Church Where's The Data To Support The Prosperity Gospel???
Reader the following post is a Facebook post from a young man who is asking the church to show data for all the money that they have collected over the years. He goes on to say he was in these churches and watched TBN for over 20 years and there was never any data to support the preaching of the prosperity gospel. When you preach "prosperity" based off of SEED giving (money) then by now there should be data sets of case study material that show how people in the congregation have amassed wealth.
This can't be nebulous because people are giving tangible money, quantifiable monetary gifts that supply church budgets and pay salaries of the pastors and staff. How do you know how many members you have and the exact tithing records BUT you have NO DATA on how they are doing economically? This is GROSSLY unacceptable and belligerently negligent.
This is not Kingdom "business". You know how many people are not tithing but you don't know how many people's net worth have gone up? You can't talk about tangible "kingdom" investment into the entity called the church and then tell people God will bless them outside of that entity.
NOPE, that is not how investment works. If I invest in Nike I should get a return on the investment from Nike, not Apple. Oh, these are gifts, not investments, so how do you require a 10% tax/tithe as a gift? This is bad theology.
