Get In Formation: Female Pastors Are On The Rise!!

Reader, I just want to say that I am so happy to see more women begin serving as pastors and I am grateful to all women who are doing this, despite the extraordinary amount of grief that they catch for doing so.

We in the church house need to do far more to support women who are called to pastoral work and to encourage young girls to give this a consideration. The men in the church house need to do more to deal with their unconscious biases against listening to our sisters preach.

  1. YUP…

The issue of "female pastors" has always caused some controversy within our African American churches. Not just their roles in the churches, but in the home and politics as well. I’m quite sure now we have these female over the greatest platform, the pulpit, they will be used to expound exegesis the real meaning and interpretation of such verses inspired in Scriptures 1 Timothy 2:12 “But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” I’m sure they will make it clear as crystal to their congregants the meaning of the WORD.

Maybe these women will be the new pioneers to usher in the real understanding the verse
Ephesians 5:23 “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.” And they will teach and lead by example the fullness of God’s commandments Titus 2:3-5 “The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”

What an opportunity or as Juanita would say “a Mighty move of God”.

For a second, I didn't know where you were going with it... LOL!

It is interesting that Miss Ann, presented an image of women's legs in red bottomed heels that have an out of range price for the average woman. Could it be a projection of the fact that this represents an opportunity for "women pastors/preachers" to make them coins?

The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall NOT want...

    2. I feel you "Shepherd".

I guess I took my cue somewhat from Paul. It's said he used a lot of SARCASM.

I mean...if these women will to take charge of the pulpit, they should TEACH the WHOLE COUNSEL of GOD. I'd like to see them in dissonance teaching these verses, while acting in contrary. I'm sure however, they will find a way to twist even there.

It's just in my thought, some repetitive issues like this one that so often seem to frequent discussions, really don't need to be taken seriously.

AND about the PICTUR...I thought EXACTLY the same thing!!!

Didn't mean to slight in confusion. Glad you saw where I was going with this.

  2. For God to have called these women to this particular role would be God Himself going against His own Word.

  3. Agreed... I am not comfortable with a woman being a pastor bc the Bible nowhere supports it.

  4. And God is not the author of confusion. People are picking and choosing what they want to be so which in reality is not. He (the Father)left on record (the bible) what He wanted us to follow. People want what God has...they just don't want Him.
