Reader the Republicans love the Bible—or at least, some of it. One verse they particularly love is 2nd Thessalonians 3:10, which says:
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
They use this verse to justify calling unemployed Americans freeloaders who are abusing the system because they don’t want to get a job. Ain't most snap beneficiaries are children who can't work? This man is either a supreme idiot who doesn't know what he is talking about, or he is the devil quoting scripture to commit heinous acts of depravity. Rep. Jodey Arrington (R-TX) is at least the third Republican to use the biblical passage Thessalonians 3-10 as a reason to cut access to food stamps.
