Oh please, she just wants attention. She has been breastfeeding during service for weeks and one Sunday they ask her to leave. Then she goes to the media. There is more too this story, I'm sure her baby was crying up a storm. This woman has issues.

    1. You just can't blow out hot wind like that unless you personally know the woman. Most breastfed babies are more calm than the ones on SIMILAC. "Judge not lest ye be judge".

  13. (I'm the different Anonymous). @ Anonymous (I don't understand why) & Anonymous ("nourishing her child") you just made a "Real Big spiritualy Ignorant statement....UNBELIEVABLE! You sound very Sure of yourself but you don't even understand the Mind of Christ or His Scriptures. Yet,you try to use "scripture" to validate your Ignorance. In other words, your carnal intellect does nothing for the TRUTH of God's Word. Go to a private place for your child and respect your husband in this matter. But, if your husband is ok with you pulling out your breasts in public, then I guess both of you need some spiritual Understanding. Shacking my head (HARD) at this type of Foolishness!

    1. Since you say the statements were spiritually ignorant, then reveal to us spiriual insight from the Bible.

  14. (different Anonymous) Ok!! Do you really think that while Jesus was teaching, he would just say....GO AHEAD LADIES BREASTFEED YOUR CHILD IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY.. REALLY! SCRIPTURE...Women should dress themselves with modesty...NOT revealing yourself to everybody. But I see, you're stuck on saying breastfeeding is a natural thing for a mother to do. YOU'RE RIGHT...IT IS. But, God has a purpose for what HE ordains which is not showing your body to everyone. It's not for another 'man' to see that a woman is exposing herself (even covered) 1 Tim. 2:9 (as well as many others). In other words, I guess I could just...whip it out if I needed too..Sorry! Why do you think Adam and Eve had to cloth themselves? So, I don't know if that answered your question or not, but I sure Understand it. Thank the Lord!
